Jun 21, 2010Yeah, but i mean in D1 it was a lot more powerful and gripping. The voice acting was amazing, the lyrics in the tomes were well written and then there was also the highly emotional background music and atmospheric background audio to make it just that more juicy.Posted in: News

Jun 18, 2010leftfoot posted a message on Get Psyched for BlizzCon 2010!I think that post deserves a News Post, especially considering how dry this season has been.. Although there's not much info in it, it still says that a lot of the core features are getting a rehaul which leaves some room for speculation and discussion.Posted in: News

Toggable with a click of a button.
XP mode: 100% xp gained, +0% MF (except of course for items)
MF mode: 50% xp gained, 100% mf xp gained.. can raise MF lvl from 1-99. When in MF mode, you get +1% MF per MF lvl.
It gives people the choice: Do i want to farm my regular lvl faster and get skills etc? Or do i want better loot?
Also gives a little more depth to the game:
Random lvl 99 dude: "Oh well, i finished the game.. O wait, i can still grind my MF lvl and Crafting lvl" -
May 1, 2010leftfoot posted a message on Do You Fear the Grind? One idea for a Morrowind/Oblivion type of skill to grind i got after reading this was that you could maybe Toggle between XP and MF mode..Posted in: News
XP mode would obviously give more XP but it would have worse MF drops..
MF mode would give you less XP but it would increase your MF and you could also gain MF xp, slowly raising your MF lvl from 1-99 or something. Each MF lvl could maybe give +1% more MF.
Haven't really thought this much through and I am also hung over so it's kind of hard to think.. But one thing is very sure, it would give everybody a little more to do with their characters.
Another less thought out idea is related to crafting.. Every time you craft an item you could get Crafting xp, slowly going from lvl 1-99.. The higher the lvl, the better results of items when crafting. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

You have to search for that lvl 7 rune with 40/15 on it now ;] i imagine that will be a pain but rewardful!

One type of endgame could be strange game modes ala Wc3 custom map style such as defending an escort whilst battling streams of demons. The possibilities could be endless.

I already mentioned plenty console games that are almost exactly like Diablo and they work just fine.

Tell me more problems concerning why Diablo 3 couldn't work on consoles and i will try to figure it out.. I'm in brainstorming mode

I can't see how Diablo 3 couldn't work similar to those games.
One issue i see people mentioning is there arent enough buttons for hotkeys..
L1, L2, R1, R3 could work like Shift1, Shift2, Shift3, Shift4 on the PC keyboard which could give you five different sets of X, Square, Circle and Triangle. 5 sets times 4 buttons means 20 hotkeys. And thats not counting the d-pad (arrow buttons).

They are great fun. All the classes are very playable ex. Melee, Ranged, Spellcaster etc.
For example there are:
Ps2/Xbox:
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 2
Champions of Norrath
Champions: Return to arms
Ps3/Xbox360:
Dungeon Hunter: Alliance
Dungeon Siege 3
I recommend checking them out of you have consoles and have a few bucks to spare. (Note, the ps2/xbox games are very enjoyable even though you might think they are outdated, which they are not)
Ps. They are all 2-4 player co-op (depends on game) so it is very good fun with friends.

Edit: Well, it didnt have auto-pick up, it just had auto-sell so you still had to manually pick up the items. But you could set the auto-sell to item tiers. For example; only greys, or Blues and below, green and below, yellow and below etc.

Well, the farmers would most likely bind some items for their farming character(s).
Anyway, I like this idea. The stats from the soulbind could also be randomized like the affixes and prefixes so you will always be hunting for a better item even if you soulbind it which would turn it into an even greater sink.
And if you eventually feel that you would like to get rid of the item you can always transmute it into crafting materials which you could then sell or use.

This is me. I just try to have an open mind about things and form my own opinions. They may or may not be similar to other opinions but i thought about these things for myself and i try not to delibirately associate myself with other groups, well, at least concerning political, philosophical and religious (spiritual) things. Hobbies and interests however are a different thing.
