posted a message on Barbarian to be the Only Class Returning
There needs to be another melee class that is contrast to the Barbarian, In diablo 2 it was the Barbarian and Paladin, I hope Blizzard brings in another melee class that is more about brains and quickness with more appropriate armor sets that don't expose large amounts of skin.

posted a message on PvP Arena
Blizzard makes Millions, so whatever they do, I'd expect the PvP to be good since it's such a big part of Diablo. Has anyone reminded them yet or made sure that part of their focus is on PVP? By the way, your idea is alright. Maybe Blizzard will develope servers that are primarliy for PvP which can hold a higher number of players than Normal servers. If not, the max amount of players on a server is only around 6-8 probably, so I think there would be to few players to use the arena option. With only 6-8 players I'd like some open PvP that doesn't require someones recongition. Right Eflen Lied ?

After hearing the trailer music again, I really can't believe they didn't use a better sound track. If I was blind folded and had to guess what game this sound track would fit best, Diablo would have been the last to come to my mind. They should have used a more dark sinister symphonic track. I think the best part of the revealing was when the guy with the guitar came up on stage and played the main theme of Tristram.

I guess it would be kind of difficult to fit that kind of music into the type of scene they presented Diablo 3 with that contained so much action. But I still think another sound track a bit more Diablo could have been used.

All I know is that sourceless light is a good way to make an area feel more immersive or help flesh out particular characteristics of an area or object such as the church for example. When I saw those red lights I thought it brought out the corruption that has overtaken the church, felt more Epic.

I just hope Diablo 3 will have areas and sequences that feel as corrupted and evil as approaching the church in Diablo 1 for example, or some of the occurrences within the different levels under the church. But then again Diablo 1 was created years ago, and back then things were raw and hardcore, D1 was both.

posted a message on Side Quests on D3
LOL who are the 10 caveman that voted " No " for side quests, maybe they were just being funny, I don't know. But I can't think of an Action RPG in the history of Pee Wee Herman that has not included Side Quests. Those are a major part of a game as minor as they might seem, and are a good means to gain experience points, bonus skill points, and bonus attribute points. Side Quests also extend the games length a good portion, and helps you immerse yourself within that area your are in better. Without Side Quests, Diablo 3 would be go to point A to point B then to Point C so on, with no inbetween.

I have a tissue for the people that are still crying over the shoulder pad size, the rainbow, the test dungeon that won't be in the final game, the black spot on the guys shoe, the blue green lighting in some areas, and the gargoyle statue.

    Both. :P

Been a while since I played Soul Reaver 2 or Baldur's Gate 2 but from what I remember they had pretty eerie music that fit.

Most definitely, played Soul Reaver 2 a few years ago and the same for Baldur's Gate 2. A month ago though, I decided to reorder the Baldur's Gate 2 collection again since I never finished Throne of Bhaal. So yeah I'm currently in ToB after completing SoA, and let me tell ya, the music is even better in ToB than SoA, Watcher Keep Dungeon is worth the price alone. Only paid $5.00+ for the collection brand new. I always order the older games off of Amazon, amazing prices and fast shipping from various merchants.

lol good stuff again, the best thing to do to prevent these things, is to create a free account at www.box.net and store your game saves online, they offer free online file storage up to 1GB which is more than enough for saved game files, and charge for 5gb to 15gb. I've had game files stored on there for a few months now.

Yeah I doubt the ACTUAL gameplay music will have lyrics in it. They just wanted the announcement video to draw as much hype as possible.

Yeah I agree, and that's what is to be expected, so was that a Yeah to playing Soul Reaver 2 ? or just to acknowledge my statement, or both ?

As long as they have a slimmer melee class that looks classy in it's armor and not a big piece of meat, for instance a Knight or Paladin would be nice, I don't really care how ginormous the Barbarian is, and accept his huge shoulder pads because it's good variety guys. That's what it is all about, and you know it, you know it Daemero don't lie.

I'm hoping the bulk of Diablo 3's gameplay soundtracks mostly switch between Ambient and Musical with no lyrics ever apparent. You know, Baldur's Gate 2 style.

Or Soul Reaver 2, you play that one Daemero ?
