Sorry I rarely check diablofans anymore, Season 6 kind of killed my enjoyment of the game with the Firebug issues and all.

Anyhow, I just checked all the links in Chrome and Firefox and they appear to work for me, could you post specifically what Guide you're trying to look at and what browser you are using? That way I can refer it to a mod if it's something I can't fix by editing, thanks!

I've jumped onto the PTR and had a quick look at the 'RNG'/luck related Set Dungeons like the Demon Hunter Marauder Dungeon and the Witch Doctor Jade Harvester Dungeon and it looks a great deal better in terms of being able to clear these without randomly failing objectives by getting hit by a rockworm or just having to wait for invisible deceivers for 5+ seconds.

The main thing that has me interested is the fact that the majority of the Set Dungeons were designed around the Patch 2.4 'power levels' and set item bonuses. Going forwards to Patch 2.4.1 and onwards, there are already minor changes to set item bonuses, additional items to compliment the sets, and power increases to the majority of the sets which can greatly affect how a Set Dungeon is played. The fact that the majority of the Set Dungeons don't require increased damage above what is already provided by the sets currently (at Patch 2.4) helps reduce the amount of balancing of the Set Dungeons to a minimum, but it will be interesting to see what Blizzard do moving forwards.

The one thing I don't like about knock up/knock back effects is that you can't pull monsters in with things like ground stomp while monsters are in the air. But it's great you cleared it, sometimes a different playstyle suits people better!

Judging from the New PTR patch notes, it seems like they are fixing the most glaring issues with the Set Dungeons which is great, but I'll leave my final judgment on them until the new patch goes live and update the guides then.

Natalyas should be very simple if you follow the build guide, just make sure you do a snake up and down and slowly make your way left, at least got it done it seems! :)

As for Marauders, unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how the AI works, it is just 100% random when the rockworms pop up. I just happened to have a randomly good run for mine where they didn't pop up right under me. If you're really struggling with it, all I can suggest is getting someone to help you out.

No, if you're referring to actually farming the Set items required to access the Set Dungeons and complete them, you have the farm the items normally. The items themselves only drop from monsters in games that have a Difficulty set to Torment 1 or above, or from Greater Rifts/Blood Shard spending at Kadala.

There's no specific way of getting Set items faster other than to play with characters of the same class in your party, who might drop the items for you if they don't need it.

Yes it's certainly an option to do these in a party as I've mentioned in the initial post, but the way you approach some of the Set Dungeons will be different. The builds listed are based off Solo Set Dungeon Masteries, so I can't give much advice on doing them with someone helping you.

Glad to know the builds have helped!

Everyone's experiences are different with these Set Dungeons so it's interesting to see which ones people have struggled on and what tweaks they have made in order to get their Set Dungeon Masteries :)

If you are sure that you are getting random fails even though you complete an objective on time (eg. Raiment Set Dungeon reach chest objective) then it's probably best to contact Blizzard support and get them to check it out, or make a video listing your skills/items/set dungeon run so others can have a look to see what might be going on.

No problems at all, it's one of the things you don't realise when you first start playing Diablo 3, whether you're on PC or console! I just did a quick Google and it seemed to confirm that 'Elective Mode' is available on console, so you should be able to locate it in the game options!

From the main Set Dungeons Thread:

    • For players who are unable to select certain skills for their slots, you will need to enable 'Elective Mode' by going to the Game Menu (pressing Escape), clicking the Options tab, clicking the Gameplay tab, then under 'Interface' you need to tick the 'Elective Mode' option. This allows you to pick any and all skills (with some special exceptions) for your Left Click, Right Click, and Slots 1-4.

I've had a look at your gear and it's quite good for a Paragon level 102! That being said you are missing at least two or three key defensive pieces. At the least I'd try to get an Aquila Cuirass armour in Kanai's Cube and a Belt of the Trove belt. These will each provide 50% damage reduction and will help a great deal especially at very low paragon levels since you can't put many points into Resist All/Armour. Another good defensive option is the Justice Lantern ring, which gives damage reduction based on your block chance.

It sounds like you simply have slightly too low paragon levels as well, especially in the Defensive tab. If damage isn't a problem, follow these extra tips from the Invoker build guide notes itself: use Akarat's Champion - Prophet rune instead of Provoke, change Lord Commander passive to something more defensive, perhaps even wear a Mutilation Guard (if you have one at a decent level).

Youtellatale52, Set Dungeons are only accessible if you have the corresponding 6 piece Set bonus equipped. What Cyberdoc is referring to is a PC only method to get a single 6 piece set by playing a Seasonal character, which is not available on consoles.

Being a loot drop based game, the way to get a 6 piece Set bonus is to simply farm them the old fashioned way by killing monsters. Most of the Set Items only drop once you are Level 70 (with the exception of certain Legacy Diablo 3 sets which are available at Level 60+), and I believe the Set Items do not drop at all unless you play in Torment I difficulty or higher (you could gamble Blood shards at Kadala otherwise at lower difficulties I guess).

Just to add to what Cyberdoc has already mentioned regarding the Moratorium gem, I believe this to be caused by the fact that a Green Portal which leave the Set Dungeon instance appears as soon as you take fatal damage, so if you enter this portal it takes you back to the 'Normal game' where Hardcore death rules apply normally but Moratorium still has damage 'staggered' which it will still deal to you over time and kill you, since your HP will still be close to 0 when you use the Green Portal and re-enter the normal game world. I'll update my Set Dungeon guide with this as well.

Unfortunately the main problem with what you're trying to explain with the way you completed the Set Dungeons is that this thread is not designed for people who play this game extensively like you and me and who can figure out various ways of completing the Set Dungeons. If you are able to do so then you have no need for guides and assistance, which is basically how I've attempted every single dungeon myself, but your opinions on what you felt were difficult dungeons are duly noted. The simple fact is that the majority of the people who attempt Set Dungeons WILL have problems with a lot of these dungeons, because they simply don't know skills/items/mechanics exist no matter how many times they attempt the Set Dungeons, and this is who the target audience is.

My guides provide people an OPTION for clearing the Set Dungeons with items they should look for, and I update the guides to make the Set Dungeons EASIER to complete solo, not HARDER. If you want to make your own guides explaining how you've completed these Set Dungeons with the bare minimum gear required, feel free to do so and link them here!

I'll just reiterate once more that the rankings are purely MY opinion, which is based off a combination of how hard I found them to be and how I felt an average player with basic knowledge of the class would find them to be. You've attempted the Set Dungeons in your own particular way and that's cool, I did a bunch on both Seasonal Softcore and Hardcore so I know its definitely possible to do a lot of these with minimal paragons gear.

You also need to understand that the reason a lot of people are having issues with sets like Firebirds and Jade Harvester is simply that they are the Starter Set you get from Haedrig's Gifts. As a result, even casual players who know very little about the game will be attempting the starter Set Dungeon (there have been quite a few people who have asked me about Elective Mode). As long as you accept the fact that your rankings are not the be all and end all of rankings and that inevitably people will find things harder than others, lets leave it at that.

Basically what 'rhaepso' has said (many thanks for your reply).

LaplaceNoMa, if you had just said that 'based on your experiences' such and such dungeon was easy etc, I would've have been MORE than happy to take your comments into consideration but instead you have basically said, 'MY WAY IS THE ONLY WAY THAT THESE SET DUNGEONS SHOULD BE RANKED SO THEREFORE YOUR RANKINGS ARE WRONG'. Even though later on you basically contradict yourself by saying "Don't trust people who tell you otherwise".

My build guides are not based on having the bare minimum 5 or 6 pieces of the Set Gear, go and do the Set Dungeon and see how it goes. I have NEVER mentioned anywhere in these build guides are the only ways of clearing these Set Dungeons, and my rankings CLEARLY state that they based on my own experiences and that your own attempts may vary.

As you can tell from the videos, they were basically just my clears at the time, the build guides have evolved and been updated as I've played the game more and had input from users, rarely have I gone back and updated the videos for the sake of it.

Based on comments in this thread and in the build guides themselves, many more people have had problems clearing the Jade Harvester Set Dungeon than they have something like Akkhans. I cleared Akkhans (with a crazy thorns build) and Ulianas within 5-8 tries, I played and pushed a Vyr's Wizard last season so I cleared this in 2 attempts with a legacy Fazula's Chain, whereas I spent hours on the Wastes and Jade Set Dungeons.

Everyone's gearing is different and their RNG will be different not to mention their particular familiarity with the class/set/mechanics, and just about the only thing I'm going to accept from your comments is that you can basically do these Set Dungeons anyway you want to. My build guides are just there as an example for people who want to find out which gear they should look for and what skills they could use. If you don't want to use them, by all means do it your own way, no one is stopping you from learning the game yourself!

Unfortunately the rockworm spawns in the Marauders Set Dungeon appear to be random, unlikely the Tal Rashas Set Dungeon, so you can't predict where they will come out from. But you're correct, you just have to be constantly on the move/vaulting, you can't stand in one spot for too long in the Marauders Set Dungeon.

I meant absolutely no offense by my reply, I was merely pointing out Bliizard's particular wording on certain objectives and then providing my input on the wording and my thoughts on how it applied, so my apologies if you were offended in any way. I give full credit for any and all input that is provided to help update the build guides, and based on what you've described, the Shadow Set Dungeon chain objective is possibly bugged if the chain breaks when Impales ricochets the Elites but not any of the other monsters. I'll add a note into the build guide for this.

It still goes back to the point I'm trying to get across, which is to avoid using the Ricochet and Overpenetration runes, which then solves this problem anyway and is what I still recommend people to do for the Shadows Set Dungeon.
