Do people not realize the obvious compromises??? Both parties are arguing over completely different things, but if you look you can see that we can obviously make both parties happy.

This thread will be updated, just post and I will add VALID arguments to the tables, yes this is biased, yes this is the PvP discussion. This will be used to strengthen the PvP argument.

    Plaintiff - PvP'ers
    Demands

Customizable Arena options for private matches - Game types (FFA, Teams, 2 v 3, ect) - Changing the time limit - custom respawn times (instant, XX seconds, none) - other options I can't think of right now.

World PvP option (D2 Style) - Allow world PvP as a game option during creation.

Group/Party vs Group/Party - Able to selectively choose if you want to take XXX to the arena/dual/game.

Statistics (toggleable or personal only) - Kills, deaths, highest burst damage, most players killed in a life, ect.

Guild/Clan Flags - Ability to show your guild/clan name on your flag.

    Wishful thinking:

Wagers - A safe way to bet on duels (it is going to happen either way right? Cough Cough RMAH logic).

    Defendant - PvM'ers
    Defense

Balance - Not many are expecting this, actually nobody is except the PvMers useing it as a counter aurgument. - And no you don't need to be inside of an arena for skills to be balanced, even in D2 they had ways of balancing skills on players.

    Ladders - PvM'ers do not want ranks/ladders.

    Esport - PvM'ers don't want an "esport".

Elitism - Don't want to deal with elitism.

posted a message on [PvP] Blizzard neglecting a major part of what made Diablo, Diablo.
Us "PvPers" aren't expecting BALANCE, we want more FREEDOM that was taken away from us (FREEDOM that we had in D2, and no not everyone's experience of PvP consisted of random public games). Since they took away the FREEDOM and tried to control PvP, they need to add certain FEATURES and OPTIONS and CUSTOMIZATION to make it right again. We want to be able to make custom PvP matches, even if that consists of battling it out in "blood moor" instead of a damn arena. The ability to fight as parties vs parties.

Right now pvp is limited to some bullshit 2v2 kill until your run out of lives crap, with no way to directly face another party (your friends) since in battle.net 2.0 social aspects have been removed from the game.

No more iron mans (and other classic fun games)
No more joining a random pub game clearing it out and having fun.
No more guild/friend/clan/random battles of 4v4 in a GM style setting.
No more challenging specific people to duels.
No more killing bots in public games (they will come in time).

Some things that could definitely be added to be an IMPROVEMENT over D2. (Very wishful thinking).
Obviously PvP games that consist of 6-12 people, we don't care if it is too chaotic and you can't tell who everyone is, but let it be an option, let us figure it out, let us make the choice if it is "too chaotic."
Statistics - Stuff like kills - damage, burst damage - most kills in a row stuff would be neat. Public/Private, people who are good can obviously show off, people who are bad just mind their own business, no harm done.

Edit, and for everyone who thinks we are trying to turn the damn game into an "ESPORT" you are full of shit whiners, pretty much every game on the market - even runescape - has better PvP than what is currently incorporated into D3, and don't deflect by telling us to "PLAY A DIFFERENT GAME" for something so fundamentally simple that needs to be in the game.

    December, 2012 Headline:
"Blizzard fights angry PvPers by telling them to go play LoL."

    Quote from SFJake

The problem is they don't support more options. I frankly don't give a shit that you dislike or like this style. The only problem is if its the only option. This is 2011 for god's sakes, they could please a lot of people by just adding some more options.

AMEN, I made a post about this last night, feel free to chime in your opinions.

I made a post for you here: http://www.overclock.net/intel-general/1066371-australian-pc-build.html#post14223270

But for the rest if you idiots (not saying you are all idiots), don't suggest him to go AMD, AMD is currently crap, and is just out dated. The 1100T is easily beatin by a 2500k EVEN IN MULTI THREADED BENCHS. So.. in theory the 2600k is like 2 1100Ts..

Also, please don't suggest that 8GB of RAM is overkill, I mean in most cases it is, EXCEPT in any type of rendering programs, and modeling programs. Trust me, he will use 10GB using MAYA and his other software, and since he is using an SSD he won't be able to have a 10GB pagefile, so he better have enough ram. This build is obviously not going to be your average web browsing PC or gaming machine.

Also, unless he is doing stuff for NASA, you don't HAVE to choose a workstation grade processor, as often those only have 1 use. The difference between workstation vs gaming cards (or to my understanding) is workstation cards strive for accuracy/precision, where as gaming cards strive for speed.
