Raptorbonz42 posted a message on WD class mandatory skills for inferno - unlike the rest?I wonder why you can walk through a wall of Fire if it is a wall? That doesn't make sense...Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Seriously though I see a lot of speculation and distrust of Blizzard here and while some may use WoW to say that we are right to not have faith, I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt until the game comes out. Will we need pets? I don't think so, but I don't know. I will find out when I play. Does the Doc only have one survivability passive. No look at Blood Rights, It gives you 2% health regen. and since healing spells tend to give you over 3000 health we can speculate that health will be over 3000 meaning that it could easily cover the cost of light spell-casting assuming you don't go a Mana-less or nearly Mana-less build. Here we must also take into consideration that not all passives or even all skills have been revealed for each class (Fetish Sycophants anyone?)
I think that the way the Kazraa act when they encounter the wall indicates that they can move through it and If you look at the whole game play preview the second wall shows more clearly that when they are in damage range of the wall they are slowed and they continue to move forward, even on the edges of the wall where they could quickly walk around. That, however, is still speculation.
As for the argument about width...the term is ambiguous and there is little to no indication of how they are using it. To me I understood it to be a two layer wall that can be passed through slowly, but there is no indication that this is or is not true. Also, the reason they are called widescreen is because it reads much better than longscreen. :Thumbs Up:
Bottom line, wait a few more months, and then we can talk about this. -

Of course, even if this was the case, they could EASILY change this one rune and zombie wall mechanics to ensure better survivability for the WD.Quote from d3maniac2012
you do realize were talking WIDTH and not LENGTH right? two VERY different things. the WIDTH makes sense for its if able to be walked through, LENGTH would make me believe the opposite is true.
And even IF they can walk through it, its still a great slowing ability, aka Defensive ability without a CD.

OP has a good point. Now imagine Hardcore Inferno WD. Pets will be 100% necesery. Infact every class will be based on a safe build. And WD has an obvious safe playstyle which is to hide behind the summoned meatshields. Im pretty positive that very few players will dare to test out unconventional safe builds in harcore.
That is the whole point of Survival Mode, to survive.
Every class will likely take its BEST defensive abilities for survival mode. -

Check out this logic guys:
Nov 8 is blizz quarterly conference call. My money is on them giving a release date for the investors. And like SC2 & Cata were both released 10 weeks after their announcements that puts D3 release Exactly on Jan 17!!!
Odd, I know I have seen that date before.
Ahh I found it,

I just stumbled across this blog. Whoever is behind it has both done their homework and has insider connections. He accurately called Pandaria as the setting of the World of Warcraft expansion as early as March, and everything else he's predicted has been dead-on down to specific details (such as the real money D3 auction house, or the Pandaren racial traits).
So basically, the original release date for Diablo III was going to be November 24, 2011, and the backup Q1 2012 date is January 17, 2012. Given that it seems they had already planned for a possible delay, it's likely that they will stick with this release date. -

Kardax2 posted a message on Rare and Champion Loot > Boss LootIt's a good thing. Repeatedly running bosses is predictable and boring; being able to efficiently farm everywhere will keep the game fresh.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
It runs counter to RPG conventions, but makes Diablo 3 a better game.

Phrayed posted a message on Paul Sams' Blizzcon InterviewWhat is more appealing about Diablo 2 up until Blood Raven as opposed to Diablo 3 up until King Leoric?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I really don't see it. I think Diablo 3 is infinitely more entertaining in that short time span and Diablo 2 is my favorite video game ever. The start of Diablo 2 was easily the worst part of playing the game. -

It's not a personal attack so much as just telling you (and other people who complain about this) that they just come off as whiners for no reason what so ever.
"OH GOD! YOU CAN BUY A SUBSCRIPTION TO WOW AND AT THE SAME TIME GET DIABLO 3! WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE BY BLIZZARD! JUST LET IT DIE!!!"
What? Why do you care? Just buy Diablo 3 and don't get the subscription.
Let one of the most (if not the most) popular games in history just die? Don't give discounts for their players who want to play both WoW and Diablo 3?
So Blizzard should:
1. Just abandon their cash cow that has brought them billions of dollars.
2. They should be less friendly to the Diablo and WoW player fanbases?
Do you know how ridiculous that sounds? No one would call you out on it, but those statements are just ridiculous. It bothers me that you do not realize this when it is just blatantly obvious.
In addition, it is YOU who is slapping Diablo 3 in the face. It is you who are questioning it, not Blizzard. If the game is good enough, people will play. If it is more entertaining/addictive than WoW, people will play it over WoW. You seem to have this opinion that they are giving away Diablo 3 so that people can play it for two weeks, beat a couple of difficulties and then go back to a game that YOU YOURSELF believe to be inferior.
I guess it just comes down to this. I shouldn't have typed it all... because in the end one thing describes what you are saying:
"What you are saying makes no sense." - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
