They are using the pre-1.04 ilevel droprates of act 3 inferno for act 1-3 inferno in 05, but ilvl wont really matter now because all items dropped on mp1 and higher (any act in inferno) stats will be rolled like a ilvl 63, even if its a ilvl 58, only difference will be the base damage/armor of the item.
Quote from Butchkun
Don't forget we're still far from reaching maximum potential. Even the top geared players in the world are far from it. In fact I haven't even seen one perfect item on diabloprogress yet...
Knowing that the higher stats you have, the bigger the improvement from each new stats you gain, I wouldn't be surprised if a full perfect char could melt those MP10 monsters in seconds.
Granted that's not going to happen anytime soon, if ever, but that's what MP10 is for, a goal to strive for and that's also why the benefits from running MP10 isn't higher, it's never going to be a mode you farm for efficiency.
Exactly, I like it this way and like blizzard already said, they dont want mp10 to be a must like playing in inferno over hell is. -

Been trying my hardest to not get into any speculation threads or spoilers up until now. I do have my own theories, but I absolutely MUST RESIST OPENING THESE ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. The temptation is strong in this one...
dont log in on may 14 if you barely can resist this one -

I know im being nostlagic a bit and what you are saying is true, both games are p2w. There only 1 difference and that difference is HUGE, in diablo 2, it was more than possible to be in the top geared PVP players without spending a cent, in diablo 3, its impossible and even if you manage to do it, no one in their right mind would prefer to keep a PVP character over 2000$ and yes, it cost around 2000$ to be in the top geared PVP players in Diablo 3, while in Diablo 2, you had a 98% perfect character for what, 100$ ? 200$ ? Ofc you could have a 2000$ character, but that character was barely 1.1x stronger than a100$ character and this is highly modified by your skills, gear setup, char levels and builds. Meanwhile in Diablo 3, a 2000$ character is 3x more resistant, faster, stronger, etc. than a 100$ character. The problem is that the items are way too random imo, (because of the auction house, says blizzard) and hopefully that new loot 2.0 can fix the problem. But I would love to see arena and PVP gear.

after the last interview with athene and Josh mosqueira, it doesnt seem like there will be any PvP announcement at blizzcon, or they are keeping something really big for PvPers, I can only hope, again..
However... with the removal of the auction house and the loot 2.0, brawling might be enjoyable if its not pay to win like it is right now.
Diablo 2 PvP was awesome and there was no team deathmatch matchmaking, it was just fair and no pay to win, thats all I ask.

its not like they said they would never release PvP or anything, they promised us PvP, then scrapped it, the first time I ran through all difficulties I had a blast, then I just grinded and grinded and re grinded at every patch to prepare myself for PvP.. just to be let down every single time.

why blizzard why ?
I wonder if they scrapped team deathmatch because it was actually repetitive and not fun or it was too much work of them..
am I the only one who left d3 only because of the lack of PvP

Yeah I just watched it, kinda sad, how can they been possibly ''experimenting'' with PvP since 2011
either he is lying and they didnt work on it at all or they gonna announce something big before the expansion.
if the game is no longer pay to win or there pvp gear on top of that, yes, it would be enough.

Like I said already, its not the same thing at all, brawling in d3 is more than unbalanced, its a lost cause, something that they could fix very very easily by tweaking a few numbers that changes only when in the ''arena''
not only that, but brawling is way too much pay to win, in diablo 2, a 5000$ character was 1.1x better than a 100$ character (lets say same class vs same class for that comparison) while in Diablo 3, a 5000$ character is like 5x stronger than a 100$ character, no matter how well built the 100$ character is or how skilled he is, there is no way he can win, no even once over 100 duels.
While in Diablo 2, I remember owning people with my level 70 fresh barb or leveling to 97 just to get a few more stats to be as good as 99% perfect characters even if I was like 94% perfect, I was still winning 47% of the games, more if I get lucky hehe.
Imagine if in LoL you could pay 2000$ to be 2x stronger than anyone, the game would die within a week leaving only the people who paid that 2000$ fight together, thats exactly what happend with brawling

No matter how much PvP was broken in Diablo 2, its nowhere close to be as broken as D3 brawling, at all.

Judging by how blizzard disappointed me since they said PvP wouldn't be in the initial release of D3, I am not quite sure...
anyway, if its not in, I am not sure I will buy the expac, especially if they dont say a word about PvP
