What you're really gonna have to do is to put most of everything into energy and vitality. Put 5 into strength once in a while to wear a breast plate but that's about it.

Plus, I'm thinking of doing the defensive aura vindicator, or, as the person who wrote up the faq, an angel build. Basically, aside from using vengeance, he uses the resist and salvation auras, so, in theory, you don't have to worry about resists, just get decent DR type gear, which is pretty easy if you're not worried about resists.

Edit: Something I just thought of: Might someone want to be an enchant sorc? I'm pretty sure that high level enchants add massive damage to weapons. The particular guide I saw recommended using a bow as the sorc. I guess it wouldn't be quite the all powerful cl/orb sorc that everyone and their mother has, but it could greatly increase some of the damage of the party.

I've been playing lately. I'm usually on USEast, but I've got a USWest account for the juggernaut game...if that ever goes, as well as a hardcore trap-sin. On East I've got a flaming/summon druid.

Generally what happens with D2 for me is that I get one or two characters up to hell, then get bored and don't come back till after they get deleted. As I never have great gear anywhere, it's not a big loss.

    Like an avenger.

What, pray tell, is an avenger? A zealer seems obvious, a paladin who uses zeal. I've done that before, but what is an avenger?

Also, what is the plan for death? You mentioned we set it so our teammates can loot our body. But do we go back and rush the person who died with a new character? Are they just done until everyone else dies?

If you guys are still looking to do this, I'm in.

Methinks I'd go for a hammerdin or a smite pally, as I haven't played as a paladin in ages (nor ever doing those types). Of course, since I've never done it, I might be needing advice as to what build.

So, I'm new. Not sure what else matters, but I'm here because I am sick and tired of Blizzard's lackluster websitemanship. I'm hoping to actually find current news about D3, where as any Blizzard site will only give me stuff from 3 years ago (like how the SC2 site only has three units under the Zerg side, despite the fact the game COMES OUT IN FIVE DAYS!).

posted a message on The Cosmology of Diablo: Angels and Demons
So, I'm new here, but not to Diablo by any means (I do believe I was around to by D2 and LoD when they were knew, but that was awhile ago). And sorry for the necro post, but it somewhat fits my missive on the Angel of Death issues.

Anyway, I feel you all are taking "Death" as a MORTAL human would (understandable, I doubt any of you are immortal aliens), as in, "shuffle off this mortal coil." Basically, dying is something unavoidable. I very much doubt that either the Angels, or the higher up Demons, would agree. It might be a possibility, but not a necessity of living, like it is for us flesh piles.

Think of it more like this: When you clean up some space, and you find something that doesn't fit, you move it. But if the thing that doesn't fit also doesn't fit have it's place anywhere, you get rid of it. You throw out trash, swat bugs, flush waste, etc. To an Angel, Death might mean the complete erasure of time. Malthael may simply be the Angel in charge of removing things that do not have their place in the Angels idea of Order (well, at least those things that can be removed by a single angel). They felt that humans are/were abominations, and thus should be DESTROYED, as in cease to exist, erased from all of existence.

That would probably make Malthael the Angel of Death, Oblivion, Nothingness, or something else. He could possibly be the opposite of Baal. Instead of wanton destruction, he would govern the excise of unwanted things. The surgeon who removes tumors, if you will. It could also be said that he's the opposite of Mephisto, what with the orderly remove of that which does not fit being about as far from Chaos as you can get.
