This could also open up a new kind of quest, where you find some caravan being ambushed in the desert that you try to save. If you succeed, you can sell to the merchants, and also buy items from them. Maybe they'll have some really epic gear too.
Blizzard already said that's something they're looking up to, having random quests of the likes.
Blizz's site's been like that since monk's announcement, I've even made a thread on that issue
Guess we'll have to wait... On the meantime I suggest you to download the 12 min gameplay video on this thread: http://www.diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21205 , that is if you haven't already.
Blizz has already said they want more towns on d3 (laking sources right now, but I read it somewhere).
About the home feeling, each act could have something like a capital, where the PvP arena would be held, and etc. I think that would be really great, and to see the landscape changing as you approach a town would really give some immersive feelings.
It would also be great if towns changed quite a bit as you did quests there... Like, you kill a demon blocking a road, and then more travelers appear, together with more merchants. It would be immersive, you'd get more and items and even more quests! Hell yeah!
like youve passed a waypoint a while ago the end of the dungeon isnt in sight, maybe theres a dusty tome on the shelf that opens a portal, or portal shrine.
I believe they have something like that in mind. I also don't really mind having no TPs, but having to run back to the entrance of the dungeon after exploring all of it would surely be a bummer, especially since they said dungeons will now be somewhat huge. So yeah, I think they're working on some kind of tome to teleport you back to the entrance once you reach the end of it.
So, you're act 5 hell difficulty, rich as hell, and some bolts drop that you don't have room for? Yep, town portal back and sell stuff
OMG, selling bolts? lol
But yeah, you got a point... Specially since blizz said that gold is gonna be important now (at least they plan too), so every dime is gonna be important. Wanna see how they'll handle this one.
no no thats wrong there will be a penalty they just had it turned off for the demo and havn't decided what exactly it will be yet - as far as ive seen/read
Will there?
Don't remember on reading anything about it. No idea whatsoever on what it will be?
And for hardcore players, yeah, you're basically screwed. lol
Nope. But if you die, it'll be easier on you, you just respawn a bit close, with no penalty at all and not having to harvest your corpse. At least for now, that is
Yes, TP are oficially gone. About the loot, you must remember that the inventory is now bigger (not exactly bigger, it's just that items are smaller), and I guess we will also have more waypoints. And about selling loot, now we have each item valor on it's info, so we know if each one is worth carrying or not. Anyways, I think blizz will also come up with some other great solutions, like some vendors on the middle of nowhere or something like that.
I don't think there is an actual reason to be complaining about that. Blizzard has already said that drops are gonna be individual, right? So there's no reason for a class to get more drops than other. Sure, the barbarian may get more varied drops, meaning different weapons classes and etc, but other classes will also get varied drops, by multiple stats on weapons. And there's also another thing, blizz might as well create a huge load of class variants, for example Gnarled Staffs, Battle Staffs, and so on, so there are no more weapons available for one class than others. So yeah, I don't see a reason to complain about it.
I don't think they would leave diablo 3 without a ranged class. What I really wanna see is how they'll make arrows seem amazing like the spells and strikes we already have (by amazing I mean flashy, explosive and such).
But back to the topic, are 2h weapons really restricted to witch doctors and wizards or they couldn't wield it just because of stats?
Not all types are restricted, the only ones I know for sure 'till know is that the monk is only able to use some sort of battle staffs and fist weapons. Also, there are the auto-stats, that in some sort of way are weapons restrictions.
The idea on rage might be nice, but I don't think they'll use it, especially since they said that now rage is almost unending if you do at least some considerable damage with every skill used (at least that's what I understood from the Heroes and Monsters panel).
I don't think fury (or rage, whatever) regenerates by potions or droppables, does it? And I don't know about globes, but there are currently no potions for mana. At least mockery didn't see any during the demo.
