It's a gift to be able to write that. I can see you writing it with a straight face, even though I know you didn't. -
Mar 8, 2010Shatterer posted a message on The Lighter Side - Hardcore GamersHow do you come up with that stuff? I mean, when I saw such a lengthy article about one blue post I was really curious. But that was genius.Posted in: News
Also, I thank you for the most brilliant mental image ever. Playing hardcore whilst looking like Leonidas... The comment about the cereal box being inside out was really the icing on the delicious cake -

I agree when I put something a rune in a skill or a gem in a item I want it increase not negative...
Huh, I thought you had a chance of completely screwing up the item in Torchlight.
Ah well, we both agree that you should at least get some reward for investing your precious items in crafting. -
Feb 20, 2010Shatterer posted a message on Crafting in Diablo IIIThanks to your post I've downloaded and installed PlugY. Now I've looked at it, I can't remember how I could ever play without it. Thank you for that.Posted in: News
Now I should look into other mods as well. How does ES interact with PlugY?
Also, how does LAN play work with PlugY? As long as both players have the same versions of the mod, it should probably work, right? -
Feb 20, 2010Shatterer posted a message on Crafting in Diablo IIIThat would be very useful. Most of my characters (read: all of them) have their stash filled to the brim with gems, runes and jewels. Having 'storage boxes' like stockers will be very useful.Posted in: News

Feb 20, 2010Shatterer posted a message on Crafting in Diablo IIIPosted in: NewsQuote from "maka" »@Shatterer: yeah, the stash was WAAAAAY too small. i hope they go the 'Eastern Sun' way: stockers! best thing since sliced bread.
Hmm, what is this stockers that you speak of?
Quote from "luc1027" »Fail ok, but item break no !!
What would happen when it fails? Nothing, or you lose all current enchantments (a la Torchlight)
I can live with the first one, but losing anything is not something I like. When I put my resources into a crafting system I'd like it to have progress. Or, at least, no negative effects. -
Feb 20, 2010Shatterer posted a message on Music of Diablo IIII remember D1 as being more demonic/schizofrenic/painful, but D2 feels more ambient. That corresponds to the entire game since D1 is darker with its dungeon crawling adventure, yet D2 takes us to all these new settings where the music should make us feel at home there.Posted in: News
D1's music doesn't feel at home in D2 due to the nature of both games. From what we've seen of D3 we're going along the same line as D2 did, so we should find D3's soundtrack to be near to D2. -
Feb 20, 2010Shatterer posted a message on Crafting in Diablo IIII just hope that the new system won't have a chance to fail, causing you to lose your item. I hate systems where that happens.Posted in: News
LoD's system was fun, yet costly. I didn't mind it, except that the stash often was too small to carry all that crafting stuff with you. (gems, runes, jewels) -

I do prefer a girl with proper language skills. It's pretty funny yet awesome when you get a text message correcting a typo.

Never liked it myself and I somehow pride myself in never having used it once. Sometimes I thought the smiley would be appropriate, but then I realised that it just looks pretty stupid and discarded that thought.
And what's the relation between punctuation and teh ladiez?

I don't know if I've mentioned my funniest quote yet. It's isn't really a quote, but more of a single word that just gave a good on my face: "Now just waddle on down to the elevator..." There are other parts which make me laugh more, but this one feels different. It's such a little comment, but it's both demeaning and funny (both because 'waddle' sounds funny and the mental image) which makes GLaDOS feel a bit more alive.

So yeah, I'm looking forward to play it but I'm not thinking about it.

And then there was the ending. I saw the moon, thought back to the achievement's name (Luna is moon in some language; latin I'd guess) and thought to myself "no freaking way". I finished the game in nigh disbelieve that something that ludicrous was actually the solution.
Currently I've got this odd bug. Haven't looked in the steam forums yet for similar problems, but I can't seem to complete the co-op campaing. I played course 5 with one person, but when we reached chamber 5-5 it was getting time to stop. A day or two later I wanted to finish the game with another person, so we started at 5-5. Played the game, finished all chambers, but I didn't get the achievement. When I go back to the hub I see that 5-5 isn't completed. I replayed it from 5-4 with the second person to no avail.
I haven't had the time to play with person 1 yet. Perhaps that might solve the problem...
EDIT:
Moss? Seriously? That would be so awesome! Current voice actor does a good job as well of conveying the well-meant but in the end annoying stupidity that is Wheatley.

I think the poll is about how old you are NOW, not when you first played D2.

Luckily I don't have a lot of stupid updates from other people. And if there are I promptly forget about them (or skip them).

Also, federal regulations require me to warn you that the firebats skill... is looking pretty good.

I like the first one at least.
Although it's more applicable to examinations...

BTW, Daemaro. Did you just say that you can host local games? I don't know how Battle.Net 2 works, but if that's true then I don't know why no LAN would be a big problem. Sure, you can't all play with the same game, but apart from that it's just normal LAN.
And Aedric, are you saying that all future games will probably have the 'always online' DRM? What would happen if the servers are down (look at PSN)?

Dear god, you're already cool because you made me quote the Beatles!

Still, it's an incredibly amusing game. The music, settings and humour are excellent. Less freedom than its predecessor but the puzzles are of a different nature as well so you can't really compare them.
I actually find it funny how different yet similar both games are.
