Do people ever just get excited about things? I guess I am a casual gamer because I totally do not look at features in an analytical way. I look at something and think about how it will add to the immersion, story or my gameplay experience. How frustrating life must be when things that are inherently fun and for leisure become points of contention and unrest in the eyes of those that play the games. What is the point? A lot of it also seems to be contrary for the sake of trying to play devil's advocate every single time something is shown.
From my standpoint I am very much excited to have the followers be added depth to my solo play experience and story of the game.

Download link? I know iTunes is on the way but I don't use iTunes. Even a mediafire upload would be good -

Impressive. That's the sort of thing you pad a résumé with. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I'm not sure how sold we would have been if we had been given the OST for Diablo 1 several years before playing it and expected to derive inspiration or emotion from it beyond it's natural melodies or dissonant tones.

I'm cautiously optimistic but as always we won't know until the 5th... buuuut... speculation is what keeps me going
Anyone else? Yes? No? Maybe?

**edit: looks liek my memory is off somewhat. Seems that the Sin War set is still being held as solid cannon lore. The older novels are being used in bits and pieces. **

Anywhoo...
I'm one of those folks who is very much a story, lore, atmosphere kinda person and I will be shying away from the Beta, fansites and maybe even official pages until after release day. I figure whatever they have in the beta will be fine for most but I can wait a few months longer if that means skipping the beta to preserve the unknowing immersion that first time playthroughs bring :).
Everyone else though... have a blast

The poll ScyberDragon posted asking about what we would like to see covered is a good start. I also like the idea of any spoiler based info from the beta having a disclaimer at the title page/"featured after the jump" type of set up for articles.

Ty.
I am one who is afraid of big spoilers but a disclaimer is probably the best as it gives a clear warning but allows those who are interested in seeing it before release to do so.

If it ends up being anywhere near as full as this I will have to just avoid the beta, fansites and the internet all together until release. Maybe just reduce my twitter follows to the Official D3 page for release date info >_<
Personally having waited 10+ years only to have a beta spoil the game would be a huge letdown.

I was just curious as to what aspects of the game will the Beta unveil before the game is released?
Things like skills and such of course but would it just be a playthough of the campaign or more just balance of limited areas and arenas?
I was not part of the Diablo 2 beta, was that just a playthrough of the entire game or small sections to test skills and such?
I'm just trying to gauge whether or not I should keep my eyes and hands away from the beta when it happens if it's going to spoil the plot.
