I think these ideas would kill off seasons. Then the game would just stop being fun. Trading is not needed. I like the limited amount you can do in groups. But I don't want people hoarding stuff just so they can trade it for stuff they need. The cube is fine for getting those items you lack or the occasional end game upgrade.

posted a message on UE - Yang & DML build, help requested.

You could roll the area damage. It is mostly affected by DoTs like pain enhancer and the tox gems. But since you rolled the lowest on the legendary affix I would roll it to RCR. That 10% will probably be more useful. Paragon will help with AD but hopefully you can get more on your shoulders. You don't want to run out of MS. This is more important if you are pushing for the upper 50s. If you had 45% or higher I would recommend the area damage.

posted a message on Looking to conquer the one-man army boards on hardcore? Here's a guide!

Cindercoat over Pride's Fall comes down to that 5 second caveat. Cindercoat requires a fire build which is optimal any way over any other UE build with Yangs. Trail of Cinders is good for procing the Calamity affix. Tumble would benefit over ToC but that ground effect is very useful.

You are going to get hit as DH. So right when you need the added RCR it won't be available, you will just die waiting on that 5 Seconds. I take the full time proc and there is little loss of Discipline. I think I recover the cost of it in less than a second if I only vault once. I find it really hard to run out of Discipline and preparation is always off cool down if I get into a situation where I have to vault a crazy amount of times.

I don't like Iceblink either. So I cube a Kridershot and use Frost Arrow. You have to use Bat Companion over Wolf but it is way more effective in dense Grifts than Evasive Fire. And I get to use Stricken. I just completed GR 55. I went back to EV Focus as a test. Yeah you get to use Wolf but the cool down on it didn't seem to help most of the time. I think the Calmity and Kridershot builds are very similar in damage. You get marked for death with one build and more slows with the other.

posted a message on Stuck at GR 60 :(

You need to link your battle net account. This isn't the blizzard website.

But if you can complete GR 59 you can probably fish for a 60. Also upgrading your gems will be the quickest means of improving your gear.

posted a message on Deadmans Legacy Legendary affix question..

The simplified math above ignores hatred generation. You will need to generate a lot less during extended fights. For seasonal play you have to consider bane of the stricken.

Stricken is an exponential buff so if you can kick in the doubling earlier, the damage acceleration begins to climb earlier.

posted a message on Get rid of seasons

Suggesting to get rid of seasons is just selfish. You are not required to play seasons. If you don't want to play seasons, just don't.

But there are a lot of people that like the resetting of our characters. It allows us an even playing field to measure our play against others. I have a nonsensical character with over 800 paragon. I'm not that interested in grinding for days to get very few levels. When the season over I'll see what my accumulated paragon gets me. But I would rather build a new character from scratch with my clan mates.

posted a message on Super Solo Power level. 60 in 14 seconds!

This is odd, I just started a build to make a leveling set. I got a bunch of puzzle rings and was basically just going to open a T10 vault and pick up a ton of gold. I haven't finished. I just level gems of ease on my third upgrade attempts. I have 3 piece with no level requirement. I haven't had time to check out your VOD. But I will just to compare your build to what I was thinking would work.

Keep the vit. Discipline to +12. 45% increase to your skills is better. Your damage range is almost maxed. You can get other bonuses on other slots. Only quiver, chest and weapon can give you max discipline. Hard to ever make it up except for a weapon upgrade. It would be like winning the lottery twice. Sure it can happen. Now you can focus getting an upgrade somewhere else.

I would take the 24% area damage myself. Drop area damage off your quiver and get the attack speed there. Quivers only roll to 20% area damage. As most people have found out, a really well rolled quiver is hard to come by. I've salvaged so man ancient DLMs because it was missing Max Discipline, crit chance, MS damage, or the orange threshold was low.

So this advice will only apply if you have a similar situation with your DLM. Of course now that you weapon is good, you can focus on cubing yellow quivers to ancient.

posted a message on Guidance For The Newly Returned

2 handed weapons are slower but do more damage. 1 handed weapons are faster and allow for a huge boost in critical hit damage with another weapon gem if dual wielding. Offhand items like quivers, shields, sources and mojos are complementary slots that usually give you an additional legendary affix to offset the lower damage of of a one handed weapon.

Slower weapons also reduce the amount of spending of resources. So you hit harder requiring but spend less allowing you to generate more. This comes into play if you rely on a cool down skill to aid with generating resources for high cost spell casts.

posted a message on Which class has the best build for speedfarming Death's Breath?

I would say you would get the most effiency by farming in groups. My DH just reached Paragon 400 and I can easily carry the load for another person.

So if you can farm with a friend take turns wearing Sages. You want to farm at least T8. T7 at a minimum to take advantage of the drop rates. Elite drop 100% with a chance for a second DB. The exception to this are monster's that always spawn. These would be specific yellows that are always in the same spot. Not sure why they don't drop DBs but I think it may have something to do with old coding that used to allow them to drop the retired crafting mats that were needed to craft legendary items in Vanilla and early RoS.

posted a message on DH Paragon leveling question

Equip leoric's crown in the cube. But I will state that your progress will be slow until you can run at least T6. You have to kill higher experience monsters to level fast. It actually too me over a week to get to Paragon 150. Bad drops prevented me from getting my UE set. And the way it works is you need Death's Breathe to craft. But at lower Torments they don't drop that often. As well you don't get as many Grift Keys. So your progression is slowed by not being able to craft or upgrade legendary gems. Once you get a full set you should have no problem doing T6. Once you get an Ancient Weapon and Focus and Restraint you should be able to farm T8. At T8 DBs are guaranteed from Elite kills. There are exceptions to this, the map spawn Elites that are always there usually, maybe never, drop them. But you will progress at a faster pace. I have 250 Paragon after I was able to farm T6. This was done in about the same playing time it took me to get to 150. Mind you the experience required goes up each Paragon. So this is close to 5 times the amount of XP.

So what I'm saying is that keep playing until you get better stuff. Create an Ancient weapon with the cube from yellow. There will be a point where you will get a burst of Paragon. Completing a single Grift will net you 3 Paragon.

Your goal should be to get to Paragon 600 as fast as you can. At that point, you can start stacking Paragon points to Dex. Before that it will all go to Max Hatred and Movement speed. With boots or a Krelms belt you can do this earlier. But your gear is no optimal if you are compensating for movement speed.

Area Damage. Weapons roll to +24%. This is higher than anywhere else. If you are going to have it, you want it on your Weapon. But, you would need a GG one, but, you don't have that problem.

posted a message on Is there any advantage to playing HC?

The only benefit would be that it's easier to make the Leader-board because less people play that mode.

The community is probably tighter, so, it's probably easier to find a group that will play with you on consistent basis.

The game is exactly the same with the exception that there is a cheat death amulet. If you die, it consumes itself but you live.

Personally, I'm too chicken to play it. I haven't played HC since S1. I lost 4 dudes. But I will state that if you are going for the Achievements Leader-board, SC player can not complete a lot of them. I only played HC for the achievements. I still need to get a pair of Nemesis Bracers so I can spawn some Elite Bats. It's one of the few achievements that I still have yet to do.

posted a message on What would the better UE option be?

I tend to think option 1 is better since you can cube RRoG to use Cindercoat for the Fire Damage. This would be an ridiculous amount for Fire RCR and it would make Vaulting almost free using Trail of Cinders, keeping your UE buff near max. Assuming you can get a HF with Fire Damage and bracers. Diminishing returns will set in if you go from 60% to 80%. Better to add the Calamity.

I experimented with Calamity during the week between seasons and I ended up using other things. I like the Kridershot better for solo to use Frost Arrow to get the slows. Oddly I was stacking IceBlink for even more slowing and the 10% CHC buff. At over 400% CHD, the 10% buff is over 40% overall damage. In seasons I would drop it and go with Bane of the Stricken. But the extra slows was way better than using Molten Wildebeest Gizzard which I used in S3. My Yang's was Ancient, but I wouldn't say that it was anything close to GG.

I haven't done any calculations, just gut feeling on the numbers above.
