Secondly, most people you see in game are running it clean. It doesn't take a genius to improve your own pathing skills in the game... just an attention span.

Lastly, you are some noob crying because you don't understand enough about the problem to properly comment about it. Case and point? I've seen posts on other forums stating that simply because people run GR75 solo to farm they're automatically botters. One doesn't imply the other. If you want a game that uses addons, refer to the above comment about WoW.

All that said, I don't use THUD, but I'm smart enough to know how it works. Do i think addons could benefit Diablo? To a limited extent, yes. There's a lot of UI changes coming in to close the gaps. In all honestly, I really like where it's headed, but I'd like some sort of advanced stats or even a replay feature. Something to tell me how much damage I do, or show me that I'm not lining things up enough with my LoN bombs, for example.

So... don't just jump the gun because you're not good at the game. Realize your mistakes and improve or you're just setting yourself up for more unnecessary gripes.

Here's why bots matter:

1) The servers are congested as all hell. When you're progressing on high level rifts (something you probably never will do) the game starts to suffer and server performance goes massively downhill. Now remove all the botters and free up the servers and these performance issues start to clear up. Many botters are using resources almost 24 hours a day and since there are so many botters out there it absolutely is impacting the player experience.

2) Undeserved Advantage. Paragon levels do matter. They make both DPS and Surviving much easier as you climb in difficulty. Just a dozen or so Paragon levels can be the difference in Blighter one shotting you or you surviving just long enough to move or pot to survive. It also impacts your capable damage output giving the botter yet another advantage when it comes to pushing the ladder. Any additional Paragon that a player gets that they did not earn is an undeserved advantage.

3) Its unethical and against the ToS. If this is hard for you to understand..... well you're a fuc king moron anyway so I doubt you do. You're cheating plain and simple. There's zero justification. You can't win this argument.

4) It's people like you that burden society. Go vote for Sanders and hope that the socialist communist regime will support you in your quest for doing nothing in life. Good luck with that and i hope you step on a lego.

First of all, to say that botters have no effect on this game truly shows your agenda and loyalty. If a botter gets just ONE grift key... they have helped their account achieve one more grift than a legitimate player. Of course, a bot does not get just one grift key or just one bounty mat. They get several. The effectiveness of botting depends on how long the bot programs run. Of course it's all relative. Add that with the amount of physical time a person plays... it all adds up.

So, what does it have to do with my "overall personal happiness?" Well, although I don't have enough time to keep up with the paragons of people on the leaderboards... I still like to think I can make an imprint. I'm a good player and know what stats to get on my gear and how to play my builds. However, getting that extra 100,000 damage from paragons makes a big difference. So, my happiness comes from having the ability to prove my skill on the leaderboards. Playing this game by doing the same thing over and over isn't fun. It's fairly monotonous. There's no fun in that. It's fun competing with others. That's usually what the point of a game is...

The biggest issue with today's society... Nationally, globally, locally or what-have-you is the fact people have to cheat to feel powerful. Sure, cheating is present everywhere. That doesn't make it acceptable to cheat. It's a problem that a game gets too difficult, people have to result to cheating. In a world where no one can handle (of dare I say congratulate) someone's success, it's sad that they, themselves, feel accomplishment by cheating. There is no pride in doing it. Congratulations. You still suck at the game... and we all know it. It's too bad that there isn't way to highlight a cheater's name on the leaderboards or have a separate "legit" leaderboard.

There are less and less people playing this game. I enjoy the argument of "if botters get banned, then no one will play anymore." Why is that acceptable? That is a loser's mentality. The main reason people lose interest in games is because of cheating. (Of course there are other reasons) The excitement of D3 was because it was a new installment to the series. That came with a fresh start. Sure, the auction house failed, but there were far more players after that playing the game as opposed to now. But HEY, let's let cheaters prosper and lose the interest of the REAL gamers.

wow guys seriously.... i have gone through all the posts and comments so far on this thread and holy shit guys talk a lot of shit to each other... tough guys behind a computer screen LMAO. heres the facts...just let botters bot, if they get banned then O WELL. let people who DONT bot just play the game. who fucking cares who bots? noone cares.. it doesnt affect you at all so let people do WHATEVER the fuck they want and move on instead of just talking shit to each other on a diablo forum O_O. i dont bot and i dont give a flying fuck who bots i just play the fucking game and enjoy smashing GRifts
