I am in the same position, about to hit Act 3. My biggest problem is I have 5 hours a week to play currently (4 week old kid).

I know I need more STR and Vit but having a hard time finding gear that is in my price range. Currently only have around 200k.

posted a message on Diablofans, what is your profession?!
I am a IT Developer. Currently I do SAS,SQL,Unix, COBOL (*shudder*) for a Bank. Before I wrote ATM software so XML,C++,.NET, alot of Autoit (Process Automation). May move into Java, or web or something.. at a crossroads. I have two kids so work = money not what I want to do =). I also have done some freelance php and made custom plugins for joomla and hacked existing ones to my will. I really enjoy process automation business apps. I know its a weird thing to enjoy (not games =() but something to be said about turning a 2 day manual process into a gui that can be run in 3 hours and requires 2 manual steps vs 30.

Now I just need to find some automation @ my new job =) and convince them to let me do it.

give the guy a break :) this will be lots of peoples first Diablo experience considering the last one came out over ten years ago.
Yeah.... I'm still one of the elitists that get annoyed at how blizzard lets anyone with a battle net account get beta. I really think you should have to have diablo 2 tied to your account for beta access (or at least a preorder). I'm even more annoyed at all the forum noobs that came on this site just to gloat about getting beta (and have < 10 posts).
Because no of posts = being uber pro... right?
If you have Less than 25 posts and you come to this site within the last 3 days and mention that you got beta... get the fuck off this site. You do't ned to salt in our wounds. Alot of us having been checking this site daily... checking the oldtime blizzard.com site daily for diablo 3 news ... yet we don't get in because blizzard lets people that have never played diablo 3 opt in and get randomly selected (diluting the pool for thoe of use that have been truely obsessed with the game). Its 3 seperate factors: 1.) You (not you specifically) never played diablo 1 or 2. 2.) You get beta and suddently you are on here talking about. 3.) All these beta wave noobs are spamming the forum with new threads asking the questions that have been answered repeatedly for the last 3 years.

I have trolled this site for ... too many years to remember, I think atleast 7, but then I could be wrong. Anyways I have played Every Diablo/Warcraft/SC game for too many hours to count, I just dont post much. But yes it hurts me also to see people who have never enjoyed past titles get beta before me. But I shake it off and will wait for the game. I now have two kids so its probably the only game I will buy this year .... damn priorities.

What you also fail to mention is blizzard is tracking all drops for your character on a game basis, although I am uncertain if it is in the same db, it is being stored so when you decided to pick up an item they can control that it is not duped or altered. This is using space/bandwith and servers. Especially once market prices are fairly established having 10,000 gold or sword of doom isnt going to make a large difference. Even if sword of doom goes up to 12,000 gold you still arnt at that large of a loss for selling the item vs having 10 characters full of storage.

    Scyber,

With abilities like bola shot, do they damage you if you are close when they explode? I guess that also applies to other explosion type skills. I haven't seen confirmation of that anywhere. If it does it could limit your usage of some abilities in tight quarters but also leave you with the risk of barricading yourself in a corner and having only a limited subset of abilities at your disposal. Also candle(canlde) was spelt wrong in your post. Besides that great read, hopefully they fix DH as it is the primary class I want to play out of the gate.

Also most people will learn to sell items knowing they can then rebuy the item in the future for a likely similar price, save inventory space and maybe by that item you really want instead of keeping 4 you may use on another character.

posted a message on Any YouTube channel uploading tons of videos of beta?
I imagine Scyber will be posting some videos at some point, I know in the past diablocasts or maybe it was a thread they had mentioned they have a plan/order/list whatever you want to say of coverage done by each of them. Hopefully in the next day or two that information will start to show up, people have jobs, other priorities, and I am sure they are clearing their schedules to get some more information reviews out soon.

posted a message on End Game Idea
    Hey,

I have been following discussions for awhile and have not seen this idea thrown around yet. Maybe others disagree with this appraoch as it is less emersive, but anyways. Similar to what they are adding in the Arena gameplay mode makes me believe they can offer other gameplay modes in future updates/etc. I would think a hold the line style (waves with mini bosses/final boss) would be an interesting element to see in a map (included in the main or as an additional mode unlocked at cap or something, similar to this would be dungeons). In Diablo 2 obviously at end game the same thing is done over and over again, it would be nice to see content unlocked/progressed as you reach cap, similar to end game content of mmos (So you are not just rehashing the same thing through the difficulty modes). Anyways I know they have not released much on it, besides them having ideas on what they want to do. Maybe other people could throw around some ideas or suggestions that they have thought of?
