I live in Seattle, WA, very close to you. I had a similar experience in hs. Brother of my friend committed suicide, shot himself with shotgun to the face. I remembered the whole school mourned with silence. I hope this will never happen to anyone again, including myself. Committing suicide is just very selfish thing to do.
It's all about Diablo III for me. I will not play any other game except for Diablo III, whatever hours I would have used playing something else, will go into Diablo III. I have already warned loved ones in advance that I will be departing from my participation in "life" for a little while when Diablo III comes out. That's what I did for Diablo II also. It was notorious back in my Highschool days with my parents as being, "That game that stole my life away." I can only hope my fiance will be able to handle Diablo III's release. I am also putting together a new box along with the release to make sure I can squeeze as much performance as I can.
I too want a departure of real life when D3 comes out, but I can't yet find courage to tell my gf about it. At best I'm trying to get her involved in D2. She is playing a bit now, but as deep as D2 goes, I get tired of explaining to her what items are good and what quests to do.
I let my girlfriend install Diablo I to have something to play(Since she sucks at TF2, Crysis, and Starcraft). Well I explain to her how to play the game and it's pretty much just clicking. Of course she picked the Rogue, being the only female and she caught on pretty quickly.
Well, once she got to the Butcher, I didn't say anything. I didn't want to ruin the the chance to see her reaction when she opened the door to his room. Well as soon as she opened it, she screamed really fucking loud, panicked and stopped moving. Well needless to say, after about 6 deaths I felt like a dickhead and showed her how to get him stuck on the sairs!
I haven't played Diablo since I was like 13 so I started playing again after watching her have so much fun(She isn't a gamer but she really likes Diablo).
I tried so hard to convince my girl to play d2 with me. She hated gore and she only plays fs (freestyle street bball). I will try to convince her again when d3 comes out.
I played a bonemancer a year back. I was rich back then, had nigma, hoto, a nice necro circlet, etc. My boner did pretty good in hell, had I think ~3800 spear and ~3300 spirit. The boner can single in hell but take very long with 8 players.
One thing I like the boner is, I invested one pt into revive (spent 6 pts to get there i know), but revive was totally fun, i was able to revive 12 Willowwisp (black soul that shoots lightening). I'd teleport which gathers them with me, then they quickly spread out and shoots 12 lightening at once. It looks like portable assasin trap and it's a great killer combo for enemies that had low light resist.
I'd prefer bone wall cuz it looks less messy, in my opinion.
