    posted a message on Hardcore Arena would you do it?
    I think that getting enough high level people would be an issue, but that they should definitely include the option. In a real rivalry, say between two clans or something, you would want the option to settle the score once and for all. Even if there is only 1 high level pvp hc match a year, its worth them implementing the feature (honestly, how difficult would it be to program?).

    posted a message on D2 class comparison against D3
    Monk to me looks more like a zealadin from D2. Maybe thats just because I played a zealadin for the lols and not an assassin.

    I think that while the characters remind us of the old D2 characters, they will play significantly differently. Not only do we have tons more skills available at once (makes me think of Guild Wars more than D2), but there is a much greater emphasis on utility, balance, etc. Consider the Demon Hunter, which has 2 different types of energy. Then there are generating skills and whatnot. Doesn't sound anything like an amazon to me.

    posted a message on New class in D3 expansion !
    I would personally love to see the druid come back. Instead of focusing on only one shapeshift (as they did in D2), it would be cool to see one like Udyr from LoL. He would transform into a new form for an active effect (stun, shield, etc) and his new form would have a passive effect, like increased armor or splash damage. So you would have a druid constantly shifting into new animals while fighting.

    posted a message on Magic Find Vs. Gold Find
    I think the main question is whether gold farmers or item farmers are going to hit the AH harder. Since it is probably easier to get a bot to farm gold, I'm guessing gold farmers will be much more prevalent. This means that by using MF gear, you can find some items and sell them for a ton of gold (due to the inflation that gold farmers will bring). If bots are nearly impossible to make, or if its easy for farmers to get items and not gold, then the opposite would be true.

    There are 5 classes.

    No one says the classes have to resemble the old ones. They can twist the "lore" of any of the skill types, mix them up and give them to a totally different class.

    As an example, a class that uses charge-up/finisher skills for melee (like the assassin ones), crossbow skills (ranged, a different build option) and spirits as utility (like the druid ones, for any build).
    I can imagine that as a black knight of some sort. Even though you would call it a Paladin replacement (gameplay wise, because hes a knight), he uses combat skills resembling the assassin ones and spirits resembling the druid ones.

    Heh, told u so. Wizard. I would have guessed that but I was hoping for something (a name, not the class itself) that wasn't so bland (although I do take back my guess of witch, forgot they already had a witch doctor. They aren't mixing up the skill sets, they are "re imagining" the classes.

    And I know they won't have the same number as I put, but I didn't know which ones (from diablo 2) they would pick so I gave names for all of them.

    And as to all the naysayers for the wizard. Yes it looks bland except for TIME STOP. First halfway decent use of time stop ive ever seen (although it looks like it wont be very powerful when you are surrounded by archers).

    And im still waiting for the double axe throwing rogue.

    And I know ive said and too much, I just keep on editing this post.

    Just now realizing that there is a picture of a religious dude with a sword on the official site (look at caldeum), I'm guessing that there will not be a cleric class replacing the Paladin, rather a Zealot or something (clerics traditionally can't use blades). I think the dude with the spear will be a guy for hire (act 2 sounding familiar?).

    posted a message on Diablo 3 Death Mechanic and Town Portal
    I would like it better if you still had to go get your corpse, but just had to get close (instead of clicking on it). I dont want it to be like an arcade game but without quarters (which is what respawning at a checkpoint would mean). It would be the equivalent of having infinite health (monsters wouldn't respawn, as in multiplayer it just wouldnt work at all). I say don't click on ur corpse, because all too many times ive had duriel standing on it.

    I'm pretty sure each character is going to be "re imagined", no "radically new" characters.
    I.e.
    Barbarian=barbarian
    Necromancer=witch doctor (summon=summon, bone=fire, curse=disease)
    Sorceress=witch (probly not elementalist as the sorceress had 3 element skill trees, so it would be too similar)
    assassin=rogue
    Amazon=archer/hunter
    Druid=shapeshifter/shaman
    Paladin=Cleric (not healing kind, but it is probly the class Blizzard was talking about when they said one class would make people mad)

    Although I find these classes likely, I do not think they are a certainty (although if they do go with that many names from WoW I may have to cry). I'm pretty sure about the cleric and rogue though.

    In response to the gunslinger thread closing, I find that we were on topic because the gunslinger question arose from Blizzard saying there would be a class that annoyed people, and we were speculating on what that class was.

    I refine my previous statement. 20 bucks says its a cleric. (not the healing kind, but it will still heal a bit. think hammer wielding paladin). Im pretty sure each class is going to be replaced with a very similar class (necromancer/druid=witch doctor, barbarian=barbarian, paladin=cleric, assassin/amazon=rogue, sorceress=magician (or something))
