I mean you couldn't use the warrier to be a spellcaster (unless you hacked) cause he casted so damn slow, etc.
If you don't play all the game classes at least once i think you're missing some valuable game play. It can be challenging and fun to play a class you're not used to.
For me it's the Zon in D2... but every class they put in D3 will get played at least once by myself.
Gotta keep tanking him with the Act2 merc. Just give him some rocking armour, a helm to add to life and a bitchin' polearm weapon so he can dish it out.
Magic is awesome anyway, as long as their is one class devoted to unleashing ridiculous spells then i don't care what you call it.
I'm also glad they stepped away from focusing on elemental magic, which is ifne, but there's SO much that can be done just because it's "magic". You can invent pretty much anything and put whatever pro's and con's along with it.
I hope the Barb gets this skill:
Rupture - the Barb swings his weapon (like in Cleave) striking nearby enemies with such force that their bodies become ruptured, and bleed whenever they move. Deals damage based on distance that the monsters travel.
So the Barb could charge into a group of monsters, Rupture a couple of times, then leap out, and watch all the monster die as they try to come at him, lol.
Pro - good damage, Con - bad on zombies and other slow moving creatures
sounds kinda like Open Wounds. Which would be great if weapons or Barb skills had that regardless, considering it's always a chance anyway. Hitting something in the leg or neck and it's not "dead" but bleeding uncontrollably so it might as well be.
I like the idea of the Barb being more combat, less magic. Even in teh gameplay video they make a point of saying the barbarian uses brute strength to overcome his enemies.
not the quest itself, the after effect of the quest
you know what i mean; maybe that was a bad example
Tainted Sun in Act II: the whole screen goes almost pitch black except your light radius and explosions/magic effects and then when you break open the Alter fo eth Sun it goes back to normal
I am afraid of how you can access your character if its a LAN. From what I've seen from D2, you have a BNET character and a single player character. The BNET character can only be accessed from a secure bnet account. How would that work with a LAN? Will it be a different character like the previous version?
In D2 your LAN character was different from bnet, just like single player. Which wouldn't bother me if that's how they did it again. I'm also hoping they keep LAN functionality because of things like lag on bnet, and good ol' fashion LAN parties.

They're my favourite merc

Would like to see Ranger-like class though

D1 you almost had to, because the classes were so violently different.
Depending on what other classes are next, I'll probabaly start with Barb just for familiarities sake...and bone-crunching awesomeness.

Make him proficient with ranged weapons and swords (or daggers) and make the three skill trees:
Tracking and Nature
Combat Focus
Passive and Stealth
Obviously these names for skill trees don't do further ideas justice...

Which is awesome, but i don't want Mortal Kombat coming close to Diablo

I don't think they would necessarily call it Samuri, just like calling the class "barbarian" rather than "Viking"

Of course through the Act cutscene they can include some kind of foreshadowing as to what the boss and their lair will look like

Gotta have cool shit like that

I hope they keep the "suffering" bodies that we saw in Act IV; the burning bodies and tortured souls and stuff. Same idea i guess.

D2 Hate: It looks too much like a f*cking cartoon, it isn't as "scary" lookingas D1
D3 Love: Back to that "scary" look, graphics are sweet
D3 Hate: Walking over potions (wtf?) and (so far) the inventory screen
