What items give LoH? I'm a barb doing the same thing right now and all I need is LoH (as of right now I have 0) but I don't have billions of gold to spend. I know that rings and ammys do, anything else that I should keep aware of? Anything that would be relatively cheap..

Also, what's your average LoH per item? Is 100 LoH good or should it be higher?

it's obvious as day light that they're trying to center the game around AH like we're some freaking brokers!.

I don't see what's wrong with using the AH. You have gold, you can use it. And no one is forcing you to buy the overpriced items right now. In D2 you could hardly ever find the item you were looking for, just as it is now. Except then you had to spend hours looking at game names in order to find someone who was trading what you were looking for. AND ONLY IF YOU HAD THE ITEM THEY WANTED. Now it's standardized with gold so it doesn't matter what you have you can just go and buy it. And it only takes a minute or so searching through the refined list of item to look for something you might want. In my opinion, the AH made it 10x easier to get what you need.

I really hope they don't nerf the Best Served Cold rune because it's overused. They are trying to prevent certain runes becoming necessary in order to progress in inferno but I don't think that these runes are as overpowered as some think they are. What players are trying to find are ways to survive. It's survivability that people are looking for, namely heals. Barbarians have very little in the way of heals and Revenge is almost the only way to address that issue. So maybe if they were to create/change other runes to grant health Revenge wouldn't be used as much. As of writing I can only think of two others that give barbs health which is one of the Rend runes and one of the Overpower runes. The Rend rune gives very little, in my opinion, and the Overpower rune has at most a 15 second cd which isn't very good survivability wise.
I think another and possibly more fun way to add survivability is to buff lifesteal. Right now it seems next to useless. One of those, "ugh, what a waste of a bonus" on items like thorns and plus to health pots. Thorns would also be another good way to add survivability. Instead of merely just doing damage to attackers they should "reflect" damage. First reducing the damage you take and then doing damage to the enemy (if they do this, though, they would have to nerf the numbers because you can easily get a few thousand thorn damage which would be a ridiculous amount of damage reduction).
As of right now there just seems to be too many problems with survivability and not enough ways to fill that need. Hence the congregation to certain skills and runes.

A question (possibly a dumb question that is common knowledge and I'm just too stupid to know it):

    What does "bonus affixes" mean?

EDIT: I might have figured it out - does it just mean the number of random affixes you get after counting the guaranteed ones?

yup. All legendary items have a specific affix (or even special ability) attached to it and then some random ones thrown in there too. This way, even if you find a legendary item, it may not be the most optimal one for you. This will simultaneously make the item hunt longer and harder while almost forcing you to trade (because the likelihood of you getting what you want if almost 0). All of which will preserve the longevity of the game and make items not devalue as fast on the AH

I like the change that any set item less than lvl 60 can be crafted. This way you'll never need to keep a bunch of lower level items just to complete the set. It was always so frustrating looking for that last piece even though you would never actually use it.

posted a message on Damage or Utility?
If by utility you mean fears, taunts, and such then they might not be necessary, even in inferno. However, if you're including defense spells then, yeah, you'll definitely need utility just as much as damage.

My favorite wizard build so far is a mines/slowtime build. At least in the tool tip, there is no limit for land mines so you can place as many as you need in one area, then use teleport to grab a bunch of aggro and pull them into the landmines. You can throw down a slow time and just meteor the enemies as they slowly walk through all the mines.

I doubt this build will work since its so circumstantial but I love it XD.
