The hype from the Diablo 3 announcement got me wanting to replay all the Diablo and Diablo 2 games again. I got Diablo 2: LoD working and today my Diablo CD came in the mail.
It's a legit copy and was still in the shrink wrap.
When I load it the game will play the Intro movie but after that it crashes to the desktop saying I need to insert the CD; even though the CD is in my D:\
I've tried running in compatibility mode and patching to 1.09.
Any ideas?
Update: I moved the diablo directory to C:\Diablo and ran it under Win 95 compatibility forcing 640x480 resolution. Also Patched to 1.09....Still asks for CD.
