    Quote from soulzek

PC is much, much better for online experiences. Single player PC games have always been a minority of the PC genre (even as far back as D1, online existed).

But yeah, Wii is good for people who don't play games. I learned that very quickly and sold that piece of garbage off.

I agree that pc is better for online experiences.

The wii is not garbage, it is fun. Especially with a couple friends and a couple drinks. It just isn't an elitists' gaming machine.

I play PC as well as wii. (I play D2, SC, SC2, and have played hundreds of PC games since I was a little kid)

The wii is for anybody who wants to have a little fun, that is all. There is no need to rip on it.

    Interesting news.

I can't help but feeling that we were purposely misled with the death animations.

If it is not in the game, then don't show it in "gamplay footage", or teaser trailers.

That is just a form of lying IMHO.

Additionally I do not belive them when they say they will try to implement these things later. Thanks to the SC2 Clan support not having been implemented yet, even though they claimed it would be implimented soon after release. That was something I considered fairly simple in comparison to these "death animations".

Although I have these criticisms I do NOT want them to release the game early as they seem to be under pressure to do. If they release it, I want it be as good as they claim it will be, even if it takes another year.

Unfortunately this is seeming more and more unlikely.

Blizzard, if you are reading this. Please don't release until your ready, don't stain your reputation because forum goers are pressuring you to release.

We all want this game to be EPIC, let's let it become that way. Let's let it soar beyond our wildest expectations! :D

BBR, please make a more constructive post.

You state that "It is horrible". WIthout stating why.

I personally really enjoyed the game. I never claimed it was the best by any means, but I got a great deal of fun and enjoyment out of it. Especially the Union city version of the last stand.

So please, be a little more specific as to why a game that I enjoy quite a bit is "horrible"

posted a message on The Last Stand (Flash Game)
As we are all waiting for the release of D3, we are all finding different games to play.

I personally played The Last Stand 1, 2, and Union city.

    This is a Zombie-flash Game.

There are currently 3 games out with a 4th one on the way called: The Last stand "Dead Zone".

I have never been excited about a flash game before, but Dead Zone will have "rpg" elements to it.

An example of this is rare/uncommon/common/trash items.

Here is a link to the official website. (Site)

The official site does not have the games I believe, it is more of an update info type of website.

The Last stand games can be found on Armorgames.com.

So, have you played the Last Stand before?

If so, which one is your favorite?

    In my case: Union city> TLS2 > TLS1

    **gimme bookofcain**

This book is basically a compilation of all the canonical lore concerning the Diablo Universe.

Along with drawings and some additional information concerning the mage clan wars.

This makes The Book of Cain the most important piece of Diablo literature.

    Hey,

I just got into minecraft this weekend, and I am enjoying it beyond belief.

Would anybody like to create a Diablo fans dedicated server for Minecraft?

    Please let me know.

I know there are other minecraft threads, but none of them seemed to be about making a Diablo fans minecraft dedicated server.

posted a message on Sin War Books
I am not a big fan of the Sin war books either.

    But,

I do like last part of the 3rd book. You get to know about the Angiris council and such.

Any time that I get to read about prime evils, or archangels in the book is a part I enjoy.

This is because I feel the connection between the book and the game. I can imagine the character and put a face on it.

Also these parts sometimes give you more important lore.

My favorite book so far is Demonsbane. Legacy of blood was also a great read.

P.S: Trying to get my hand on the Book of Cain, and Moon of the spider too!

posted a message on D2, surprise in upcoming patch.
    Quote from Magistrate

I know that they said before and after 1.13c that they had definite plans to continue to support Diablo II with patches, and that after 1.13c launched, they were looking forward to another patch in the future. I seem to recall something about it being a substantial one, but that was a while ago. Bashiok did say 1.14 and not 1.13d, though, so maybe it didn't come yet.

Thanks for clearing it up Magistrate! :D

I hope to see that patch soon! >.<

posted a message on D2, surprise in upcoming patch.
A little while ago. (before patch 1.13d) Blizzard said they would have some sort of surprise in an upcoming patch for "Loyal D2 Fans".

    Does anybody remember this?

What do you think it will be?

Here are my ideas: (I don't want to shoot TOO high with this because I don't think they will do something too drastic)

    1. A sort of D3 related item. (It would drop off some sort of high level boss)
    2. Some sort of extra piece of lore about D3. (Maybe an NPC says something different)

To be honest I have NO idea.

I am sure it will be something kind of cool, but as I said earlier all my other ideas seem too good to be true.

    5/5 Easy
    2/5 Medium
    0/5 Hard

That was much harder than I expected. ( read the first book about a couple months ago, and I am working on the 3rd one now, while reading Archive at the same time :D )

posted a message on Let's Talk Expansions. =)
    Quote from Nightblaze1

So, this is a topic primarily for fun and joy and happiness.

I want to know what you guys would like to see in any expansions of Diablo 3. It could be the first expansion, second expansion, one hundredth expansion or all of them together. =)

    I'll start:

In first expansion of Diablo 3 I would love -

    1. New act (bigger than any previous act)

    2. New class or 2

    3. Seeing as Blizzard want Diablo to be the last boss, it can be that he managed to survive in Act 4, acquires more powers and ends up at the end of Act 5. =)

    4. Increased max level (possibly level 80) with more skills! =)

    5. Additional changes to the first 4 acts; change their aesthetics and story here and there, to make them renewed in a way that would make people really want to play through them again even though it would have probably been done over a hundred times before the next expansion. I want the expansion to bring a real living dynamic feel with it, giving the world of Sanctuary new life in the new act and old ones (change in environments, new monsters, new npcs, new areas, new mini bosses, potentially a new big boss - all in the first 4 acts).

    Your turn. =)

    1. I agree. A new act with a decent size.

    2. I agree with you. 1 new class seems fine. If they only make 2 expansions though, then "perhaps" 2 new classes.

    3. I am not sure how much everybody wants to fight Diablo for 1.5 to 3 years just to get an expansion where they end up fighting him again. Even if he is stronger. It would be a lot more interesting in my opinion if he came back with the very last expansion of the game.

    4. They wanted to reduce the level cap for a reason. People some to be fixated with the idea that we need to have a higher level cap, I am still having problems understanding why. People seem to really be fixated over this.

My guess is that either they won't raise it, or they will just raise it 5 levels. (The old inferno gear will help people through the new act but may be outdated compared to the new hell gear)

    5. A very interesting an innovative idea buddy. I believe that the acts should only have maybe a little area added here and there, along with a quest or two. (To add to lore and interest in the old acts)

This idea will be good if implemented carefully.

    Additionally:

A lot of people want new skills.

Well, I am happy with that, but not if it causes them to break the game balance.

    On the charm system:

Add it only if these charms you pick up or get actually make a difference instead of adding 16 hp at Level 60 or something ridiculous like that. (like in D2)

A lot more I wanted to add to this but there are just too many posts to address them all in a timely manner.

Let me know what you think! :D

    I think it is a worthless topic to discuss, but his abilities are Cleave and Whirlwind (+ a teleport that summons skeletons). From the patch notes;

    - Skeleton King
Whirlwind damage increased from 100% to 300%
Cleave damage increased from 80% to 100%

I agree it isn't the most useful topic.

To be honest I am pretty bored as I am not in Beta, so I just would dream about how epic it could be to fight the SK at different levels of difficulty.

    Thanks for the info though!
