I can't!! that's the problem. ever since the new forums went up it wont let me post... so frustrating...

anyways d3 devs need to hear some creative skill ideas, because imo the majority of the wiz skills needed to be more original. though the time bubble is awesome!

'quality over quantity' should be the motto with skills i believe. i hope some skills have only a few rune combinations, because i can't imagine having 7 distinct and interesting variations for each skill. having said that the rune system was an incredibly good idea. i just wish they did not recycle so many old d2 skills...

this is an excellent idea. go post it in B.net forums though, because it will never get noticed here.

    5) is actually a very interesting idea imo. i can think of a few possible variations as well.

the wall allows only a one way movement, (any angle from one side, no angles from the other)
the wall slows anything that passes through it, briefly(as the wall is thin)

these and/or the original suggestion can make for very interesting in game and pvp tactics. a ranged attacker would make great use of these, but perhaps a cunning melee player can manipulate his opponent to trap himself in his own maze...

this is a good original idea, you should go post it in the b.net forums so bashoik can see it, because many of the skills weve seen so far are just recycled from d2.. and thats a bit tame in my opinion.. some recycling is good, but not too much.

awesome. best idea I've ever heard. only I wouldn't like that list in which people could see it. if you know that there is a monster like that, it takes away the fun. like the cow level...

i was intending the list to be on some kind of character profile, which has a page with statistics one of which would be monster slain count/monster type. If you have never killed such a monster it would not be on your list simply. so till you open some player profile and see a list with a strange 'red' (or some other distinct color) name you would not know of this special monsters existence. so no one will know about this for a while at first...

if you like this idea then maybe you can help me get this idea to the b.net forums where apparently Bashiok reads every thread..
i have a problem both on mozila and IE7 where i can not get past the anti-spam page before posting, i always get redirected to it, no matter what DOB i enter... any1 know whats up with this? its so frustrating.

posted a message on Help, problem posting in new b.net forums
ok this may seem a bit unrelated, but i have no where else to post this... it won't let me post in the new b.net forums.. i thought maybe some1 here can help me solve this problem.

Before posting in the new b.net forums, a page comes up outlining policies and asking you to enter your DOB, (this is to stop the spammers) every time i enter a DOB and press accept it redirects me to the same page.. does any1 know why this is happening?
i have a suspicion it is a very simple problem to do with some settings or something.. i tried posting with Mozilla and IE7, both failed.

i admit that the quality of posters here is MUCH better then the infantiles in the b.net forums.. but i want to be able to post my suggestions where a b.net employee will see them... which is much more likely on the b.net forums i think.

these side quests are not directly given to you, but you have a chance to encounter them, a type of random scripted event. the biggest benefit is that this makes casual play more interesting, as you have a small chance to stumble upon a lucrative side quest. here's one example:

    Legendary Beasts:
in area specific parts of the game you have a small % chance to encounter a very powerful and rare monster, of custom graphics/abilities. If you see one, you get a special quest icon pop up in the bottom-left corner of your screen. If you manage to kill it you will likely get a good drop or reward. in addition a page with all special monsters slayed will now have the name of this rare monster in it, (like a collectors list) and other people will be able to check your profile and see you have been lucky enough to find this special monster. there can be several such monster with varying rarity, some extremely rare.
a nice bonus is that these monsters can be tied into the lore, where you can hear 'vague tales' about them from books/npcs throughout the game. Now if you can only encounter them in hell difficulty and if they are quite rare, then they will be quite hyped up by the time you ever meet one. It can provide a similar (yet its own distinct) feel to seeing an awsome unique item drop. they can now also serve as an endgame goal, something to lookforward to after you've done everything else.. it also makes grinding more rewarding, with the potential to find such a special quest.

this idea is really just a combination of two successful diablo themes/peices: quests+'rare finds' it can be implemented in several different flavors, my legendary monsters idea is one such type. i think if implemented correctly it can turn out to be quite entertaining. what do you people think?

i like these ideas from OP.

#4. How about you are investigating some secret underground wizard's lair filled with magical traps, and one of them teleports you into some kind of magical prison...and in order to get out, you have to somehow outsmart the magician.

#8. A level that is filled with tons of giant crystals that are super reflective, so much so that it actually confuses the player and makes it difficult to figure out where the monsters are

#9. A level containing weird bursts of magic that come out of the ground, which imbue some random temporary magical powers upon whoever steps through them. Could happen on random monsters or to yourself. You could use them strategically.

4 reminds me of arcane sanctuary. cool area imo. D3 needs something similar, but new.
8+9 are interesting, and can be combined into a crystal cave area that is imbued with some ancient magic..
