To be honest I prefer the model that blizzard has at the moment. It would be disheartening to see a near-perfect figured female Barbarian doing so much damage. Barbarians are incredibly strong and known for their resilient bodies, I just don't believe that a skinny type figure doesn't belong if they wish to sell the Barbarians model.

They could appear strong without being bulky. Also monk female is strong but not bulky. What the hell they did to barb doll I don't know. Somebody in blizz got new girlfriend and decided to make barb in her image ;)
I respect your opinion quite alot, I respect everyones opinion and everyone is entitled to one. Mine is that female Barbarians should look bulky and resilient, because it suits the Barbarian class the most. It just wouldn't make sense for a female Barbarian to have a dashing figure and looks that are as deadly as her fighting style (lol a phrase that is overused these days :P)

For a monk it would be understandable because most of their background (couldn't find the right darn word!) or training (assuming they train) comes from being extremely mentally and spiritually strong which would explain why the female wouldn't be as buff and bulky as a Barbarian would. On the contrary, a Barbarian is based mainly on physical and all out pure strength.

So for me I just can't get my head around a Barbarian, someone that is known for their incredible strength and ability to take on a small army by themselves just wouldn't seem very masculine to have a near-perfect body. Again this is my own opinion so I understand some may think differently and I have the upmost respect for that.

I'm not even sure why we need a thread for this, it's clearly the Barbarian. 'nuff said.

You think barb will be the strongest class? Based off my experience in World of Warcraft melee classes lack mobility. Because of this they have more down-time than a ranged class doing less damage. Also you will have to fight mobs face to face when ranged can kite.

    exactly. someone gets it. +1
So please go on about your arguement about how melee classes in World of Warcraft (assuming that blizzard will for some reason make them similar to the Barbarian and Monk in relation to "lack of mobility") lack mobility.

So certain boss fights can allow ranged DPS to easily surpass melee DPS simply because they can always attack the boss even while avoiding mechanics / adds. In PVP there is a lot of abilities that allow melee classes to catch up to and snare ranged classes but they all have cooldowns. I can't count how many times hunters have kited my rogue and there is nothing I can do about it. Im not bad at PVP or anything there is only so much catching up I can do before everything is on cooldown and I'm stuck getting kited till I die. I have no idea what Diablo 3 PVE or PVP will be like though, my thoughts on what they can do to stop this is buff melee damage and health but then they would be overpowered so I'm not too sure.
I agree completely with what you say about ranged having an advantage over melee when it comes to what you mentioned. But lets leave WoW with WoW, I don't like comparing WoW with Diablo even though the same company made them and maybe Diablo inherited some of the smart ideas from WoW.

I also have no idea what PVE or PVP will be like in Diablo 3 so I guess we'll just have to trust blizzard when it comes to balancing the classes when it comes to this type of thing. Though I do know that the Barbarian has several skills that lower damage taken by a certain percent, not too sure about the monk though. guess we'll have to wait and see.

    I said WoW alot lol

Ah but you see, it is my own personal opinion! what we know opposed to what we wish are very different things!

Also I'm not quite sure what melee class you played in World of Warcraft but the Warrior (assuming that the Warrior is the closest linked to the Barbarian) had some of the most mobility amongst most of the classes.

When I played my Warrior in PvP and Arena closing the gap against ranged classes was one of the most easiest things you could do (Frost Mages were a bit harder). Other melee classes such as Death Knights had Death Grip and silences, as well as their ghoul to stun, Enhance Shamans had Wind Shear and Earth root totem, as well as ghost wolf and Spirit Wolves to stun, in turn allowing them to also close the gap. Last but not least, Rogues, with their ability to Stealth, Cloak of Shadows and Vanish, also allowing them to close the gap while stealth, also with the assistance of crippling poison, and Shadowstep (depending on spec). So please go on about your arguement about how melee classes in World of Warcraft (assuming that blizzard will for some reason make them similar to the Barbarian and Monk in relation to "lack of mobility") lack mobility.

It is true that ranged classes will have a slight advantage over surviving a horde of demons, but then I guess it comes down to how well you know your class and how to use it.

    posted a message on Daggerfall
Now I just began playing this game the other day. I've got to say, I absolutely love it. Morrowind was my first Elder scrolls game and if there were a clock that timed the amount of hours i spent on that game it would definately be in the 400+ hours. obtaining Morrowind not 10 years ago I had no idea what I bought, thought it was just an average RPG. Boy was I wrong!

I've played most of the Elder Scroll games: Arena (computer doesn't like running it :(), Daggerfall (just started), Morrowind, Oblivion, and ofcourse Skyrim. I've loved all of them.

You're probably thinking I'm a massive nerd or geek or whatever. Yes I am, but I do have a very active social life, I have a job, and I do attend University 5 days a week. The best thing about these games is that they are something you're able to put down and come back to when you have free time. There's no "oh I need to play a few more hours to get x item type so I can be ahead or equal with my mates" because every experience can be different.

Back onto Daggerfall! At the moment I have a level 4 Assassin, and I've got to say I absolutely love the combat system! Having to drag the mouse in the direction you wish to swing your weapon rather than move your character in the direction you wish to swing is very innovative!

If any of you have any tips, tricks, hints, advice to enhance my Daggerfall experience please feel free to voice them! Also some personal experiences in any of the Elderscroll games that made you feel awesome please post!

    Thanks, Ducha

I reckon it's good that they don't just give all the diablofans that have been waiting several years a beta. It's great to have an opinion from every gamer type but most importantly casual players may see some bugs that the semi-hardcore and hardcore won't and vise versa

I never said anything about WHY i deserve beta in this thread. Said nothing about me and beta at all in this thread. I just said that dude is a total idiot that doesn't know how to submit a bug report... doesn't bother to search how to submit a bug report... and doesn't fucking know what a bug is.
I wasn't saying you didn't deserve one. So what I said was a bit off topic :P I'm just saying, idiots can find bugs too! even if they didn't know what one was and it hit them in the face.....It is a pain in the arse when people like that get a beta key when they clearly have trouble with the easy things but its just what we've got to put up with I guess

hm, guess i should've read that before posting! apologies if i sounded a bit stubborn. In a way that is useful, but I still don't like how they use companions to do it, maybe they'll think of a way that is totally awesome, which they probably will anyway.
