This is the Wizard build I'm considering on using. It allows for a good amount of damage output and a decent amount of survivability. Electrocute with Lightning Blast allows to hit more hell minions before they get closer to me. I gave Arcane Orb the rune Arcane Nova to allow for more AoE damage for large packs of minions. Lastly, Meteor with Comet not only gives a straight boost in damage, but also adds a slow to allow for more damage before minions get closer.
The defensive side comes from Teleport, Energy Armor, and Archon. Teleport is runed with Wormhole to allow for multiple teleports if necessary. Energy Armor is runed with Prismatic because resistances were a pain to deal with in Diablo 2, so I thought it might be a good idea to have this for a little more protection if the same thing happens in Diablo 3. Lastly, Archon buff of 40% armor and resistance is very helpful, and making it do 25% more damage with Improved Archon is icing on the cake.
Lastly, the passive abilities allow for more damage, longer shields and health regen, and arcane power return (this maybe changed though depending on how well arcane power works at level 60 or while leveling). If I do end up taking out Prodigy, then Paralysis (since Electrocute will be spammed and adds survivability) or Blur (if I find minions getting too many hits on me) will be swapped in place.
Oh boy... Next week could be very very interesting. Can't wait to see a write/patch notes about all this.
Note about radical changes: You have to think that Blizzard has had a lot of time working on this and they have stated long ago that everything was still being worked on. So, they have had the time to work on this and make sure it's what they want to be "perfect". It just seems radical because rather than everything changing over many months for Blizzard, we get these changes in one day and have to cope with it. I personally can't wait to see the news, very exciting!
I'm very worried to how this new runestone system will work. I'm really hoping it's nothing too far from the old idea they had created. I liked the idea they had already. Only time will tell though. Hopefully soon....
and your build is what skills you choose to use. period. thats what a build is. its the set of skills you are using to compliment your playstyle. if you want to copy someone elses build because you liked it, its still your build when your using it.
It's not a build, it's just skills you are using in your rotation. How can't you see the difference?
I can't read anything else you say after this. If you're build isn't your skills, what is it then?
If you look at D2 (since everyone is comparing to it), your build would be a summon necro, or hammerdin, lighting sorc, etc. What determined those builds? The skills they used and built up.
In your argument, if skills dont constitute as a build, then that would be like saying "Hey I'm a Hammerdin, but I only use Smite!". That does not make sense. You take the meaning of a build AWAY when you don't link it to the skills someone uses.
However, I can agree that it is HARDER to give a name to a build in D3 since you can easily use 6 skills. Though, in the end, the skills one uses = their build.
I have become jaded to the fact this game keeps getting delayed, and bought CoD mw3 I will buy D3 next year (cause I can only afford one game a year).
LOL not even a month passed in 2012. It hasn't been delayed more, it's still "early 2012". And only stupid would assume they meant Jan-Feb, so it's still around March-April, it's still possible, so no delays so far.
U can start be mad if there's no official release date by the end of April.
Actually, I would start to get mad if there is no release date by end of February maybe March. Or Early 2012 is no longer, thus making it delayed. Have to think, there will be at least 2 month leeway when there is a release date.
At this point I don't really mind when it comes out since I'm back at school and busy as hell. I was hoping for it during winter break, but then it go delayed so yea.....
Edit:
Apparently this thread is about Skyrim now. My apologies.
I said yes just because it would be so lolzy
What if the delay is to improve the Secret Unicorn Level or just to make it in general!

I just hope it will still be possible to solo it. Not that I necessarily want to, but I want to have the choice.
What I get from this is that it will still be possible to solo the content in later difficulties, but it will be "brutally difficult". The Followers will help ease situations but probably not a necessity.
