Big fan of the site, listen to the podcast and your videos all the time! Hope this screenshot is good enough to win a beta key!
Thanks for having this contest! I been on the forums several times and of course been watching this game basically everyday, so to be able to play the beta... it would be amazing for me. I never get into the betas, and this is one I would want for sure.
Once again, thanks Diablofans, I hope I win! -
Aug 3, 2011Progz posted a message on It Ends with DiabloDoes anyone have a link to that cinmatic that was playing the background during the show? Like the movie where daiblo was seen. I never seen that yet, and was wondering if its online yet? Maybe I missed it, if it is. But for real though, I think everyone already knew Diablo was gunna return to the game! Whats a game without Diablo!???? Hopefully he'll actually be the last boss compare to diablo 2 though.Posted in: News

^^^ I think thats all true, and real, and maybe even hard for many to believe. I also think that now Blizzard has chose to keep the game in development they are now messing with the overall game. Its done, and I think they are making changes that shouldn't be done. I think that these changes shouldn't be happening considering these all came from the drawing board, which went through very long thinking to see if they will last. I wonder how much money they threw in the air since they totally just cut the Mystic astian outta the game. That had to be worth... at least $5,000 at least worth of work? I honestly have no idea but, id just throw it right there.
Another reason I wanted to support my educated guess, is that in the beginning Jay Wilson said so many times they do not want you going into town, or taking you away from the combat or action. They are totally going against what they always been saying and now, I just don't get what they are doing. I think they are getting to the point were you can only edited a game so much, eventually after so long your going to over think and start messing things up. Will I ever know if the game is messed up? Probably not, since I haven't played the full game. But to me, it seems like Blizzard is getting a bit psycho over some things within the game.
Anyways, in short words, I dont like the update. You messin with the game, THAT IS DONE. I don't know I've heard of games going back and changing things, or scraping things and from what I can remember in the past. Its doesn't work out that well. Star Wars Galaxies is a perfect example.
"Scrolls of Identification are no longer in the game" - I think this is the worst of all the things they messed up. Why would you even go half way about it. The fact you have the fucking scroll there makes it more real, realistic. Like no, its awesome that we must spend our ingame gold to buy scrolls to identify are items. Blizzard obviously never understood how life works. This just BUILDS TO THE BIG BANG! If you ever gotten high in your life, you will realize that the whole drive to your dealer, grab your drugs, drive back to your house, and then finally doing the drugs is the BIGGEST RUSH, maybe even closes to EVEN DOING THE DRUG. Why would you take out something that even players love. Yes, it could save inventory. But its the fact that you need something to indentify the item with. Like jeeze, whatever happen to the Open World MMOs like Star Wars Galaxies and Ultima Online, where it was actually cool to plant trees in front of your house. Shit like this, its just stuff people like. Its makes it more life-like. If you just take that item away, then its like 'oh I just have to right click to identify my items now'. Well fuck it, might as well scrap the whole system then. EITHER GO IN, OR DONT!

edit: well if thats what the video is saying which is true (which im guessing is) id just keep on playing then

I finally was able to play the beta through a friend's account. But I found out after playing a bit, that there is currently a stutters problem while playing the game. This stutters happens on beast ass computers and shitty ones. So its obvious that its the game itself. But it sorta worries me that Blizzard still hasn't fixed this yet? I thought this would be something already fixed, but maybe it isn't within their list of things to do first. How many other people playing the beta also have this issue? I know not everyone is experiencing this issue but some people are. When I playing and talking to people their computer would range from intel to nvidia, amd to nvidia, etc. I currently have a amd quad core 3.4ghz, 4gb memory, and running a Radeon 5770 and have this issue. I just currently bought a new video card which I get on the 4th, but in till then, I dunno if that will fix it, but doubt it. Its funny though, cause my friend doesn't have this issue at all, and when I told him, he was surprised since it really does run like butter, but for some reason it stutters sometimes. The reason why I'm posting this, is to ask people if they (who officaly have beta access) heard anything from Blizzard about this issue, or now anything about this?

In many videos already jay wilson already said the game can run on 56k easily. so im sure that answers ur question.

Why would you rename an enchant when theres a game that Blizzard made and more like 10million people played it before? Why make your users relearn stuff? Once they played one game, at least they will understand some things about the game. Pulls people in easiler once they are related to the "old stuff". People hate change, you should know this, everyone complained about Diablo 3 art style at one point. Sounds like they are going backwards doing that. Just dumb thing to do though.

na, dont think so, they only said the ingame items will be the dyes and wings.

It just blows my mind how some of these companies would release a game full of bugs, and ALSO put THEIR NAMES ON IT. Like, shit, if I was that company, that would be embarrassing, seriously!! I mean, the internet rips like another asshole in a company that totally has a bugged filled game. In Skyrim, horses can go up mountains at 90 degrees angle. You know how funny that is? You know how many players are gunna joke about that? Obviously the devs knew about it, but still they released the game, and even THREW THEIR NAMES ON THE PRODUCT!!
What ever happen to people releasing things when they were done. Back in the day no games had bugs.(well barely) Like, how often did you see a bug in like Super Mario games, Zelda, etc. I know they are old games, and things were maybe easier, but they still had to program their games, and because of that, they could have easily had bugs within their games.
Blizzard SERIOUSLY puts their blood, tears, and pride into their games. They know when to release and what to do. Honestly, I never seen such a professional company in the gaming business. These guys will go far with their company, I dunno where the fuck this type of motivation came from though considering NO COMPANY DOES IT. BUT IT WORKS!! It blows my mind that Blizzard still acts as if it were a small group of developers trying to make a living building games, when in reality the company has a SHITLOAD of employees, that make detail, polished games.
But back to pre-ordering, I do realize that there probably will be expansions for Diablo 3. But how often is there going to be a sequel to another Diablo series? This type of thing doesn't happen that often with Blizzard. They actually make collector edition actually worth buying, unlike EA GAMES were just about every game has one. For me, this is a HUGE release for the gaming community, and myself, I think buying the CE will prove that I support Blizzard 100 percent, and the fact that they deserve every penny from me!!
I hope you guys seriously think about buying the CE version. This company has done so much for the gaming community, I honestly don't know what I'd be playing if some of the several games didn't come out. They have improved gaming in so many different ways. They totally care about the community a shitload too, and it shows. It blows my mind, how the most played game was once made through the Warcraft 3 Map editor, DOTA! I cannot stress how much I apperate the things Blizzard has done for not just myself, but for the gaming community. Ever since Warcraft 3 came out, I been such a big fan. To be honest, I'm actually excited for Blizzard DOTA also. Blizzard always is improving games, and this could possibly be another big title coming out.
But once again guys, I hope you think of this collector's edition a bit different. This is really exciting stuff this is happening at the moment. We are living through history, and people in the future will be looking back at this game, and what Blizzard has made.
BUY THE DAMN COLLECTOR'S EDITION!

Oh, well heres my next question.... I'm pretty sure Blizzard is still promoting "Heroism" in Diablo 3. Doesn't adding followers take that away? Like that goes against their whole "hero" idea. Like having your character kill 8 enemies at once!
I dunno, but thats all I'm gunna say to go "back and forth" with this conversion, because now it would just be getting into a "what if" conversion.

I just thought about some thing when I was looking at the new follower page at the official website. Now I've played d2 before of course, but since this is the new Diablo 3, can someone kinda explain why Blizzard decided to bring these guys back into the game? Did they explained like why we need followers? Like did Blizzard prove that it will be a hard journal to get through the game if we don't have a follower. When I say hard, I mean, similar to Diablo 2, and the way their followers work within the game.
Honestly, I really don't understand why this is being brought into the game. I'm not thinking its a bad idea AT ALL. I'm just wondering what is their 'math' behind these guys. Like is there statics proving that players don't like to play alone? I probably would rather play with a follower, even if the game is too easy because of them.
Also, I was looking at the skill calculator on the d3 site, and I don't really understand it yet. What does it mean when a skill is "grayed" out? Are you only allowed to pick one skill each level? Its sorta weird how they setup this page, when your really not "calculating" anything, if you get what I mean.
Anyways, yeah, maybe someone can explain this concept to me. Like I don't have a problem with it, but just like as far as I know, they will just make the game easiler for you. Do they even hold items for you?
