Convesrely, the best source of consumer opnion, wants, feedback, bug reports, chances for quality improvement ARE from the public. YOu simply have to decide how to obtain it and how to sort it, and perhaps most importantly, how to qualify it. That's not buyer entitlement, it's smart business.
Not every game has to have consumer input, and that input isn't always helpful. In fact most of the time it isn't helpful at all. In this case however, it is entitlement because you're no longer providing Blizzard money to develop Diablo 3. It's not something earned, it's given by the developers. Just because you paid for D3 doesn't mean you're entitled to have developers listen to your opinion. Just because you've played their games for thousands of hours doesn't mean you've earned it either. It's up to them to decide whether you have or not. I mean really, you make it sound like they owe you something for you playing their games so much, that just seems backwards to me.Quote from Darkrealmx»Again, they have a product because we buy it. Since when has it been okay for businesses to do whatever they deem as right and that consumers have no say/input into what they want? You think that is entitlement, but I think that is consumerism. Entitlement is not the same and perhaps before you label something as such maybe you might want to educate yourself on this first. Why do you think billions of dollar are spent each year by companies to get input and do consumer testing? Sorry, but entitlement is the idea of getting something you want without having to earn it. Like most who care to spend enough time posting in a forum we have spent thousands of hours on their games and pay for them I believe this should at the very least give us a voice but not necessarily the decision in the final product.

Secondly, the new WW/Rend set looks like fun. I know Rend is clunky but two applications that last for 30 seconds will give you plenty of time to WW all over the place and kill stuff. I personally love the idea. There is some synergy between the set, the belt, and the ring. Seems to me it would be pretty OP if done right.
Last- No. I want the ancient items to "feel" special. Not a whole stash of them... If one a week dropped while grinding out T6/GR30+ it would be fantastic. The item hunt is one of the only things LEFT to do in this game...

Don't you all get tired of NO ONE ever saying anything that has real value? "we feel this is in a good place(insert 6pc sets, barbs, monks, etc)" - how many times have you seen and actually AGREED with that statement? Are we not the customer? Do we not have input beyond "designing a legendary item workshop"? Did everyone forget PVP? Has everyone forgotten the "millions" of builds?
That said, I am grateful for even the smallest scraps of changes that lead to something better because this isn't going to change anytime soon.

Here is why people think this could be true:
Many years ago, you could find "hot" servers for Diablo clones. They were true and it did work. Currently, when you log into a game, you get what you believe is a hot streak and check your IP. It could or could not fit what the OP is stating. Which by definition is RNG. HOWEVER, if you pay very close attention you should see a bit of a pattern from games that are dropping nicely. You will notice, random rares from white mobs and higher than usual rare ilvl drops. I do not believe these are tied to IPs, but there are definitely some games that drop better in general. There is no real way to know how Blizz codes this, even if you statistically did thousands of runs. My advice would be to restate, kill fast. Its a numbers game. Eventually, regardless of your MF/NV/PL, you will find a legendary or set item.

The legendary issue is overdue at this point. To be honest, they should have known that going into this game given past experiences.
The acknowledgement of the lag issues and the lack of hardware to handle the load is pretty forthcoming. I trust Mike. I believe he will lead the team back to where it needs to be.
So, if I could tell him thank you, I would.
