I dont understand how anyone can think that the few trailers we have seen are cinematics at all...
They are simply displays of ingame graphics rendered at a different view to show some basic gameplay.
The only cinematic we have seen thus far is the initial trailer from WWI, and to say that that is a bad cinematic is amaaaaazing to me. That is such a cool cinematic and all it is is a compilation of really short pieces of already completed cinematics.
So in short, the trailers that everyone keeps complaining about are up to par with D2 cinematics, as far as graphics go and not as far as polish. If that is the case, we can expect D3 to have some of the best cinematics seen so far in most any franchise.
D3 is going to outshine D2 is every aspect, the only thing that wont be outshined is the amount of modification and bugging problems in D2, there wont be nearly as many in D3, sorry hackboys.
"God thats depressing. Not you guys. But I'm probably going to be 21 or something when Diablo 3 comes out"
You think that sucks? I played D1 on playstation in 4th grade, played D2 from 8th grade - 10th grade, and now im in my junior year of college and D3 wont come out until the year I start law school (I'll be 24).
To question a concept that allows blizzard to regulate trade is ridiculous. There has never been any trade regulation at all, and we have seen so many dupes and so many items coming and watering down trade. We have seen fluctuation in currency and constant changes in what is worth what.
Its really not helpful to look at a new concept, from WoW or not, and see its application as nothing but hurtful. Diablo2 nor Diablo1 were ever perfect, and implications of new systems and structure were the only things that made D2 superior to D1. So please, stop tripping all over new implementations.
Binding items to accounts (as opposed to specific characters) is a genius idea. Once blizzard has a free reign to know the strength of the economy and control whats being traded and whats being kept, it can then strengthen the currency so any real player can have some sort of currency.
If your argument is that runes and runewords were a perfect currency for D2, please tell me how many high runes the average diablo player has ever seen drop?
1? 5? 10? I dont care who you are, it probably never exceeded 20. (Unless you have made D2 your job)
Let Blizzard do its thing, it has a huge shot to give us an awesome game, and to question them every step of the way is as smart as a one legged man entering an ass kicking contest.
There goes anyones wondering about the asian island... and therefore... should probably cut the samurai ponderings down to size.
Secondly,
Everyones problems with the lack of originality in the classes are insane. Diablo characters have always been archetypes... Its the players job to turn them into unique gods through use of items and skill strategy

Talk about conflict... who needs law school?
