posted a message on I hit level 70 and...

Depending on how many runs you went through and what loot dropped for you, you can be stuck anywhere between GR25 and GR45.

What I have noticed is that "fresh" players aka noobs tend to make the wrong choices when rerolling stats from the mystic. Example: if they are running a typical build revolving around Crit hit chance (CHC) and Crit hit dmg (CHD) but dont have either of those stats on gear, they roll off a secondary stat for a 2% chance to freeze / stun.

It also depends on what you are gambling for at Kadala. I always recommend to new players to gamble for armor pieces with kadala as they only cost 25 shards. never gamble for weapons or jewelery until you are looking for mynute upgrades or plans on using "hope of cain" from kanai's cube.

Also make sure you find the kanai cube in A3 and do bounties. With kanai's cube and some correctly roll rare items (yellow gear), you can easily break passed GR25.

I'm not going to give more advice, as there is to much content.

Hit up Desolacer on youtube. His channel is rounding out really nice now a days. He is currently making different builds that aren't META , meant for material farming, or just to show case all the other builds out there.

posted a message on Any idea when S9 is ending?

it ends 1 week before season 10 starts.

3 months after the start of the season it will end.

6 months after season 8 began.

It ends when Blizzard says it ends. You see this wonderful notification on the battlenet desktop, "SEASON XX IS ENDING SOON."

Sorry but these questions are FACEPALM moments.

in game bugs or this website?

in game bugs, you obviously go to battlenet as its a blizzard owned site.

if its diablofans, you post in general and let bagstone or one of the other Moderators sort it out.

posted a message on Why Not Non-Season 30% Primals, Season Perfect Ancients.
    Quote from KedarWolf»

I was discussing D3 patch with some other players. Perfect Primals don't make too much sense non-season for us non-season players that don't have a lot of time to grind as we can pretty much be sure to already have really decent gear and perfect Ancients may not be a huge upgrade. :facepalmsign:

Wouldn't it be better to have 30% better Primals non-season and perfect Ancients season? :?:

Other than the coding mess it could be implementing it in the D3 server side I think it's the best of both worlds.

    Just a suggestion. :bigD:

no this is a huge facepalm. Do you know what happens after a season ends? All gear rolls over. Not only that like IceOner said huge programmer issue.

There will be more incentive to play season if this ever happened. the season regulars after roll over will be able to combine Perfect ancients (gloves, ammy, rings) and Primal ancients (weapons, off hand, and other mainstat depend gear).

I don't think you fully thought your argument out.

posted a message on Patch Notes LoL !!!

its still bugged. I tested it just on a GR50. The dps output from shield Bash is much higher than shield glare proc. It counts the 5 most recent stacks however, it still lacks damage. It doesn't benefit from CoE (as in its bugged). Due to the CoE bug. I opted for a justice lantern.

Pretty much after the 5th stack of shield bash, your APS is ramped up so high its better to continue bashing. The moment you shield glare, you loose the 75% damage reduction and the 250% IAS. That means you need to re-stack.

The shield Glare was hitting for 450 mil. Which is nothing compared to other classes.

The Flail of the Ascended needs at least a 250% multiplier to compete with the Hammerdin build.

Nothing, because I sincerely doubt there will be a D4.

I have to agree with you. I mean people blindly speculated that there was going to be D2 HD, D4, or an expansion announcement at Blizzcon. We were all wrong.

The Devs themselves even after 2.5 years of paragon 2.0 said they will not change it. Implementing Primal Ancients is another sign D3 is here to stay. If you want something "better" go to a different ARPG. A different Dev team promised PvP arena. It was Jay Wilson's team. Currently his team is working on WoW and Jay Wilson no longer works at Blizzard.

At this point its more logical to speculate we'll get DX12 support, more class packs. and they'll probably implement china's pay to win formula within the next 5 years.
If you want D4 to happen, Blizzard need to buy out Path of Exile development team and move the current team to other games.

Ive been stuck at 62 gr for a week or two now, with little to no time to play.

Aside from needing more ancients and better rolls, do you guys have any advice?

I was thinking about switching to Earthquake but I really feel like Zodiac WR is the best.

like another has said. you waste some rerolls. I am not against the APDs + secondary freeze combo. I say end game. Nemi bracers will become APDs when people push high enough. You only need those secondary roll if you have the CHC, CHD, and AD already. Basically the belt is the only piece you didn't mess up.

You need CHC, CHD, and AD

CDR will be on your weapons and helm
You also get CDR from Zodiac + Pain Enhancer. More IAS > you spend more fury > you proc zodiac.

%skill dmg and %elemental dmg falls in the same pool. those are additive stats. If you have the bold Stats, then make sure you have these.

Ammy should be HF or Eye of Etlich. Ideal rolls physical%, CHC, CHD.

High CHC heals you with blood funnel. and you wont benefit from the high CHC unless you have high CHD. Its a 1:10 ratio. So 50% CHC would best perform with 500% CHD. Area damage (AD) helps you clear the rift faster. You need 100%+. by default AD will always have a 20% chance to proc. But the damage out put depends on you.

Does nobody realize that this is actually a good thing?

Paragon will now be even less important considering the diminishing returns on mainstat...

This is a step in the right direction people!

Exact the first thing I thought.

Same was when they announced Caldesanns...

It's about the grind yeah, but it's Diablo.

I rather search for a primal ancient item than mindlessly farming paragon.

But lets be honest it only diminishes the gap between 24/7 players and players (like me) who are efficiently playing between ~3-8 hours a day.

Players with less playtime or determination will still suffer from this. It's why I can understand the mostly negative feedback.

But in the long run it's a minor improvement to the game, especially if you're mainly playing NS.

phew. i am glad, that there is a distinction between 3-8 hours per day and 24/7. now you can hope against hope that the last needed item drops, is not only ancient but primal ancient AND has the right stats rolled. which REALLY isn't more mindless than paragon grinding..
the thing is it doesn't diminish the gap, it makes it wider. The gamers that play 24/7 will get more mats have more play time and have greater odds to get 12-13 primal ancient gear versus you. A casual gamer that is stuck with ancient gear. Now what happens after the primal ancient farming. MORE paragon grinding to level up your legendary gems to augment these primal ancient gear pieces.

Have you not forgot Kanai's cube. ancients have a 10% drop rate by default. Primal, I will guess 5%.
Lets reroll a non ancient and hope to get a primal. First reroll we get an ancient. "Oh this is garbage, i want a PA." 2nd -10th, are all non ancient. 20th reroll, "yes a PA, but it has the worst affix, its worse than the regular anicent." back to rerolling.
I would rather have them re instate mortick bracers or remove that 100% drop rate buff that we all got early into RoS launch.

with the barb you wont be able to toss one boulder per second. not if you are not surrounded by a bunch of enemies and just if you dont care about the 6pc raekor set buff.

also, nobody uses coe with a raekor build. at least not the past few seasons^^

and im not 100% sure about the numbers for the barb. i never checked how high the crit numbers actually are.

You aren't entirely correct. But neither is the original post either. Seeing how you can use CoE with the hammerdin.
    Charger / BT Barb
in SC its FnR + RoRG (cubed)
in HC its Band of Might, Unity/CoE, + RoRG (cubed)

posted a message on Minnesota Winter Wizard (LoN Ray of Frost) - community questions regarding feasibility of the build

You don't quite understand how LoN builds work.

Its best to use a skill with a high dmg multiplier and gear support.

Heres my modification on your build

    http://www.d3planner.com/925751529

833% more dmg output, 12% less toughness. What i did was use Ray of Frost as a channeling skill to proc Energy Twister and Blizzard to auto cast with that Etched Sigil. I also assumed paragon 800, because that is the average level of the player base. Gem level70 augments and level80 gems. I replaced your Gogok of swiftness with Bane of the Stricken.

    Sample test:
    10 yard radius
    20 whites
    1 elite

That being said, if you were going for a pure Ray of Frost build. Just "Play your Way."
