posted a message on Sentry Buff Icon Useless to all Demon Hunters

I think the icons are working as intended. The important thing is that the icons report the buff you get from M6. This is the only thing that matters. The fact that active sentries don't really exist is beside the point. I state that the intent is that you aren't penalized for entering a new floor in a rift. It is bad enough that you have drop new sentries each time you change floors but it would be inappropriate in rifts to lose your buff. So starting a new floor with sentries active seems appropriate. Remember the icon was added because of player requests to know if they had to drop more sentries to keep their buff maximized. As long as the icon is indicative of the buff the icon is fine. If the OP actually got his request it might end up as a nerf when you change floors during rifts. I doubt this is what is being requested.

What? Why should Sentries move? They are pets that take no damage. You also get 5 charges with a Rucksack. If you don't have a Rucksack I don't think you should be running M6. You can cube Meticulous Bolts. But you need a real Kridershot equipped. Otherwise the build is not even close to being up to its potential.

posted a message on Let's try this again..making Diablo 3 competitive

If they did this as a weekly deal, I think it would be a good challenge and you only get 1 shot at it each week. They are doing this kind of thing with Hearthstone. Each week your get a different Tavern Brawl. But if they kept the same map for an entire Season it would be boring. And if you could do with multiple attempts, the challenge is silly. There would be guides on how to master the challenge. RNG is there because it keeps people from having the answer upfront. This would be like playing a card game and instead of shuffling the cards, you got to put the cards in the order you saw fit.

Now if they gave you a character with the same gearing that everyone got, this would be a better challenge. People would have to use some weird skills that aren't being used in the current Metagame. If they did that, you could allow multiple attempts. People could Theorycraft some builds to get the best times.

The cube is a menu of items that can be cubed. If it's not on the menu then it can't be cubed. For example a Stone of Jordan is not on the menu. This is because it doesn't have a legendary power. As powerful as it is, there is no Orange text to extract.

After you extract an item, the menu un-greys the item as an equippable passive skill. Follower items are not on the menu.

S3 ended in the PTR. Is it possible that what you are currently seeing in the PTR is the merged paragon of seasons and nonseason accounts?

Just don't jump into a Greater Rift. This late in the season and more so in nonseason they will want to do Tier 40. They probably won't care but you won't have the keys so your likelihood of getting kicked is very high. If you join a regular rift game I doubt they will care at all. I would not. We're only there for mats and grift keys. So they are just really fast runs.

posted a message on New Torment drop rates

Multiple machines drop at T8 and T10. I didn't test the other 2 torments. Maybe not T7 but you would think T9 as well. Death's Breath as drops multiple items from elites. In my estimate this is good as split farming at T10 would be really hard in a multi-player game. Probably like a Rank 50 grift.

You are right, there is no slow on knockback

2.3 will make it easier because we can cube thunderfury

In 2.3 you can use Iceblink.

You have to buy the game, unless you live in China where it's completely free to play. But unlike WoW, there are no subscription fee. There actually is no solo or multi-player mode, only public and private. But you can block others from entering your private game. If you don't block, people from your clan or friends list can just enter your game whenever they want.

Your Marauder is lacking a bunch of things. You should have Sentry Damage on your shoulders and chest. You shouldn't need Vengeance as the cooldown is forever and stacking CDR over RCR is not advised. You should be using a generator along with picking up health globes and bat companion should be on constant cooldown because you want the wolf howl up as much as possible. You quiver should have a skill damage bonus. Most people go with Cluster Arrow with Marauders over MS. Cluster Arrow will shoot farther and thus yield more damage from the ones you leave behind. It shoots at least 2.5 screens if walls don't get in the way. Tumble is more expensive that Trail of Cinders with 28% Fire RCR on the Cindercoat. I question even using the Cindercoat to begin with. Focus and Restraint is too strong. But if you are going to use RRoG, farm a better one. Yours is horrible. Ancient Jewelry means nothing as a really good one will not have Main Stat. In the case of Rings you want both crits and either weapon damage or RCR. Amulets should have Elemental, CHC, CHD and Socket. If you had a Hellfire, I could understand not having the elemental because a good passive is better than Elemental. The rings you can get I would go double Unity if I chose to equip RRoG. Compass Rose is only good if you have the complimentary Necklace. Roll IAS off your gloves to RCR. Marauders does not need Attack Speed, you've rolled it on your gloves and belt. The make absolutely no sense, since you aren't even generating. Evasive Fire Focus generates the most Hatred. The Diamond in your helm is correct. That CDR will help bring up your wolf howl and speed up the recharge on your sentries. CHC is really low because you don't have it on your RRoG and Helm. And considering you have Witching Hour, you CHD is also low.

You UE build has all ready been discussed, but I would add that you have RoV CDR from Nat's 2 piece and you aren't using that skill? Not that RoV synergizes with UE, but, if I had 2 piece reduction, I would use it. You have a RRoG on and not only is it terrible, the legendary affix does nothing other than the help with Blackthornes. I do recommend Focus and Restraint as well, but your rings are worst than the Marauder. They have Vitality on them and absolutely no Crit from them. Jewelry has a potential of 22%CHC and 200%CHD, you have 95% CHD on yours. And I agree, you need a way to proc Cull the Weak and Bane of the Trapped. If you are going to wear the terrible RRoG at least get a Magefist or steal the Cindercoat of your Marauder. Multishot Arsenal without Ballistics is a huge loss in DPS. The theme here seems to be "have a lot of Hit Points, almost 800K. Well, you won't die as often, but you kill things very fast either. Are you actually putting Paragon into Vit? I think so. Even though I realize you are missing 120 Dex from your pants gems, your Dex for Paragon 600+ should be over 10,000 and you aren't even close. My DH doesn't have 500k life or 15M Toughness. Your DH has 20M Toughness. If you need survivability, get a Molten Wildebeest Gizzard and level it, do not stack Vit. I'll bet it takes forever for you to regenerate to full health. All Paragon after movement speed and max hatred should be dexterity. You are losing both Armor and Damage by not equipping Dexterity. With more Armor, you need less HP and Vit only adds HP. If you need more HP from Paragon, use Life % for the boost, not Vit.

It's simply better to go with F&R and cubing Unity or CoE. SoJ just isn't good anymore :(

The thing is that with F+R you need to use a generator skill. No matter which one, it has low damage, you loose dps when you use it, and you have used 1 of the 6 skill slots for it. When I speed farm, I am actually using an ancient In-Geom. After the first elite kill, I spam steed charge to the next elite, kill it and repeat again, till the final rift guardian. Because of that, I feel that a Unity+SoJ+CoE will be great for elites in T10.

If I use an ancient Furnace (with the In-Geom affix cubed), the elite damage will be awesome: 30% SoJ+ 15% Unity + 15% leg gem + 50% Furnace = 110%. I use fire shield bash, so for fire: 20% SoJ, 20% cindercoat, 20% amulet and 20% bracers = 80% (100% fire if I change the Leoric Crown for Roland Helm, and Roland gloves for MageFists with 20% fire). With the 500% of the 4 Roland Set pieces damage bonus and a 200% Drakon's Lesson braces, elites will melt even in T10, I think... If you have at that moment the 200% of the CoE... icing on the cake...

Anyway, for high rifts I will try the mannercookie fire shield bash build, with F+R and Unity cubed. I was just only saying that for pure speed farming, I will try the another ring combo... I think is still early to see what is gonna be the meta build in 2.3... maybe hammers? I'm not sure...

TLDR. Started losing me with In-Geom. Completely lost me with Furnace. This the DH forum. In-Geom is usable, but, the last sword that had any affect on monster for DH used a Bug and it Topped the Leaderboard and subsequently was patched the next day. We can't equip the Furnace. There is no DH build that doesn't generate. SlowBall Lighting one of the most powerful builds for DH only generates, except to trigger F/R.

posted a message on Witch Doctor 2.3 Cube Build Theory Crafting

OP, you are cubing Unity on all your build. That makes no sense. Unity does have the Legendary Affix but it also rolls with Elite Damage. In the case of Convention of Elements, if we eliminate the Legendary Affix CoE only has the advantage that it rolls with Socket. You should wear Unity. In the case of Bastions of Will, because it is a ring set, cubing Unity is reasonable. SoJ is well paired with Unity because it also rolls with Elemental and Elite. These are double buff rings. Not actually wearing them is bad itemization.

posted a message on Really blizz, the buff again...

OP your justification is BS. Nobody is telling you not to have fun. But the intent of the PTR is fix issues before the release. They determined they have enough data without the buff. So they don't need you to test leveling. If you missed the leveling and want to test, you will have to wait for the buff to end. Right now they need using the Seasonal items tested.

BTW why are posting feedback to the community rather than Blizzard. If you think something is broken tell them either in the feedback or bug report forum. That is part of the testing process. Complaining to the community doesn't fix the game, testing and posting your test results does.

Cube a Xepherian Amulet for the reflect. Armor is unchanged. Go unhallowed essence. Armour item will probably be witching hour with the new defensive belt or thunderfury.

Fifth passive is debatable. There is a new defensive passive. But you can take singled out or ambush. Archery is good as well. So you will have to experiment. You should have awareness, steady aim, call the weak, as part of your build.

Lightning requires no hatred so stack paragon on Dex.

Who cares that there is no requirement for Forgotten Souls for Reapers Wraps. I'm just glad they don't cost 72 Arcane Dust. I've blown right through full stacks of AC crafting them. Now it will probably be down to a single stack. :-)
