Amen to that. She could REALLY use some lessons in broadcasting. Or just get a decent host instead.
On that note: Isn't it funny how EVERYONE suddenly has female casters for videogames? Curse does it here, LoL has it on their Summoner's Showcase, HoN has it in their Champion Spotlights and that's just to name a few.
What's your take on this trend? Are gaming sites and games trying to lure in their male ordiance by displaying a cute gamer female? Personally I don't particularly mind as long as they can deliver, but when I see one such as the curse one, I can't help feeling that they are sacrificing quality over *Sexyness* which in my eyes are bad.
It's not just video game sites either. Every tech blog out there has a female caster too. It seems that publishers think that these vid's are the only chance us "nerds" get to see women. Although, on a side note... It's always awesome to see woment talking about tech or video games... just sayin'. -

Oct 28, 2011Saljen posted a message on Diablo 2 Patch 1.13dI use Windows 7 64bit and ran into the same problems as you, this is how I fixed it, and it's worked on multiple Windows 7 64bit machines.Posted in: News
Uninstall Diablo II completely, download the installers from blizzard. BEFORE you install Diablo II, right click on the install file and enable Windows XP compatibility and Run as Administrator. Then install Diablo II, do the same for Diablo II LoD BEFORE you install it and it fixes all color issues. You can freely alt+tab in full screen mode with no issues.
Hopefully this works for you =D -

Oct 28, 2011Saljen posted a message on Diablo 2 Patch 1.13dThats cuz that pala prob had 20k forum gold. It's not unreasonable for there to be rune drops within the first day of the ladder, just takes the guy with the most amount of resources to be able to buy those runes early on.Posted in: News

Oct 15, 2011Saljen posted a message on DiabloCast: Episode XXXI don't know about you guys, but the only reason that I ever leveled a character on Diablo 2 was so that I could PvP at end game. I don't think anyone had fun just spamming baal runs till 99 and then just stoping... PvP has always been Diablo's real end game.Posted in: News

They stated at the most recent blizzcon during the PvP pannel that the skills are already seperated into a PvP version and a PvE version. Meaning not only can they adjust damage of a specific skill for only PvP, but they can also adjust stun lengths and any other modifier for only PvP without it affecting PvE what so ever.

To a point. I don't think there should be a stat that reduces damage further, just a blanket reduction when doing PvP, say 35% damage reduction to all classes or something. But you also have to realize that Armor and Resistances reduce damage by alot, and work together. So if you have 7k defense or 65% DMG reduction and 600 resistances or 60% DMG reduction, they work after eachother. So you get hit for 50k, its reduced by 35% first, then 65%, then 60% bringing that 50k dmg hit down to 4550. (obviously the numbers i used for defense/resist/reduction are not real numbers, just pulled them out of my ass, but the poitn remains true)

You didn't play Diablo 2 did you. MF'ing in Diablo 2 was ONLY done solo, botting or no. The only time I went into a public game was to trade, to PvP, or to level, and this was the case for the majority, not the minority. Diablo 2 was also massively gear dependant. You couldn't do solo Hell Baal runs without meeting a minimum gear point, and you certainly couldn't do it naked, just the same as with Diablo 3. Also, the minions in Diablo 2 got harder when people joined your game as well, that's the reason people did public Baal runs, ect. The monsters were harder and you got more EXP. The only complain I can see anyone having about this is the lack of reward for doing public games, you no longer get extra EXP, you get the same amount of EXP which makes leveling a more solo experience for those that want it that way. All in all, go back to D2 if you think its better because you obviously never played it the first time around.

Also, your making it sound like a demon (Lillith) would be more powerful than a nephalem. I think that Adria is indeed a nephalem, just like our characters, which would make sence for both her long life and her assumed power, since nephalem are more powerful than both angels and demons.

Blizzard stated at the last Blizzcon during the PvP panel that the PvP would be based off of a combination of your hidden rating as well as your gear rating. So no, it won't be poorly geared/good players vs well geared/bad players, you'll be paired with people who have similar gear to you as well as similar skill.

Also... if you didn't know about the hundreds of hidden stats in Diablo 2, then you never really played Diablo 2. You were just one of the people who walked through normal and killed Diablo and said you beat the game and now you brag that you were hardcore into D2. Diablo 2 has SOOO many hidden stats that were absolutely necessary for high end characters, especially in PvP.

Honestly you don't need Blizzard AND Hydra if you have Arcane Orb. The only reason you would use both Blizzard and Hydra in the same build is if you are doing a full DOT build and you don't use Arcane Orb. Basically in inferno you NEED 4 slots dedicated to defending yourself. Teleport/Fracture, Mirror Image, and Force armor are almost must haves.
