Wave of Light is getting back to what it originally was when before the beta. Originally the skill did I think 2400% dmg cause I saw it and was like WTF! (but it could have been 1200%) but I know I slowly watched it drop lower and lower to the point that it was useless. I'm excited to get to try it out and see if Monks will have some skills that are worth using now since I only play my Monk when I play.

Man, people sure have some snide, accusatory rhetoric to offer up to the dev's and CMs. Why even bother playing a game when every shift and change brings such anger? I mean was the ability to grab items from a jar REALLY what made the game fall right in line with the persons ideal set up? Blegh.

I hate teh way that 99% of the people in these posts say it but for me it was part of the core of Diablo. I always used to tell people that I loved the game because you can break open a barrel and get the best item in the game. Now that is not true and it makes me sad :(. Also maybe it was a day 1 bug or horrendous luck but literally out of the 10 unique mobs I killed (both rare, quest and event) I think two had 1-2 blues, 3 had a few gold drops and the remaining 5 had 0 items or gold on them. That's annoying because some of them aren't easy to kill, and it depreciates the value of the random events.

posted a message on Attack Speed and Patch 1.0.4, "Confirmed" World First Hardcore Inferno Diablo Kill, 1.0.3 Bug List, Poll
As a monk (feels no pain) I was hurt by the attack speed nerf, luckily my ias was lowered in the past few weeks so I felt it less than I would have a week or two ago. However my one BIG complaint was the double nerf to chests and barrels. I know that people were farming locations and hell I even tried a few...but I got bored because even though Diablo is a loot driven game I can't just do simple run here open chest reset game games. It's not fun imo. But the fact that you first mention MF/GF will not effect chests and destructible objects and then later in the notes state destructible objects will no longer drop items is irritating to me just at a logical level. Why tell me MF doesn't work with barrels if you're going to outright remove all items from the barrels, that was more of a persona irritation on preference. However I feel like some of the charm of the game is lost by this however, I always described the game to people who were unfamiliar with it as a game where you can get the best item in the game by kicking over a barrel. And that no longer stands true :(. I always loved that concept of the game, and even though I guess some people found sweet barrel spots to farm or something, I never heard of any, the removal of MF/GF effecting it should have been enough imo. However, now I feel like things like Resplendant chests need a slight buff to their loot tables. A giant glowing chest doesn't feel the same when i open 6 of them through an act 1 clear and get a total of 1 rare. OH! I forgot there is a second MAJOR gripe that I have that has made a lot of events and stuff useless. Unique mobs no longer garunteed to drop 2 blues...well they currently drop NOTHING, I killed a bunch last night ranging from quest mobs, to event mobs, to rare mobs and the BEST drops I got was 2 blues off one. The majority of them dropped nothing, no items and no gold, some dropped a few piles of gold. If this is the case why do these mobs exist? I know people were farming them in Act 4, but please don't nerf something that is/can be challenging to kill to absolute uselessness because people found a few spots to farm.

god damn that diablo skull is small. i didnt expect anything HUGE but thats like a paper weight!
Better than the SC2 CE that was Jim Raynor's dog tag / USB with SC1 on it. I'll take a finely crafted palm sized Diablo Skull equipped with Black Soulstone, primarily cause it looks sweet.

so did the video melt your brains away?
I was under the impression that it was gonna be like a 3d cinematic rather than a 2d cartoon. I'm feeling a little deflated Still cool though I guess.

if you looked at the info we posted about it, you could tell it was animated.

the info even said animated studio

I read that but I wasn't sure if it meant that they got assistance from a professional grade animation studio when creating whatever cinematic they were making. I'm fine with this because imo it's actually better because it's MORE content and not just another scrap of meat thrown at me from the game to hold me over. This is like a whole NEW meat!

Ah Blizzard you always have the best cinematics when your games come out. Seriously every game they've made has cinematics that are above and beyond anything else on the market. I'd also say that they have better gameplay, but that is more rooted than oppinion/preference that my first statement.

    Reduced Stash Size

totally fine by me, as a developer i totally understand how things work on database queries. :pirate:

Haha it's funny how even though from a player perspective there are things that I may not like. As a developer as well I go "Ah yeah that makes sense." So I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who thinks this way.

Blizzard if you guys actually do read these forums take note that providing a bit of technical reasoning behind some of your decisions doesn't fall on deaf ears and is, in my case, very much appreciated.

Going to be really upset if these delays where just to get that award… probly not but it upsets me thinking that it could happen.

It's not because the game would have won best game of 2011 had it come out 12-31-2011 :). The delays are for important things I'd assume, Blizzard doesn't really mess around with their game releases. People can say what they want, but most people only have this idea of Blizzard as the WoW juggernaut of content patches and expansions. I remember them from the older games and having to wait through countless delays until I finally got the game in hand and it was more incredible than I could have imagined.

I have the beta right now so I get a taste of what to expect. But I feel it's more of a tease than anything else because I'm limited to level 13 and can only play to the Skele King... I can't wait to be doing boss runs (old habits will die hard :D) to get loot!

He actually did potentially spoil a lot. Personally I didn't look at the bosses page because I felt knowing everything about the act bosses would spoil too much for me. However he mentions several characters in the article. I do feel that this could have used spoiler tags. Though I'm open to certain spoilers for the game I'm trying to find a nice balance of finding as much new content as possible while not spoiling the main plot.

I'll assume you meant "not so unoriginal" and simply state sometimes its the simple things that are the best. That and because cramming a bunch of shit into a cube was a real blast amirite?
Lol I was thinking the same thing when I was reading other comments on another site complaining about this and that and about how the cube was easier and free way to upgrade gems... but I also LOVED having to go through my entire inventory to figure out where the hell i put that last flawed diamond to upgrade to a regular... I'm hoping that you can craft from stash later. In the last build I played I'm pretty sure you couldn't but I think that would be a great feature.

EDIT: Also I'm not sure what everyone wants from crafting professions to be *unique*. It's functional... that's what I want from my profession is it to be functional and worthwhile. Or they could have it where the blacksmith crafts you the "husk" of an item and then you have to go temper it with monster X's blood come back and the cool it in the river XX in act XXY... that would be unique. Could also have it work similar to the golems in Ogre Battle where he makes the basic version but to unlock the full potential you need to have this new armor hit with a petrify spell to harden it... or a combination fire/wind spell to make it the super tempered version! Both of these are unique and different but are they good ideas? No, they're overly complicated and make crafting a chore as opposed to "Hey, I spent the last 4 runs salvaging my items now let me craft that new weapon I wanted to get!" *ding done and you may get crappy rolls on your random properties so you're going to have to re craft it. Simple to the point and a splash of randomness to give it that Diablo feeling <3's all around imo.
