I just recently started playing again, and am having this same issue... any death or anytime I leave the area for a portal or anything it resets my map... furthermore my minimap for towns unless I spawned in that town is none existant when I get back to town.
I'm super poor this month, and was wondering if anyone has old keys that work that I could use. The diablo 2 nostalgia has been hitting me hard and I would love to play but can't until mid july. If I have to wait, I guess I'm waiting, but would love to play. If anyone has old keys that they're not using could I use them until july when I get my own?

Don't need this anymore, a friend found their old keys let me use them.. but there's no where to delete this post.
