I'm sick and tired of farming act 1 for shitty loot. I try to go in act 2 but I get the shit kicked out of me. I do better since the difficulty has been reduced, but i still die dozens of time and now it costs me around 25k every 30 minutes to repair my shit. HOW THE FUCK DO THEY WANT US TO PROGRESS IF WE CAN'T EARN GOLD AND IF THE GEAR WE NEED ONLY DROPS 2 ACTS LATER ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I wish I could post all my stuff for you to see what i'm dealing with. While it's not the best stuff around, i think it's alright, makes me handle act 1 with ease. But forget about act 2, and I don't even want to think about what kind of gear you need for act 3-4.
I play smart, i evade and dodge (or at least try to with the shitty hit detection that we got in this game) I use spells that will slow enemies, hex them (im a WD) and try to have a good combo of dps and support spells, all that to say that I don't think it's because I suck at microying that i'm doing so poorly in act 2. I have 32k life, 3.6k amor and 300 res and 19k DPS.
I am this close on dropping this game. Can't find the gear i need to progress, don't have the gold to buy the 30,000,000 gold items on AH, this just sux right now. Looks like 10 years is not enough to make a game, way to go fucking blizzard...

D3 is funnier alone. But with my drop mods, D2 is a lot more fun in group. You can actually get items without relying on trading, items are SO much more fun, so much more fun build possibilities and just a more fun game all around.
Its also more random. D2 had less details, but almost every places (few exceptions) felt different everytime. In D3, even though dungeons change, they feel the EXACT SAME everytime, I almost never notice the difference. Not to mention the overworld is absolutely static and the random quest system they talked about is really just an on-off joke.
D2 is just so much more fun in the end. Its insane how D3 is incredibly boring. Who the hell cares about beating Inferno? I really, really, really don't. If itemization wasn't HORRIBLE it would help... -

Damn this man is preaching. If D2 didn't have its economy strangled by D2JSP, or at least if Blizzard removed most of the hacks. Id go back in a heart beat.Quote from Moaku
why ? Bigger maps, deeper dungeons, more diverse bestiary, runewords, characters not only relying on their gear, faster gameplay, less crappy caps, ...Quote from Xiaphas
@the people going back to D2.... why? i tried playing a D2 sorc after the open beta, and just couldn't do it. While I think the D2 economy was more approachable than an AH filled with 20mil gold / $250 items, D3 gameplay is still much more engaging.

ThemorUs posted a message on Whats keeping you to play D3 ?I have been playing the series since Diablo1 avidly like a crack fiend and I have never waited for so long for any game or been so excited for a release like I have for Diablo 3.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I hit 60 on my barb on day #2 of release and had tried to farm hard for a bit after that as well as try to push inferno. Barb is still stuck in act 1 inferno with 800+ all resist and 45k hp. You need more gear to make a barb viable than any other class, and there is no "farming" like there was in D2. Itemization blows...
After only a few weeks I find that I have already quit playing and have moved back to the other games I played before D3 release and am debating going back to D2 LOD!
Extremely disappointing... -

Moaku posted a message on Whats keeping you to play D3 ?Nothing.... I stopped playing 3 days ago. Sometimes I login, and try to motivate myself, but I just can't motivate enough to create a game, so I quit, and run d2 instead.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I think i'll give it another try a few weeks before an expansion comes out, which is the only thing that could save the game if you ask me... I intend to play 2-3 weeks before it comes out, to boost my bnet balance with RMAH, so I can have expansion without "really" paying it. -

ChaosCode posted a message on Really upset with Blizzard.I was so excited when Diablo 3 launched. I even had a LAN party with 25 people all to play opening night. Well, needless to say that was pointless as the game didn't even work. That weekend I tried again and had about 17 people show up. This time we actually got to play. You know that game I paid 60 dollars for. I got to play it!Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Now from the broken game play to the completely stupid game change designs they have been announcing I am the only one left out of the 25 still playing.
Now I read that they are increasing the amount of money it will cost to repair 4 or 6 times over.
Here's a pro tip Blizzard. How about you fix your ****ing game and maybe we won't die so much? I do not care how much resist or DR you have in inferno. There are some elites or rares you can not beat. Short of god mode and death zerging.
Next I here there was a gold dupe exploit. Nice blizzard, really nice. Why would the gold farming companies even need to use bots when they can just invent gold out of thin air? And you wonder why I can't survive in act 2 inferno because all the good gear cost 4m+
Then I see the disrespect towards your fans when they tell you they are honestly pissed off and you basically brush it aside like its a single person. Let me tell you its not just one person, it's not two or three. I have yet to talk to a person that doesn't think you screwed this game up horribly. It's so bad they can't even defend you. Most of these guys are hard core blizzard fans also.
It seems like the design team is basically grasping for straws to try and salvage this game.
In the end if you have any respect for Diablo as a franchise. You will issue everyone a refund and destroy this game. Rehire Blizzard North staff and make it right.
I really hope someone from Blizzard with power reads this but unlikely... Anyways, I am moving on. This game is just .... crap and there are other better things to play. Never though I would ever say that.
P.S. can I get a refund on my Authenticator and my D3 T-Shirt? -

All the issues refer do diablo 2, if you are getting WoW out of it you are seeing something that is not there.

-This game is linear, directed by quest, meaning each act is separate and the user cannot explore everything at will, this will lead to the game getting old faster because you HAVE to do things in order.
-There is nothing to do at 60 but get more gear for no purpose, D2 had ubrs, this has Inferno mode? which is the same game already played 3 times just "harder".
-Gems are boring and have small use, Back in d2 runes and runewords were farmed, adding months to the game.
-People hit level cap in under a day, it took weeks to hit level 99 in d2.
-Gear is horrid, some piece you find in normal can last you until 60 and sometimes even for a while there. There is no Gap between 20's and 50's. That difference should be pretty big.
- Yellow, Blues, Legendary, they seem to be very similar with no Huge difference in quality.
-The auction house will greatly reduce the grind, not to mention it has horrible ui
-Bots are already spamming, we have this tiny chat square that holds 8 lines of text and cannot be customized. (minor issue but annoying)
-D3/sc2 are anti-social. You cannot just go into a chat room and talk to people. It is all focused on gameplay and will burn people out quickly
- Some skills are NEEDED and have to be used to manage the character, full customization is a myth.
Do not get me wrong I was waiting for this game for years, it just seems that the "New" games, d3 and scII do not live up to their previous counterparts. I believe they should have waited before releasing this game.

Thank you for your insight on the topic, I will look into using the traps more when it comes out, it does seem a little silly to only have one attack, I shouldn't limit myself so much, although it will be a fun build to play.
