It is errie(sp) how quiet its been. I feel as if more people must have been allowed into the FF then i originally thought. It agonizing that they decided last minute to do a ff beta. And seeing people call wizards mages and ask questions that real fans would know the answers too. If they really want a stress test let the people thatll stay on for 12 hours at a time!

I remember reading something about this happening. One of the early witch doctor spells is to summon a horde of exploding frogs, and the higher your level, the more frogs that are summoned. So yeah, it does sound like spell effects do get more powerful. Both visually and in the damage they do. I think the idea is that you are able to use any of the 24 skills, even when you get to inferno. They all increase in power as you level up.

    Sweet thx for the info

I understand and agree with abilities scaling as you get stronger to keep all skills viable.. my question is- are the skills going to evolve visually as you level? if not im sure that, besides the few people that making builds outta early less visual skills for giggles, most people with go with skills that look the coolest aka higher level skills. i dont know maybe they made em all look fappin awesome but its hard to get away from the mindset that the later skills look more powerful... and also if they dont visually evolve with levels or runes or whatever, the removal of skills points might take the sense of progression away a bit. sorry if my post was just me thinking out loud but if anyone shares this concern or knows info on my worries let me know.

Well they made significant AI changes. The mobs dont necessarily attack the closest target. Some interview i saw lead me to believe some mobs would target ranged casters and shooters over melee attackers. So a completley pet dependant build might not be possible

You can have the dogs, the gargantua, the corpse spider and the fetish arm. Add sacrifice and one last spell (Hex? Horrify? Spirirt Walk? Mana regenerating spell like soul harvest ?). Bump all summon friendly passives. If items that give +Attack or +Spell Dmg increase your pet's strength, you have a summon build in the horizon.

I believe he wants an "army"

Personally never cared for the clutter that such massive amount of summons brings, also with how skills work i wouldnt see how to achieve it unless a level 7 rune splits one summon into 3 bringing the amount of dogs to 9 plus gargantuan

They would give the start date for the beta. I cannot stop checking dfans incgamer both battlenet forums in continuous rotation. Hell if they woulda just said sept 30 ok thatd be ok. But this uncertainty is so vexing, i cant imagine im alone in this. This is draining!!

Haha honestly blizzard could legit do a beta+release game package and make a pretty penny not to mention beta+CE release game. Wouldnt happen but there is enough enthralled people lurking the forums. (myself included)

The time lapse between Diablo II and Diablo III is so large that it makes hyping up this game all-too-easy for Blizzard. Now, we're on the verge of Beta. The literal game is just within our grasp. We will begin to divulge, digest, and understand it. We will rip it apart.

But is that such a good thing? A fantasy is always better than the reality, even if it does actually happen, because a fantasy is perfect and left entirely up to the imagination. I rather enjoy the state we're in right now. It makes me feel like a happy, ignorant child. Diablo III is still just a fantasy and that feeling isn't going to last much longer. Soon, it will be real.

?!?! bitter sweet my A$#, i would much prefer reality then fantasy

    Function of that baba

Well looking at leap now I almost wouldn't even call it a mobility, since it seems to be mostly an attack. I mean yes you can jump to a place, but then you stop for a second to smash down, and its just my opinion watching the videos that I won't be trying to leap everywhere when I'm running around, I doubt it will be that much faster then just running.

Its fun and you cam clear obstacles that you cant on foot. As far as the attack mechanic im not totally sure how it works if an enemy isnt in proximity. Regardless i would still regard it a mobility skill maybe not quite as fast as other but still it being instaneous and using different variation of travel. Am i the only one that grasshoppered my way to chaos sanc etc?

I hope so. Being able to jump around as i please being downgraded to only after im done tearing up mobs would suck

Well actually there is a barb passive that makes you gain a small amount of fury after you fight, out of combat, and it keeps gaining, so you could potentially run around with full fury at the start of a fight.

Valid point but id hate to be forced to use that passive to maintain decent mobility
