posted a message on Earthquake QuestioN! =)

Just import your character into D3 Character Planner with all your current gear, change the parameters of your amulet and look at Elemental damage parameters. Or you can even simulate the usage of Earthquake and look at resulting damage. If the damage is comparable, go for Strength one as it will additionally give you more toughness.

However, with same Elemental bonus, I think that the game's intrinsic calculator should give you adequate values of your damage and toughness changes upon amulet change. IDK if there are any specific mechanics with Earthquake involving Crit Chance though...

i have mostly 16bit flacs. but have some SaCDs too.
i ll use it mostly in bus. not loudy as streets i think.
my preferred device is zx100 with sony XBA-Z5 headphones. also have Fiio E6 amp.
ofcourse there is better options then sony players but i think other devices cost me even more. for long years i trust sony's quality and its just enough for me. example my walkman still works that i bought at 98. and my discman works just fine over 15yrs old.
im not an ''audiophile'' for sure but i want to listen better sound with an easy portable setup.

Well, it seems that you've got a pretty good setup here with XBA-Z5 and Fiio E6. Didn't now the level of your headphones when writing my comment. I think that ZX100 will be a good variant for you then, the only alternative for that price being ASTELL&KERN AK Jr. However, I've heard that it has some troubles with Windows 10 or MacOS so if you don't want to dance around it with tambourine, just buy ZX100.
I don't think that more powerful players like Colorfly C4 or ASTELL&KERN AK120 will give you a improvement in sound quality over ZX100 that is worth paying for, at least if you're not in the quiet room. I personally use Beyerdynamic T1 and (with proper amp) couldn't find any real differences between my iBasso DX100 and Colorful C4. So I wouldn't spend my money on something that I all the same would not be able to hear. But it's up to your own ears ;)
BTW, I'm sure that a lot of people will call you "Crazy Audiophile" just looking at the price of your headphones :P

Well, late RoRG is better than no RoRG at all, isn't it? Congrats and use the remaining Season 2 time to get as much as you can from your M6 setup. Explore the higher GRifts, check what is awaiting you in the future to be fully prepared for S3. Sadly, I didn't manage to get my DH to M6 level this season, so I will concentrate on Monk till the end of Season (or till sudden disconnect, lol). Barb seems to become a very cool class next Season, WD has a lot of interesting options too, even though he doesn't get new set (I still hope that Blizz will improve Helltooth set in the future, S4 maybe?). So good luck and hope to see a new diary from you!

Hey-hey, I'm eager to see your updated armory, mate! It's so exciting to get several updates per game session and see your toon to easily deal with enemies that seemed to be too tough just an hour ago!

There were some M6 builds that didn't include RoRG as a mandatory item in Patch 2.1.1, but then you had not to spend your hatred using CA. Now you'd better use Pride's Fall or Cindercoat to reduce Hatred cost which means you'll have to go through some Bounty circles. Just hope that RNG will favor you, as I can see, you've caught your train with all those Mara pieces. I think that a good way for you to spend your time will be to go through GRifts up to the point where you slow down a bit (since you're capable of T4, I'd say up to GR15), then kill everything as fast as you can, spawn the Rift Guardian with 7-8 minutes left and go do some fast bounty, then return to RG with enough time to kill it. Rinse, repeat. It'll take 2-3 times to set your timing and do the cycle right. So you get both shards, legs from RG and bounties without spending too much time.

And gamble for Chest Armor, you'll need Mara or Cindercoat, everything else is far less crucial for DH (yep, Balckthorn and Aughild are out of competition).

Also, if you're still using +%Cold bracers, try Maelstrom rune for CA, because it will be a multi-purpose skill for you:

    1) It's Cold Damage

    2) It's using rockets buffed by Ballistics

    3) It slows enemies down and triggers Cull the Weak and BotT bonuses

    4) It heals you for each enemy hit

Dunno if lower damage from rockets will make it worse than Shooting Stars, there are more rockets, so more AoE. I think it's worth trying.

Gratz, your Amulet is good, you should feel the difference in numbers, right? CC and CHD are the most important stats for damage output, so If you come across a ring with Dex/CC/CHD/Socket, use it, even if it's yellow, until you get RoRG and SoJ/Unity. Set bonus from Legacy of Nightmares is just laughable, drop it without regret if you get any upgrade ring.

I don't think that in mid-game (before M6 bonus) DH is really OP in comparison to other classes. Monk - yea, he is OP, being able to demolish T3 in full yellow gear and getting past T6 just after getting 3 Sunwuko items. Meanwile, after disconnect loss of my new DH, I switched to Monk and was a bit lucky with him finding some build-making items. Even considering HardCore shift from max DPS to survivability (only 600 k sheet DPS), he's moving through GR30+ like a bulldozer through the field of roses. That's what I call OP 8-).

Anyway, good luck on getting M4 soon and getting as much fun from your game as you can!

If I remember right, quivers can roll bonus to any of your spenders, including CA and Multishot. I just don't know if +% dmg to Sentry will affect also all CAs shot by turrets via Mara set or will they benefit from +% CA instead - may be some more experienced players here will shed some light upon it?

Anyway, to maximize you potential with M6 you should find Bombardier's Rucksack so do not spend all your souls trying to maximize stats on one you have.

Wow, you've got 3 Mara pieces so fast! Wish I had such a lucky day!

I do not fully agree with Slomos about RoRG. Getting it now will give you both M4 and Blackthorn's bonuses that will improve your efficiency a lot (your damage gonna jump up 2-3 times!). With your current setup you can go up to T2-T3 without problems and have a rather good chance of getting Legendary from Bounties. I've got my RoRG in 2 hours of playing on T3 from 5th cash. But with your luck, maybe, you can get 4th Mara piece even faster while doing T1 rifts and spending shards, especially if you've got some friends that will be kind enough to share their loot with you. And with 4 Mara you can go to higher difficulties very fast as you will accomodate your playstyle to being a human cannon.

I don't think that you will be using Multishot with Full Mara bonus, Cluster Arrow seems to be more efficient, so I'd consider rerolling Multishot on Helm to Crit Chance. But only if it will not break your fun, I see you like MS a lot :)

Nice to read that you're getting gear improvements, let's hope that RNG is on your side!

A bit of advice about Leg Gems that you're gonna use. The common options for end-game DH are Zei's, BotP and BotT, there are variants like Taeguk. But in the early and mid-game one of the most effective gems will be Pain Enhancer. 400% dmg per second coming from it will be a higher increase to your overall dmg than a 15% bonus from BotT. Wreath of LIghtning with 600% will be even stronger, the strongest gem at Rank 1, but it requires of youto be close to enemies - DHs do not want that, right? I made some calculations and found out that non-leveled Pain Enhancer outperforms almost any other non-leveled Leg Gems. Just don't upgrade it, get your Zei's and BotT upgraded instead. The moment you get your Mara 4 piece bonus, Pain Enhancer becomes useless (+20% of all dmg dealt by 3-4 turrets, each of them dealing about 1000% weapon dmg in worst case scenario, is clearly better than 400% weapon damage every second) , then you switch to BotT or BotP.

Good luck and generous drops to you! I started the exploration of DH gameplay not so long ago and it is a valuable experience, the character is really very different from others.

Hope you will get your Marauder set soon enough, it's really the key to high levels. My girl without Mara pieces was able to do T3 easily, after some tweaks and advices from friendly people here was able to get to T5-6 with only 2 Mara items and full Natalya's bonuses (died after meeting with two hard Elite packs, though), but it was a difficult way. May be this discussion will help you a bit with skills and build: http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-class-forums/demon-hunter-the-dreadlands/114627-stuck-at-gr18-lol-what-am-i-doing-wrong.

As of right now I consider you removing Blood Vengeance from passives and replacing it with Cull the Weak. It's a solid bonus to your damage since you are getting enemies slowed by Entangling Shot. You should have enough Hatred from ES, Wraps, Bat, Preparation and Templar, especially if you run Fire at Wil Multishot.

First of all, reroll a socket on your weapon and put Emerald in it - that's mandatory, you will see damage numbers rise significantly. If you have enough Souls, try to reroll some stats like +% to Crit Chance on your helm (instead of Skill bonus), +Skill on Quiver and Boots to Multishot, AllResist on belt, Vit on Armor. Since you're playing SoftCore, survivability isb't that crucial for you, as it was for me, but frequent deaths slow you down considerably. On the other hand, you're gonna change these items in the future and save your Souls for Mara's.

If you will find yourself bored or not very effective with Multishot, try Cluster Arrow-Maelstrom and introduce Ballistics instead of Archery or Ambush. You'll possibly need new Reaper Wraps with Cold dmg, but even without it give it a try. I've experienced a huge boost in my damage after moving to CA from Elemental Arrow and MS.

If you're having troubles with fast killing of Rift Guardians or other fat mobs, try Singled Out passive, it gives a very high Crit Chance against dolo enemies. Its effectiveness gets weaker as you accumulate Crit Chance on your gear, though, would not recommend it after you get 45-50% CC.

So, once again, good luck on your journey, have fun - after all, that's the most important aspect of any game, isn't it?

posted a message on Stuck at GR18 (LOL) - What am I doing wrong?

HC only, no other way! What are we looking for the game to give us, if not a difficult task and bursts of adrenaline? Playing SC means you just can't lose - then why play the game at all? While GRs are not nearly competitive between players (RNG rules over the skill), HC gives you another challenge - not in the field of gear and reaction, but in the field of courage and determination.

HC also resolves the frequent question of "I completed my M6/Jade/Raekor/whatever set using almost perfect items, everything around dies, dunno what to do now, don't want to grind for 1% increase in dmg..." and so on. You got good gear - time to test its limits and limits of your skills! And if you lose - you really lose, so that starts to mean something! Go, try, die, start again - it's a game about grinding, isn't it? And if you don't like grinding - what are you doing there for so long in the first place?

Getting killed on HC (not via disconnect, of course) gives me a strange pleasure, a knowing that I went as far as I could, some kind of personal achievement. I know that being a casual player I will never reach those heights that top players conquer, I've got not enough free time for that kind of diving into the game (family, job, etc.), but at least I reach my personal limit - and that is already something. Next time I'll try harder and go some further - so the interest for the game persists.

BTW, GR 19 done, GR 20 gonna be this evening 8-)
