Deckard are you for real?
I wont even join this disscusion because it wont even matter. Retarded logic will never change and i will not get dragged down with you. Have fun on your ignorant rant. /tatibai..
Herm.
And on topic, what can they really do when they have offline mode? Nothing, nothing at all. Thats one of the reasons i didn't buy the console version. And the fact that the game is worse with just a roll and a different loot table wouldn't change the core problem for me. But whatever. If those guys enjoy playing with those items like some did in d2, let them. Or rather, can't do much about it. Must take away offline mode to make that happend and introduce a ninja ladder.
Bagstone, just IGNORE him lol!
Perhaps the same options on diablo 2, I know there was some exploitation/duping on closed b.net, but the countermeasures resulted in a drastic difference in the number of cheats vs open battle.net. Or maybe they can't do anything, just food for thought.

Killed? They removed the AH MOST LIKELY because the majority of the diablo 3 players already left the game due to the lackluster experience it provided compared to the other two of the franchise. I personally am glad they are going back to it's roots. I just recently bought the Diablo 3 console version despite what I've been warned about, and love playing it locally. I've yet to jump online because i'm not a fan of exploiters. Still, removing the AH is the best thing for this game.
If a huge chunk of the player-base wanted the AH, why would they remove it? I won't believe that it's because of "whining," considering how much data they gather from accounts, they probably did an analysis of accounts created / active accounts, monitored a trend, etc.

Also it was a surprise to me that the scripted death animations like the ones found in the 2008 teaser fight with the siege breaker will not be making it into release. (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/3967589584)

The game was simple enough as it is, anyone who cannot figure out how to play it shouldn't play computer games to begin with. What ever happened chance to hit?? What's wrong with having PLAYERS decide what item is good for their character or not? I don't see anything wrong with gray-area items, and not super-defining items for one class over the other. This makes trading INTERESTING.
Why are you going to get rid of scrolls of identify or cain identifying? This is a symbolic function in the Diablo franchise. With the amount of town traveling you have to do anyway, using cain is not going to cause much inconvenience at all.
The only change I like is changing the stone of recall. I don't even know why you thought of changing the name from town portal to begin with. What's with the design department??
One question, Blizzard: Who the hell are you listening to about these changes? Holy shit!
I'm pretty damn close with cancelling my two collectors editions preorders just like some guy who posted earlier on this thread.

Just found out a few days ago that I may not be able to take military leave to go to blizzcon this year (my first year too!). This is due to a manning issue on a very critical position. My question is, has anyone ever bought tickets and were not able to go due to certain circumstances? What options do I have? I'd at least like to get SOME of my money back. Thanks.

Toning it down will not take away the essence of the character. Diablo 2 never had any physics and the barbarian still felt pretty damn epic with the knockbacks.
And "only the barbarian has lunar skills" isn't a valid argument on why its okay. Your "only" part indicates at least a margin of discrepency, and you accepting it just shows complacency. If you're going to do something, do it right.
