If it serves some purpose in the game, yes. Seems like it could be cool.

Otherwise, who cares who she is?

Seeing as how we have compelling backstories for the male barbarian, the female wizard, and a blurry anthropological account of the WD, it is only fitting there being some backstory revealing who she is and why she fights. These individual backstories of each character create a vehicle from which to relate game lore, and helps to establish a bond between the player and the class he/she chooses to play.

Otherwise, she becomes bland and uninteresting. (at least for lore enthusiasts)

My exam is this Sunday, so I barely have time to post till thats done.

@PHrozenDragon : yup thats been my favortie place to lurk

@LinkX It is sad soemtimes when you're made aware of peoples' relative low amount of knowledge regarding AIDS. But thats what it's all about - to educate and to inform. You could end up saving someone's life. I was aware of AIDS at a basic level, but my knowledge increased ten-fold after I started working in a HIV/AIDS Non-profit. Interacting with clients broek through any pre-notions. I would recommend anyone to go volunteer with HIV/AIDS causes (only if you're comfortable ofcourse), it can be an eye-opening, and life-altering experience.

To everyone else, thank you for your welcoming words :D

...the forces of evil coalesce, hidden from view. They scheme and plot the fate of humanity from within the shadows. Whispers of terror creep across the land. The wind brings forth screams which dissipate into the night air, but linger on in nightmares. Something wicked stirs once again in the bowels of the old chuch in Tristram....something ancient .. something sinister. I come to you in this late hour, Diablofans, to lend my sword in the fight for Sanctuary. If I fall, my immortal soul will rest easy knowing that I fell while fighting alongside champions of the light."

    Hello!

I am Imposter, lurker extraordinaire. Been coming here for a loooong time. Feels good to surface and participate in the community.

A little bit about myself - I am in the process of starting Graduate School. I wish to study Public Health, and work with issues that surround populations displaced by conflict or natural disasters. I am heavily interested in working with HIV/AIDS awareness as well, especially abroad. I am currently studying for the GRE exam. Accordingly, you might catch me indulging in "unfettered grandiloquence" every now and then. It's my way of enriching my vocabulary .. don't wanna come off as a snooty "pedant." :D

I will confess, I am a Lore Fiend. I love navigating through the nooks and crannies of the Diablo universe, getting caught up in plots, and subplots, and characters, and cultures, religions, architecture, etc. The world is so rich and vibrant. I'm terribly excited with the prospect of the conclusion of the main story arc, and all that will reveal. I look forward to sharing if I find anythiing compelling. You can definately count on seeing a few lore-related threads from me.

On an ending note, I always admired the camaraderie that Diablofans.com created within the community. It is a collective achievement of all members who frequent here. I hope to post in that same spirit.

    See you around!
