posted a message on Diablo 3 stopped working
Anyone having this issue. About two days ago I was playing just fine with no lag or issues. Then the lag started happening and now I cannot get passed the login screen. When I hit the Diablo 3 icon, the game client comes up saying the game is up to date. Then when I get passed there and type in my password and what not it states I need to update to the latest patch.... and just brings me back to the game client saying i'm up to date and the cycle continues. Any help would greatly appreciate, I even did a system restore to before I had the issues and it still persists... help a guy out plz :)

Not trolling, just didn't realize. I'm new to the site, and noticed blue posts to certain topics so thought they might look at our threads.

Adding more.. on this ungodly hour i'm stuck at work now. When I found the set of Tal Rasha's on Diablo 2, or the Immortal kings set I felt like there was a purpose for those items being created and that they were home on those respective classes that wore them.... now I feel like getting a huge axe with intelligence on it... why would that item be created in first place... like it feels false. Just an additional thought on a rant way too long. Make the items make sense is what i'm after... make them feel like someone created them with logic instead of just random events taking place making crap upon crap please.

Looking to get a response from Blue (blizzard) or atleast have my suggestions shared with them.

I'm doing this message (and i'm sure it's been done a million times already) to point out some of the things I dislike about Diablo 3 and hope they fix. Firstly, however I do enjoy the game and can see myself playing it for a while. Some of the new patches have addressed my previous concerns with the game and i'm happy they've taken the steps to make the game better.

Firstly, legendaries. From the beginning they were crap, there were far too many variables that made them worthless, as well as the horrible drop rates. I know you have improved them tremendously, however i'm not sure they've been improved enough. A legendary should be miles above the yellows you find, with very cool unique abilities. Maybe even have some that you need to forge through collecting the pieces of it (again you need to fix the random thing for that). Forget a small glow on the item or something minor like that. Make the item stand right out. I remember when I first played WOW and saw a level 80 with a huge orange sword that looked double his size.... now that stands out because it looked badass.... and it was. That was just a simple example.

Secondly, with set items. I would imagine are next to impossible to complete a set, due to the randomization of loot. You can only revert to the auction houses in place, which retracts from the item hunt of the game really. I don't think the Ah's are all bad, they have there place, but I should be able to find things... or what's the point after you've done the content. Make the game feel like our efforts are going to be rewarded... you need a carrot on the end of that stick or I go find my meal somewhere else.

Additionally, all these yellows and they're useless.... ties into the legendaries (the few and far between i've found) that i've had to scrap because the stats on them are horrid and useless. There's no point pumping out more crap and giving us more crap in boat loads from drops. We need quality over quantity. Too much randomization is not always a good thing. Hit it where it matters in that respect. I don't want to get 500 rares that I will fodder for mats/sell or put on the AH and it doesn't sell. I want quality items, and i'll even work harder for them.

Lastly, the black smith.... does anyone even make anything with him anymore... again the radomization thing comes into play and making 20 of the same item looking for certain stats and I get absolutely nothing of quality and guess what... i'm out of gold for all my trouble. I liked randomization with him to some degree, but past normal I quit using this guy because it was largely too costly.

Another lastly :) Having a wand with Strength on it makes no sense... seeing as a barbarian can't use it. Again, too much randomization. Class specific items should have certain limitations on their stats, so we can find stuff that makes first of all... common sense. In diablo 2 (and I know this isn't that game) A unique had pretty much fixed stats, so you knew what you wanted to find and then worked hard to get it... now I might as well look for an axe for my wizard that'll have more stats I need than a wand that should have the stats on it for me... even on some legendaries.

I'm sure a lot of my rants might have been fixed or maybe already are, but I haven't experienced them yet and I still play frequently. Please do not reply with rants or insults... if you're not liking my thoughts just move on. Thanks in advance.

posted a message on Cains Death wasn't epic enough.
I"ve blasted people complaining about this game before, but I do wonder how they kind of missed the mark on how epic they could have made this. I'm in hell now so I have seen the story, and I gotta say I wasn't all that impressed with it. To be fair however, there were spoilers out that kind of ruined everything even though I didn't open them (titel was enough). I think it's the fact that we all waited 10 or so years for this game and we wanted something that drops your jaw. Blizzard has the capability, but i'm not sure what their aim was.

I do hope an expansion comes soon and really picks the story up a bit... there's no reason this game cannot be epic with an expansion. Additionally, I would like to know for those who played D2 was there a lot of content added from the LOD expansion from the original?

Additionally, I tried to restart the game after it seemed to close and it told me the game is still running. I found it's still on it's still on in task manager but not on my bottom menu. Not sure what the deal is.

Anyone else have trouble patching the game on this latest patch? I open the game it stays i'm up to date before I hit start to play. Then login and it states it needs to update to the latest patch. So I click ok and it minimizes Diablo 3.... only to tell me Diablo is already running and then closes.

If anyone has had this experience or knows a way around, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I just finished Belial on normal difficulty and I died like 5 times in a row, until I found the right build to annihilate him.

I've died before that with the WD... my main. The game is captivating on a number of points. Such as the environment, the story is interesting, and the magic items are a plenty.

The only MAJOR problem I have is with the legendary items... they aren't LEGENDARY. They should be hard as hell(inferno) to get, but they should be godly.

Besides that the game is stellar in my opinion. It just came out, so it's going to go through growing pains... but people still complain it's too easy, because I can just use the Ah... well don't then idiot.

So many complaints and it just came out, let them sort it out. Atleast we finally got the damn thing. I understand people are people and they like to complain, but Blizzard always said we'll never meet your expectations... why? Because people are messed up and expect the unattainable. Be thankful the game is as good as it is.

posted a message on SK Inferno stats
I'd like to add, what Blizzard game comes to mind that doesn't work in terms of damage of monsters/to fun/to being able to play the damn game. One guy cited knowing tricks to survive, and all the other things you did in D2 to make the game doable. Well guess what no one has played the game yet... I'm sure there are all those things to exploit and use to your benefit in this next instalment.

People talking about broken game design before even trying the damn game is insane. Blizzard really is going to have its hands full if people are whining before they even attempt the game.

People need to cool their jets, wait 10 days, and then make an opinion months down the road when no one has beaten Inferno. But I seriously doubt that'll happen... and if it does guess what, Blizzard will have an answer for that. Imagine that hey, the company that's been making awesome games for this amount of time being able to balance a game.

posted a message on Is Hydra useless?
One of the problems I have with it from watching the video again. In hell/Inferno I would wager as a Wizard you're going to be moving around a lot. Thus making the monsters move as well. The hydra fires so slowly that I don't see the monsters being there for the blast. They seriously need to increase the speed of the projectiles from it.

Plus there is also the large hit box of the monsters you will surely have to avoid in the later difficulties. I just don't see this spell holding up it's worth.

Too bad as well, although I never used this build in D2 I always enjoyed messing around with it because it had utility and the fun factor.... fun factor in D3 - not so much.
