You know that Skyrim doesn't huge amount of the best quality cinematics in gaming industry right?
The fact that I can play Skyrim for well over 300 hours constantly experiencing new content I've never seen and be constantly immersed in extremely well written quests makes this irrelevant. Don't get me wrong good cinematics are nice, and I especially love the D2 ones(I personally thought the d3 opener was extremely stupid and didnt compare to d2's) but while playing Skyrim, there is so much content you just simply don't worry about the lack of cinematics.
While you're enjoying all of this amazing "content" (lol, fetch quests) you never stop to realize that you are just repeating the same exact environments, textures, enemies and weapons throughout the whole game? That's the difference.
In Diablo 3 I guarantee you will see varied, diverse landscapes and there will be hundreds and hundreds of items. Skyrim might have Diablo beat in the random story generated content but that's the ONLY thing it can claim.
