posted a message on New interview, possibly no more leeching life/mana
Okay, so far as I know, no one who has been complaining (or defending, to be fair) has even PLAYED THE GAME. How can we really give any kind of opinion one way or the other when we haven't even tried it out? I plan on reserving my opnion about how good or bad it is until I try it out. I honestly don't really like the idea of health orbs, but it does add dimension to the gameplay. Diablo 2 was a bit of a mindless hack/slash/chug and watch the bodies fall. I'm actually looking forward to not having to worry about keeping a supply up as well as using them. And as far as life leech goes, I never found it reliable enough to trust.

Diablo fans need to boil down what really matters to them most about the Diablo series. For me, it's all about the randomness, of the dungeons, the world, and the drops. I can play Diablo II hundereds of times and the world is always different, the dungeons are different, my gear is different. Only the core quests/towns stay the same, and even that will change in Diablo III! I don't love Diablo because of life leech, or because of health potions.

posted a message on Just curious, whats your biggest gripe about diablo 3
Well, I like Blizzard a lot, but I hate how they won't even give a tenative release date, I mean, I'll understand it it's delayed, but every game of theirs is "released when it's ready" and that pisses me off more than a delay of a month or two.

All these specs sound like overkill. Based on the interviews that I've read from the D3 devs, apparently they're still using an isometric view, albeit also using a 3D engine, but in any case, I'm willing to bet the graphics requirements won't be all that high. Now, I run a farily high end machine, and I upgrade every year, so that's never a problem for me. I don't think you'll need the latest and greatest.

I'm just hoping for a resolution higher than 800x600... :P

posted a message on Question about unique items
Okay, I can't find the answer to this question anywhere, and I know someone knows the answer. Me and my friends play Diablo 2 LOD all the time, and we usually play single player by ourself with the occasional LAN game. Now, my question is if we find, say, a Stone of Jordan, when we are playing by ourselves, it's possible to find it again if we play a LAN game, right? But then, is it possible as well to find a 2nd SoJ when playing by ourselves?
