posted a message on Spiders, and more spiders
The vipers were a video game version of a snake. Snakes alone aren't very menacing, they can slither around and bite people. When the diablo team implemented snakes into the game they had to think of something to make them more powerful and dangerous so they added arms for extra abilities. People could just put normal snakes in games but snakes just aren't that scary in video games compared to big eight-legged vicious venom spitting spiders, or some minotaur guys.

If hell froze over in d3 diablo would definitely adapt to it becoming a blue ice type amazing beast. I like it the way it is though, and i hope they make hydras good in this one cause they look badass.

posted a message on what will blizzcon bring?
Hopefully they'll give us a description of what all of the runes do + their final naming(if it changes). Probably a detailed description of 5th class, most of the skills, and a good deal of lore behind it. They might release the gold system situation and what you can do with it that makes it matter. They can pretty much go with a full unveil on the game, which includes most of the information we've been guessing at since the games been in development for awhile now i'd assume they've got these things down. Or just go with a partial reveal that gives us the 5th class and just enough to keep us sane but not enough to keep us occupied in the forums.

    Quote from italofoca

In some old interview Wilsom stated there was 5 types of runes and wich one had the following effects:
    1) Adds straight effect to the skill (like add damage to damage spells and defence to defence buff spells). The old power rune.
    2) Increase the area of effect. The old multistrike.
    3) Ease the use of the skill by reducing the energy cost and cooldowns.
    4) Adds a special effect if that skill kills a enemy or a enemey is killed when the skill is actived (for buffs). Old lethality rune.
    5) The wild card mentioned by bashiok. One of the runes are suppose to totally change the skill into another.
(sorry, the source is just to old i can't find it =[)

Based in Bashiok's post i think nothing really changed because he said there was execly 5 types of rune (the same number described by Wilsom). My guess is:

Crisom is the rune 1, indigo is the 2, Alabaster is the 3, Obsidian the 4 and Golden the 5 type.
    These are mine:
    1- amplifies the range/duration of a spell
2- causes spell to confuse enemies(like mind-blast, although there might already be a spell that does that idk)
    3- makes spell heal allies

1- I think amplify range and duration concept already exist inside the runes i've mentioned.
2- I like this suggestion, but i think the effect should be less specific. A rune that adds general status ailments (like stum in some spells, blindness in other, etc..) would be better.
3- I dunno if I prove this or not. MAybe increase the health orb drop rate ?

Thx for your input, i didn't know that stuff. Are you saying that there's only going to be 5 skill runes at release? I suppose that would be alot of diversity but was hoping for more, though they are already doing such a great job i don't think i'd notice.

    posted a message on Runes
Alright, there may have been some rune idea threads before, and if there are any good ones send me a link caus i can't find them, but here comes another one. This thread is for speculation for existing runes(Crimson, Indigo, Obsidian, Golden, and Alabaster) as well as ideas for what other runes you think they might add before release, or even afterward in an expansion or something.

    These are mine:
    1- amplifies the range/duration of a spell
2- causes spell to confuse enemies(like mind-blast, although there might already be a spell that does that idk)
    3- makes spell heal allies

hmm, not exactly sure what the others do other than what they've told us(multi-strike, damage, impact/lethal).

I'm new to the forums so expect to see me here often, go easy on me trolls
