    posted a message on So...Monk

Looks like I'll be stuck in torment 2 again (formerly torment 4). So much for progression.

Heck, I'm not even a heal monk (Out of that list I only use Mantra of Healing) and I'm getting the shaft on this.

posted a message on diablo 2 : harder than diablo 3?

I'd say D2 is harder than 3, if only because of all the bugs and glitches - some of which could be a insta-kill or freeze your game - that game had. Diablo 3 is a cake walk by comparison.

posted a message on anyone else bored/burned out?

Not really. Like Arcstar, I play hardcore, so there's always that to keep me motivated. Aside from that, I'm still fairly new to this game, so I'm not even close to reaching the torment X (playing in torment 1 and 2 right now) stuff. Much more stuff for me to do.

    Crusaders are the worst class?

I don't think they're bad (farthest I leveled one was to 40ish), but having to juggle all the ranges they have can be a pain in the butt. I still think monks make better tanks (maybe barbarians, the jury is still out on them) though. If Blizzard ever gave them a Cyclone Strike-type ability (Provoke sucks) I'd play them more, but until then they're on my backburner.

Group play is that group play. When you run off and leave the group you hurt yourself and the rest of the party. We know you are fast, we know you want to kill elites. However, when you zip off and leave all the mobs behind us slower moving heroes simply can not keep up.

I don't know how many times I have tried to keep up with a twirling barb only to find that the damn barb did not bother to actually clear the mobs. If you wish to dart off on your own, then play a private game.

Not to mention, the buffer for MF is only good if the group sticks with each other.

I've never done any group play in D3 before, but if it's anything like what I went through in WoW, just leave. You've already given him his free ride to the dungeon/rift, as well as any rewards contained therein, so the damage is already done. Trying to keep up is just prolonging the torture.

posted a message on Why should I play?

    1. Hardcore Mode. This is the big one. You'll never ever get this with WoW. It takes your gameplay to a whole new level, since you only get 1 chance ie. you REALLY DO have to L2P. With WoW it's "Uh oh, I died. Gotta run back. /shrug" "Just wipe it guys, we'll try again" "Thx for the carry guys :)" etc. In hardcore there are no second chances. It's do or die.

    2. Less cartooney than WoW. Yes, Diablo is a fantasy game, but then again this game doesn't have Pandaren, Murlocs, Hozen etc either. Nice change of scenery.

    3. More solo-friendly. I don't think there's any part of this game that actually requires a group, unlike WoW, where you pretty much have to run group content in order to progress (legendary quests, better gear etc). A very DIY style game.
