Is item trading going to be improved upon? Will there be "market" games, in which players can set up a shop to display their items, and browse other shops? Veltras #4
Are we going to see the same types of loot (i.e. normal, magical, ethereal, rare, set, unique)? basekick #8
I loved to collect set items in Diablo 2, but sometimes I never found a whole set, or the set was not as effective as having unique or runeword items, will having full sets be more rewarding in Diablo3? Will sets and the other kinds of items be more ballanced in power? jwest88 #10
Will there be Magic Find in Diablo III, if so, how will it be different/similar? If not, how will the dropping of super rare items be dictated? AcidReign #14
Are there other ways of acquiring items aside from monster drops; i.e. crafting, gambling, or quests. b-rabbit #55 (so far only one to post his own question)
Are Blizzard implementing a new system for skill usage that will encourage a player to spread out their skill points rather then save them up for the big skills at the bottom of the skill trees? Protios #37
Will we have an advanced stats window showing stats like: Magic find, Increased attack speed, Increased, spell casting speed, Fast Run rate, Fast Block rate, Recovery from hit speed? masternic35 #49
Is there a night/day progression when outside? And if so, would some types of creatures change? Lord Petrov #58
Will your mercenary have an inventory to store things? InterrogatorChaplain #59
Will reaching the maximum level be as enormous a feat as it was in diablo II? Teofill #69
I think most of these questions are so good; whoever is answering them probably won't even touch on half of them. As they have done in the past, I am expecting to still be left hanging.
The concept art on these guys are awesome, I wish the 3D model looked more like those drawings. They don't come off as being aggressive, I would never pick one to take down a dune thresher. The lore and the concept art is sweet though.
1. What improvements are they making with mercenaries; will they have skill trees/stat points which we can allocate? Also, is there any chance of seeing previous D2 characters as mercenaries?
2. Are there other ways of acquiring items aside from monster drops; i.e. crafting, gambling, or quests.
Can't wait to get word of the next big announcement. Thanks for your help covering BlizzCon!
Anyone feel like starting up some characters? It would be nice to get a little group so we can play the game for what its worth rather than being forced into rushes / enchant...
I wouldn't post here anymore out of fear of getting an infraction point. Granted, I am raising concern about the links; not the site error.... which isn't in the DO NOT POST: WARNING YOU WILL BE OWNED thread.... Still, I was owned and see how my concern is perceived around here. Manually bookmarking the homepage as diablofans.com works, in case anyone else is having a similar problem with links and is trying to see the home page for contest results or what have you.
With all of the complaining about what WE want who can blame them from going in another direction. I am sure its much easier to make something which no one has any expectations for, they can do their own innovative thing. I am not sure I could wait another 10 years after 3 either.

D2 didn't have half the complaints because it also didn't have half of the following that the series now has. Who cares if a game has AWESOME graphics if you can't stand to play it for more than 30 minutes.
An auction house sounds appealing; I would like it to sound darker and more Gothic though (remind you of any petitions??). How about.... Bartering Monastery. Haha, really though... being able to trade without chat rooms/making trading games would be really nice. While this suggestion is nothing original, I think it would be a neat feature to be able to offer items which you have rather than making gold the only currency for the auction house.
Also I would not mind seeing dual leach-neon green-skull helmets! Although not all classes are making a comeback, I think certain items should definitely be converted to 3D in D3.

I heard a shrine sound as well...
