If you watch the game play trailor and pause at the right moments when the mouse arrow hovers above a skill you can clearly see that the skills are in "ranks" as in WoW.Even tho they said that the video is not necessarily how the game will work it could be how its done. Also in D2 in order for the barb to have leap, you would need to go down the skill tree. If there are obstacles that require leap of some form every barb would be required to attain that skill, therefore, canceling out skill trees and making the rank system of WoW more likely.
