.. that's probably why you see these lines every week.

Never saw it with mw3... bf3....
Its a new era of gaming right now.
You'd think they'd have muzzled any statements that can be misconstrued
.. but I could see how continued questions, interpretations and hassling from its massive fan base would get on your tits..
So it begs the question why not just release something solid so everyone isn’t raising expectations every week and being disappointed in a week so they dont hassle and mis-interperate things.

If in Jan they had of said June 2012 release date get ready, the atmosphere and respect for Blizzard would be at an ALL time high at the moment.. because we'd be counting down and drooling for it.
At the moment people are just lost and jacked off and sick of waiting for nothing.

    To add..

The title of this thread shows my point

    JAY:
"You’ll know as soon as I know for sure the exact date."

    JAY:
''you'll know as soon as I'm allowed to say. And no, I'm not allowed to say when that is.''

For a manager to say something like, even if it is trivial its still bad practice.

For crying out loud why do people get so personal?

    Mate,

    Lets agree to disagree!

We'll let our feelings decide each other in a duel to the death in the Diablo III arena.

..... when that will be .... clearly no one has a F****KEN idea!

Judging by peoples responses in these forums and other online sites im pretty sure they flattened them a while ago.

Also, I was never angry nor am I angry. Waiting doesnt bother me I have a life to live, all I was saying is Blizzard are rapidly losing respect with this poor effort in releasing one of the most anticipated games in history.

You'd think they'd have done it a bit better, loose comments, vague statements its not how a global games maker should act, especially when they know that the majority of fans will hold them to every word and will turn on a sixpence if they feel cheated.

No one doubts Blizzard is full of hardworking go getters, no one at all. Infact its why we love it.
However, management at the top should just release 'something' for once.

' Coming months ' was how many months + 1 ago?
' Coming weeks ' was how many months ago?
    ' Coming days '

It's ... childish? no thats not the word, Its hard to describe but its not how I'd expect someone like Blizzard to act in public.

Dissapointing I suppose you could call it.

No one has said they are lying, but when you release comments giving the impression of something its pretty disheartening when they dont follow through and back it up with another 'impressionable comment'

Personally? If they do have a release date (and I dont think they do) they should just say we have a date, we will release the date on this date, you will have it before June people get ready for AWESOME.

If they DONT have a release date, they should just come out and say '' we're working really hard, you've been patient we thankyou. But we do not have a date yet. There are to many factors in play right now.

I should get out of Law and move into Media.

Amazing how antagonistic people can be towards blizzard. Do you not think they're human or something, since you attribute such malice as intentionally 'just leading people on' with 'apparently' empty words to them? Turning out to be wrong about a projected date is not the same as lying about a projected date.

No doubt they are human mate, which is why I never said '' i cant understand why your doing this ''

What they are doing proves they are human. Only a human would say provocative things to lead the masses on when its obvious they actually dont believe in what they are saying.

Blizzard would have retained respect if they had of said in January
'' The game has been delayed, we expect maybe a June / July release if we are lucky ''

Instead of open ended quotes to mislead people.

I dont follow every statement or thread, but from what I read its common to see people refer to things like

    '' Soonish ''
    '' 9/10ths ''
    '' Coming months ''

But in reality its just repeated every few months. For such a large, global corporation, one which boasts so many titles/fans and capital behind it you'd really think there's a legitimate media department somewhere filtering whats said to the public.

It seems the managers and reps are either completely let out to freely say anything or they are out of the loop.

After all this time, all the constant delays, all the diatribe of '' soonish '' and '' coming months '' you'd think they'd just wise up and say something honest, even if its not what the fans want to here, atleast its something specific and certain.

as for wrong about a projected date, can you show me where they have given a 'projected DATE?' to be wrong about?

Edit to add, I remember following the clues years ago when the blizzard homepage would change an image.. and everyone guessed and guessed over what it would be.. everyone jumped for joy when Diablo III was shown to be now a working project.

But that was a bloody long time ago, it was a lot of excuses ago.. and we are all still no clearer about when we can expect anything.

Its poor form, no matter how much I 'loved' Diablo 1 and 2 and probably 3.

    Sup ya'll...

I been following this site for a cr@p load of a long time..
Yeah I’m addicted to Diablo.. well I was at least 10yrs ago, nowadays though my times more bf3 and life.

But, I’ll be honest (take this for what you will) but blizzard have really handled this pretty bad.

They've lost a lot of respect, not just in the people I talk to's mind, but by the looks of things online as well.

No one trusts your word any more.. It’s obvious you've deliberately fed people crap just to keep them following like rabid dogs, it’s pretty poor form for such a global company.

Don’t you have media reps or something that monitor what you say to the public?

    You can’t say quotes like

    Soonish
    9/10ths of the way
    when I know you'll know
    Coming months

and then just lead them on for an endless amount of time...

I will buy a copy of the game, I’ll play it and judge it on its worth but I’ll never hold Blizzard in the high esteem I used too..

Personally, you should give the fans a date, something solid at least to stop the crap going on.
Then stick to your date, what do parents call it? Reputation? following your promises? doing what you say you'll do?..

    Regards,
    Jon.
