While I agree that the lack of unique names does come with it own set of problems. The problem that first comes to mind is naming characters the same as Internet celebrities or the like but, with out a persistent world the most you can do is try and fool three people at a time. An easy solution IMO is to have all global posts use your RealID or account name and your character name being more or less flavor text. a filter like that of the stash system seems an easy way around AH searches. I do like the idea of not having unique char names it's hard enough coming up with a decent name in WOW and thats only competing with the few thousand people on a server, I cant imagine the gibberish you'd have to come up with if you were competing with half of north America for a name.
I was hoping someone could point me to some beta streams of the monk tried the link in the OP but playing barb and couldn't find any vid for monk that was of length
Really I think that as long as the color palette is kept more or less the same the monk will look cool. If his gear becomes covered in gold and bright colors thats when you lose me.
