Jul 2, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Blizzard Reveals Patch 1.13's DelayerPosted in: NewsQuote from "Seth" »I don't know. That's why I said that they should have implemented something- so that we wouldn't only be limited to dull PvP and such. I mean, it's fun, but a change would be nice. Maybe that'll come with 1.13? Who knows?
I have always been involved in PvP matches, that is really the only thing that I play for. MFing gets really old rather quickly and PvP helps shake things up (and after you have played the game for 9 years, the actual game gets old too, lol). Wow, I guess it was like 5 or 6 years ago, or longer, that my neighbor and I used to compete in tournaments (both 1v1 or 2v2) that were hosted by people on the b.net forums. It was a tiered process, strict rules, class restrictions depending on the tournament, etc. Started with as many poeple who signed up and worked its way down to the final two. Usually the winner walked away with a nice prize. It was very fun to compete. Also, it was nice to see your name as the champion for certain types of tournaments (my neighbor held the barb v barb title for a while) and get called out by many forum-goers who wanted to take a shot at your title...
Hopefully, we will see how the season goes, after a while I am going to try set-up my own PvP tournaments. Like, there will be a certain buy-in (no where near the top prize) if you want to participate and the top 3 players (or the winner only) will take a top prize. Have tournaments with different rules, etc. I think it would be fun for those who enjoy PvP. What do you guys think? -
Jul 2, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Blizzard Reveals Patch 1.13's DelayerPosted in: NewsQuote from "Digital-Storm" »There will not be any information on the beta testing of the patch, simply because it is for MAP MAKERS. Once the MAP MAKERS get there hands on the patch, and start figuring things out, and checking holes, it will happen, but as it is right now, there are not many map makers that know JASS, so it will be a slow process.
Mod Note: I added a quote of the post to which I assume you're responding. Your original post was confusing without the quote, since there are two different games and patches being referenced in this thread.
I am sorry if this post was unclear. I was referencing the WC3 beta patch that is being tested as we speak, since the dev team wont start working on the D2 patch until this patch is finished and the final patch is released. I honestly do not know much about WC3 or the problems they are having with the map editor. I just know that is where the problems are.
Note: I will add a quote to that post to make sure it is not confusing anymore... -

Hey Necronergal!
If you go to this page:
http://www.sideshowtoy.com/listing.php?cat=Diablo%20III
It will have two different statues for sale, the first one is the regular edition that you can still pre-order. The second statue is the Limited Edition one that comes with a removable helmet; these are the ones that have sold out, but you can put your name on a waiting list if someone drops out for any reason (though Im pretty sure the list quite long). Hope this helps answer your question! -
Jul 1, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Blizzard Reveals Patch 1.13's DelayerPosted in: NewsQuote from "Seth" »The reason WCIII got the patch first is, I believe, because of a tournament coming up hosted by Blizzard.
Yea, they were having a Fall tournament for WC3 and I dont think they wanted everyone to get viruses while they were playing, lol...but seriously, lets give some love to D2 now -
Jul 1, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Blizzard Reveals Patch 1.13's DelayerPosted in: NewsQuote from "seth" »The Warcraft III patch is now on the Public Test Realm (PTR) and testing is progressing. Once that patch is released work can shift back to Diablo II and the 1.13 patch, and we'll be working to getting that patch up on its own PTR as soon as possible. This could be a matter of weeks.
I was searching through the WC3 forums and I cant really find anyone giving any valid feedback on this patch, nor can I find very much information regarding this testing phase...I think there was like a page and a half of response to the PTR post on b.net...so, it looks like the WC3 testing phase may take a while to be completed and so we are in for a long wait until our PTR is up and running...disappointing... -
Jul 1, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Diablo 3 "Overthrown" Diorama Available for Pre-order.I for one, believe that $300 is kinda ridiculous for this statue, but it is also not really my thing; however, with that said, I believe that a lot of people have not fully read the specs on this statue...Posted in: News
Quote from "zeroRooter" »Looks nice but i wouldn't spend 299 on plastic
For one, it is not plastic, it is made out of polystone. Secondly, this thing is weighing in at 15 lbs., over 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide. This thing is huge. Plus, each one of this statues are hand painted, etc. Now, with that out of the way, people who enjoy collecting these kinds of things I'm sure wouldnt mind paying $300...I would LOVE to have one, but not for $300...maybe $50, lol -

Quote from "RoBHnK" »I agree with you Seth, is just stupid for them to not tell us why they delayed it...
Btw, does anyone know how to participate in the test realms.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that Blizzard allows you download the Beta patch if you so choose, and then you are able to log into the PTR and test how you please. I am pretty sure this is how they did it for 1.10? It has been waaaay to long since the whole 1.10 debacle...lol, though 1.13 is following in its footsteps with all of these delays and lack of information...but maybe, just maybe, it will contain much needed changes to the game...only time will tell -

Jun 10, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Patch 1.13- The Progress Update We Never Got?Haha, I would have beat you to it if I could have made a thread :D, but I did reply to the other onePosted in: News
However, this announcement is quite a disappointment...how hard would it have been to say the patch has been delayed due to other circumstances beyond our control back in May? And his response is classic, "not really" and "it is nearing"...sometime in the future I suppose....
Well, everyone grab a drink and sit back until July when we will get the next update about the patch progress... -
Jun 10, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Patch 1.13: Larger Inventory for Diablo IIPosted in: NewsQuote from "Seth" »My guess would be that they want to see if players can easily exploit the same bugs and stuff before officially releasing the patch on all realms.
Yea, they would mostly be looking for major bugs/crashes due to the updating in the code...because any other exploits, the players would mostly keep their mouths shut about it....
Whatever they do, they better hurry up, this is just getting to be ridiculous...honestly, I would be happy with a "patch failed, we stopped working on it, but the reset will be in a week" lol, I just want a response from someone...
And I get my answer shortly after...this is what Bashiok had to say after almost a month of saying nothing regarding the patch...Someone asked if he had any more details regarding the patch:
"Not really. Work on the patch was put on hold for a while due to higher priority issues, but it commences, and it is nearing. "
WOW! THANKS!....not...but I guess it is something... -

Yea, it really doesnt matter to me, but really I dont see what blizzard is going to gain from a test realm besides everyone crying that hammerdins got nerfed and other balancing issues that some people wont like...I just dont see it being a necessity, but we will see...I just want to freaking play... -
Jun 10, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Diablo III Bestiary Update- Return of the Fallen!I am just surprised that Bashiok has time to reply to people in the D3 forums regarding the hair styles of the fallen (even coming up with his own lore as to why the pony tail is gone), but yet cannot take 5 secs to say a few words on the patch...Posted in: News
But on a side note, I really like the new fallen! The lunatic is my favorite! -
Jun 10, 2009Lethal_Weapon posted a message on Patch 1.13: Larger Inventory for Diablo IIWell the past two resets have been in June...Posted in: News
June 9th 2008 - Reset announced to take place on June 17th (which it did)
June 20th 2007 - Reset announced to take place on June 25th (which it did)
So I am hoping that it will follow the past two years and they will reset it before the end of June, I havent played in 3 years and wanted to start playing again in March, but decided to wait until the reset...
Hopefully they decided against the test realm and they are doing everything themselves (which is why it is taking so long) and they will announce the reset and patch release soon...fingers crossed...

Hmm, it doesnt does it...interesting, it should!
20 - Cyclone Armor
20 - Twister
20 - Tornado (Main attack skill, unbloackable physical dmg)
20 - Hurricane (Cold Dmg)
20 - Oak Sage (max last)
And yes, definitely would be a wep/shield (Heart of the Oak and Stormshiled/Sanctuary/Etc.)

O, ok, I got what you are saying now. Well, there are plenty of threads in here about starting a leveling group after the reset, along with some clans if you are interested in that. So, its just a matter of what you are looking for
0
Well, Concentration is the only one that benefits Blessed Hammer (and only a percentage of actual shown +dmg% I believe), whether that was intended or not is unknown, but like the guy above, if you put one point fana, you can use that and smite against ubers...

Well we were damn close, LOL

Yea, it definitely changes a few things around with the respec system. Overall, I am happy with the patch...however, I was practically on my knees begging for them to change the DClone spawn in 1.13c, though it doesnt look like that is going to happen...

Yea, I was planning on that until I realized that the Wednesday after the reset is payroll closing, and if I dont come in, no one at my office gets paid (including myself I might add), so yea...

I am completely confused...lol

I really was hoping that they were going to change the DClone spawn with 1.13c, but judging by Bashiok's post, it doesnt look like it is going to happen

Just my two cents to help!
I am always looking for ways to help around here!
Btw, was the calculator ever updated with the 1.13b changes to skills or are we just going to wait for the final release of the patch and release the final 1.13 calculator to save the trouble of updating it twice in case things change again?

Basically any items that are used to spawn DClone are going to be exploited by dupers since any item can be duped, with that being said, no matter how rare an item is, once it is found, it can be duped from then on out...
Yea, there are "DClone bots" but you must have the "hot" IP in order to use it. Once you know what the hot IP is, you just program a bot to create games until it gets in a game with the hot IP. Or you could just search manually by typing netstat in cmd. Either way, it is exploitable.
So, if it were random, on certain servers or all servers, no one would know when, the IP, or anything, so it is pure chance and it cannot be exploited. But, it takes the power away from the player and you just have to hope you are on the right server at the right time. Then, it adds the question of how many times a week? how many servers at a time?
Just some more food for thought...
