Fantastic. I was really hoping for free-to-play on Bnet.Pricing for the game is still being decided, but don’t expect to pay subscription fees for access to Battle.net. Sure, there’s always the possibility that different membership tiers will be introduced later on, but nothing we heard during our chat suggested that the team has anything other than a free-to-play model in mind for Diablo III’s online play.

Yes it is my opinion and technically it is news, especially in a slow news week. Some news is better than no news but to get excited about something like this when the game isn't even close to being released is an exercise in futility. I am surprised mention of anything about an expansion by someone associated with Blizzard was even allowed. They are normally very tight lipped about these matters.
Sorry if I struck a nerve on you there mate about your reporting of the news. Your reporting procedures were never in question. That fact that you brought it up is just appears to be a defense of insecurities. -
Aug 5, 2008Hellstream posted a message on MTV - Necromancer May Return, Diablo 3 Expansion Confirmed? While news on Diablo 3 is great and I am always waiting for more, this news just makes me shake my head. Honestly, everyone expects an expansion eventually, but at this point who cares. It seems like putting the cart before the horse. We need the game to be out at least a year before we can even really consider an expansion so this is more like no news at all.Posted in: News

Diablo 3 is a spitting imagine of WoW, there are no ifs ands or buts about it.
I don't know where you can come off saying D3 is a spitting image of WoW...how much of the game have you actually played?! It doesn't look anything like WoW at all. If the engine is in any way related to the WoW engine it has been largely reworked.
I just watched the gameplay video again just to make sure that I am not relying on false memories and the only thing I saw that made me think of WoW was the floating numbers. Everything else made me think more of Diablo 1 and 2 with a graphical overhaul. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
