posted a message on New Extreme fast XP build for wizard?
    Quote from Huminator

Fast without blink and cm is not fast. Critical mass and blink is the only tool a wizard have to speed up runs... A more proper title for your build should be. Yet another slow wizard spec.

Ok... I guess you don't like it. I like it.

Just to show you the result, I've upload two short videos (sorry my comp was lagging too much!) just to let you have quick look. I'll try to upload better ones. I've put MP0 to show your the potential of the build but someone with more DPS could easily do it on mp3-4+. I'm usally running mp2. The second video is better :)

This build remind me D2 with all the Shock/Pulse spells and the Pally spell that was falling from the sky (I dont remember the name of it)

Try it and give me your comments :)

posted a message on New Extreme fast XP build for wizard?
    Hello,

I don't know if this build has been discussed already but I just tryed that out it's really good for fast XP! Until now, I was using an Archon build. But one thing was bugging me, I had to stop to shoot my archon to kill mobs. So I tryed to think of a build where i didn't even have to stop and just walk trough enemy. Here's my final build:

    1. Electrocute (I only using it for Elite)
    2. Blizzard with increase area
    3. Storm armor with the thunder stor (THIS IS THE MAIN SPELL). I know it might sound funny!
    4. Arcane Hydra
    5. Familiar (+ 12% dmg)
    6. Increase Weapon (+ 15%)

    passive:

Glass canon (for + dmg to help storm armor)
Cold blooded (to increase blizzard dmg)
There's one passive left to decide...

Ok, basically, what I do is, when I see a group of mob, i spam blizzard in the center while running and walk through them or close to them. The blizzard and the storm armor will litteraly destroy them almost intantly. If there's elite, Ill stop for 0.5 sec and spawn a Hydra, if need ill shoot a 1-2 eletrocute. With this build im basically running the whooole time and all I see is mobs getting DESTROYED around me du to the storm armor spell. With my previous archon build, i was running MP4. With this one, im running MP1-2 (for 1 hit storm armor) but im saving ALOT of time so the xp is much more interresting. I need to optimize the buid as I just found it but, until now, I think it's gonna be my main XP build.

    I'm a wizard with around 140dps unbuffed, 180+dps buffed.

Have you ever see this build before? If not, TRY IT and tell me what do you think!
    Cheers!

    Quote from Cobearz

One..the super rich gamble all day to possibly get richer or lose money.

Isn't that the whole point of gambling??

    Quote from Cobearz

Two..gambling for gear would have to have the ability to roll decent stats

Yes of course!!! Maybe a low change but yea!

    Quote from Cobearz

Three...That could be less money for Blizzard so they would probably not do that =/

I don't really understand? Good roll gamble gear could be sold on the RMAH.
And, gamble would be a good feature to "sink gold" to control the inflation in the gold aunction house.
I only see good side effects...

You could have like a upgradable gambling character just like the jeweler and the blacksmith. I'd love to gamble some legendaries for 5M or something !

posted a message on Blizzard ignores warnings, Bans my account, Best barb ammy in USA now duped?
    Quote from Syronicus

I did see what happened to the gem prices and I see what they are at now. From the looks of things, Blizzard quietly fixed the issues considering that the price for gems is back to normal. I will wait and see what Blizzard does as I suspect; they too will fix this issue as quietly as they did the gem crisis.

You are right on the fact that blizzard took action. Most of the Duped item you can see on diabloprogress are now linked to deleted account or empty account. So Blizzard took action, that's for sure. But the issue didn't disapeared im pretty sure...

In my opinion (and I could be wrong...) what happened to gem prize is the simple Supply/Demand effect. Alot of people where duping the ")$()/ out of gems. The result was excesive supply in the market, driving the price extremely low. Smart players (no no not me!) realised that the market hitted the bottom price and started buying ALOT of gems to make insane profit. That brang the price back up. The market is now stabilised meaning that supply can't "supply" all the smart buyer that will instantly buy a gem that is underpriced. As long as buyer are still buying them, the market will stay stabilized. The price will stay very close to the one needed to craft them (as long as the duping method stay controlled).

posted a message on Archon Arcane Destruction vs. Reflect Damage
    Quote from Jaetch

Okay, I realize what's been happening:

Preset: MP10 Act III Inferno, Skills - Shock Pulse (Living Lightning), Archon (Arcane Destruction), Diamond Skin (Crystal Shell), Frost Nova (Bone Chill), Magic Weapon (Blood Magic), Energy Armor (Prismatic Armor), Glass Cannon, Critical Mass, Evocation.

    SURVIVE:
    1. Activate Diamond Skin before using Arcane Destruction and nuke is not a critical hit, regardless of number of enemies.

    DEATH:
    1. Fail to activate Diamond Skin before using Arcane Destruction on multiple enemies.
    2. Activate Diamond Skin before using Arcane Destruction and nuke is a critical hit on multiple enemies

    VARIES:
    1. Fail to activate Diamond Skin before using Arcane Destruction that is not a critical hit on one enemy.
    2. Activate Diamond Skin before using Arcane Destruction and nuke is a critical hit on one enemy.

Those are the results I've gotten so far. Of course, it depends on DPS and EHP. Next time I'm going to try running Force Armor instead and see if I can survive a critical Arcane Destruction nuke on multiple enemies.

Nice Info... I was wondering the same thing!

posted a message on Duping is rampant in USA servers now.
    Quote from DemonStain

duping isn't really that hard to do. it is all about being able to tell when a save has occurred (usually able to force one by logging off). then having a way to crash the servers. With all the bug fixes directed at patching game crashing bugs, I can see how duping is getting out of control. Once you have a way to crash the servers, you have a way to force the game to "not save". then you can do whatever you want including giving away your gear to someone else. letting them log and save their character and then you crash the server and force your character to not be saved. Then you log in and all your stuff is there because it didn't save the fact you transferred all your items. However, you friend has all the items too because they logged off and saved their character.

I don't know where you're going with this.... Diablo (and others games) use "continuous saving" meaning that save occurs as soon as you change something on your char and especially if you trade or drop something on the ground... So, altought your theory is plausible, it doesn't apply in this case.

In my opinion, I much more believe in "packets alterations" sent to diablo servers in order to bring them in a unstable state. From there, validations and security features might not trigger properly. This is when the "Hackers" would send "false actions" to provoke a dupe items. There's so many situations this could be done. Someone, somewhere found one. Just like I respect a prisoneer that managed to espace prison, I have respect for those hacker guys... I don't appreciate it, I just respect them! ;)
