I was watching a stream of League of Legends on Own3d when someone in the game said "Diablo III May 15."

I assumed it was trolling, but I checked my usual sources, the main page here being #1, and lo and behold, there it was in all its splendor.

I knew LoL was good for something.

It's a mixed feeling, knowing that such a massive wave is going out, with all the speculation that may bring alongside it, but then having myself and four friends opted in from the beginning, entering contests, etc., and still not being in.

Oh well, I'm happy for those who did get in, even if they got in on a second account... *glare*

While I think it would be interesting to have unidentified items available for purchase on the AH, I can see why they are not.

If you look at the trouble the RMAH had with Korea as is, this would be seen as an even more literal form of gambling, and would probably cause a lot more trouble with legalities.

Perhaps there can still be a market for this with personal trades for gold.

Anyway, from what I can tell, this seems to be an amiable departure, but there really isn't much to go off of. I hope everything is alright, both with Steve Parker and the state of Diablo III. I wonder if there will be any follow up information related to this in the near future.

I've been watching all the release date drama and shenanigans, and it's been amusing, though still frustrating. I keep thinking that in some alternate universe out there, I'm playing Diablo III right now.

Hello Sanctuary,

It's a pleasure to finally join this community, as I've been watching and reading as many things have gone down in the Diablo universe.

I've been an avid Diablo player since the beginning, with both Diablo and Diablo II making my list of top 10 games I've ever played. I've been eagerly anticipating Diablo III since witnessing the destruction of the Worldstone, and now the time is nearly here.

I hope to have some good discussion with all of you in the future!
