Essentially, what it boils down to is the fact that the barbarians of Harrogath are trained warriors. They are fearsome, menacing, and a destructive force to be feared. Blizzard, I feel, did an excellent job in making the Female Barbarian look the part. It makes sense when you look at it from the point of view of Sanctuary, and not the point of view of Earth.

It's not that funny. In order to see // participate in the Beta, the client software must be updated to reflect the changes of the previous patches that the Beta utilizes. Otherwise incorrect information would be transferred, and your game would crash.

Seriously, people are taking this for granted. Blizzard is updating legacy content... that's like Westwood (EA) updating Command and Conquer Red Alert 2. We should be honored that Blizzard is thinking of us and wants to make an outdated game still fun after all of these years.

*shrug* I'd rather just buy it from Amazon.com and have it overnighted to my house. It seems easier that way, albeit a bit more expensive. At least this way I don't have to worry if some douchebag behind the counter sold my copy of the CE (which has happened), or if the store has any copies left after the midnight madness.
That being said, if they do have a midnight release party, I might get the CE and camp out from 5PM to guarantee I get my copy at midnight. It all depends on what's going on in a year and a half.
Note: I will be taking a week's worth of vacation to fully enjoy Diablo III when it comes out. -

The thing all of these classes have in common is that they are great at both point blank and ranged distances. Because of that, I have my doubts as to if we'll be seeing a pure range class. We've seen from the gameplay videos that each class thus far can hold their own in an all out brawl. To be honest, my vote is that the fifth class could be any man's (or woman's) guess.
If I had to guess? I'd guess something a bit more borderline neutrality. Something that doesn't stray too far from evil or good. Not the NEcromancer, but something dark in nature. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Seriously, if someone doesn't like something, play a game like this, don't buy Diablo 3. If you buy the game, Blizzard will have your money, and believe they did a good job because they accomplished their goal, for you to buy it. If you don't buy the game, you're saying, "I don't like this product, or the decisions that the staff made regarding the product, and therefore I will not further the business that I do not agree with." That's how you speak with your wallet.

I, for one, love the art direction, the skill types, the character archetypes, and (dare I say it) even the integration of Battle.net. If it's "Not enough like Diablo II", people should speak with their wallet, and play Diablo II (or its, in my honest opinion, cheap knockoffs) and not Diablo III.

That being said, that's why I like Sets. They cause the player to think. Item A is more powerful than Item B, but with this set bonus it's better... but I have to equip these crappy boots that don't help me much
That, and I also would like to maintain the diversity of types of items. Normal (White), Magic (Blue), Rare (Yellow), Set (Green), Unique (Gold). Maybe throw in a designation to the vendor fodder items (Grey) and go that way.

I don't know how I feel about the Diablo color scheme. Didn't they say something about the colors reflecting that similar to WoW's? Epics being Purple (or at least Uniques being called Epics). I.... don't know how I really feel about it. I like the naming convention from WoW's item database (Worthless, Normal, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary), but I enjoy the color scheme from Diablo (being that there's a true differentiation in colors because Yellow and Gold are too damned close, and that there is a seperate color for Sets). I don't think this'll solve itself overnight in my head.

I hate to say it, but the spammers are smart in a business sense. Go for quantity. For every 10,000 people they reach, at least one person will buy something, according to the law of averages.
Either way, the only way to catch botters is to run a script from their side, to watch for specific actions, verify said actions, then have a human look into it. That'd be the only way to nab botters.

All of the changes are really good (and much needed). From what I'm seeing, nobody's getting nerfed, everybody's just having to re-learn their class.
I have high expectations for Cataclysm, and high hopes. Mayhaps the game will no longer be terribly easy.
