posted a message on Did Blizzard kill D3 replay value with level cap and character progression?
Who the hell wants to roll another character just to try out a new build? This and the level 99 cap were artificial game extenders. Like the guy before said, you basically had one way to allocate your attribute points if you wanted to be successful in the late game. That is no customization to me.

    40. I first saw Diablo back in 1998 at a friend's house. It was one of the prime incentives for me to buy my first pc. That, and the lingering promise of unlimited naked ladies online. Hey, I'm nothing if not an honest man.

posted a message on Highest dps class
In the beta open weekend, I killed the SK with all 5 characters. The WD killed him via Soul Harvest on his adds in less than half the time of any other class. Naturally, we are only talking about skills available up to level 13, but at that point, it's not even remotely close.

posted a message on Right move or wrong move? Closed Beta Sigil - "One of the Chosen"
I like the idea of the sigil and I wasn't in the beta. In fact, I think they should give the beta testers another sigil that has a leaky eyeball on it and says "dry your goddamned tears" just to rub it in the faces of the babies that will complain about every little thing in the game.

Rewarding one person for accomplishing something (even if it's based on luck of the draw like this) is not spitting on the ones that didn't receive the same "reward". It's OK for some people in life to get things that some other people didn't get. You self-centered, entitled people sicken me. Let me guess, your soccer team didn't keep score when you were little and everyone got a trophy, huh?

posted a message on AMD Radeon Video Driver (Catalyst 12.4)
There's been a fix for this issue as per blue post recently.

We've recently become aware that playing Diablo III with the latest Catalyst 12.4 drivers for ATI cards may cause some visual artifacts for specific hardware configurations. This issue affects users of ATI Radeon HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 graphics cards under Windows Vista and Windows 7. ATI Radeon HD 4600, 4700, 4800, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series products are unaffected, as is Windows XP.

ATI is aware and investigating. Until a solution can be provided we recommend those affected use the Catalyst 12.3 drivers.

    Update
This issue has now been resolved in the AMD Catalyst 12.4a hotfix driver. Users of the ATI Radeon HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 graphics cards are the only AMD customers who need to download this hotfix driver.

posted a message on A pvp debate
Diablo 3 is not intended to be a pvp game. Nor were it's predecessors. The Diablo series is and will be a co-op oriented game. Why try so hard to change the intentions of an already great game series? Skyrim is a very good single-player game. There are many great pvp games out there. Do people go into the forums of the pvp-based games and whine and cry that they should cater to the whims of those that don't like pvp? No, they just play the games that offer the type of play that they enjoy.

It's like enjoying mud riding in a 4x4 then complaining that the new sports car isn't good enough off road for your tastes. Different vehicles are made for different purposes. The same goes for video games. Drive what you like.

The lead developer said, in no uncertain terms, that Diablo 3 is not meant to be, nor will it ever be a competitive pvp game. Why is that so hard to wrap your minds around?

posted a message on Has D3 lost their true diablo fans?
As with all internet forums, you mostly hear from the people who come on to bitch and complain. I'd say that the vast majority of players are excited to finally be able to play the game after all this time. They like the skill/rune system. They think the graphics look good. They don't give a rat's ass about the RMAH fees. But you know what? They don't post about it on the forums.

It's the same way when a new game is released and you read the tech support forum. All you see are all of the problems that 2% of the players are having. The other 98% are enjoying their new game and not posting about it online. So that 2% just LOOKS like 100%.

posted a message on Why is blizzard forcing mobile crap on me ?
    1. No one is forcing anything on anyone. They aren't forcing you to buy the game and certainly aren't forcing you to use the RMAH.

    2. Set you bids high enough to compensate for the value you want from the item.

    3. Although you don't need a powerhouse PC to play D3, you do need a pretty decent one. Who can afford a decent PC and internet service but can't afford a text plan? They start at $5 a month. Unlimited is $20. Personally, I have the 1500 plan for $15.

    4. The items you would be selling in the RMAH are "virtual items". Meaning you didn't pay for them. You acquired them by playing the game. The same thing you would be doing for FREE if the AH didn't exist. What's this mean to you? It means that even if you sold some thing and they took 50% of the price in fees, that 50% is 100% more than you started with and 100% more than you would be getting without the RMAH.
